sses by. that is not our main system. here's what we are looking at as far as timing of this particular storm. between noon and 3:00 p.m. light snow will begin from west to east. then, a little bit later on in the afternoon during the evening rush the steady snow will fall, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. after that it will be ending. we will see snow ending by about midnight and just as some flurries. winter weather advisories have been posted to the west of philadelphia, through reading, berks county chester county even delaware county and new castle county delaware for potentially slightly higher amounts there with some colder temperatures. the here's what to expect. two to 3 inches of snow possible and then advisory area, and for the rest of us just about one to 2 inches of snow expect. where we do see mix with some rain, some sleet maybe even some freezing rain extreme south jersey, central and southern delaware, we are talking about a coat to go an inch of snow there. all and all, conditions will be conducive for that snow to

say that dorvilier had items on her for lighting a fire and she made several attempt to mislead a witness about the burning baby including saying it wasn't hers. scene by jail hyphernkemberly darnviller made her first a court a appearance after ago rested for murder of her new born daughter. the she left her pemberton home have after giving birth in a bathroom. then drove the baby a couple miles to a dark road to kill her. >> wrapped the new born in a towel and lifted the towel and infant on fire. >> reporter: according to court document dorvilier had wd40 spray and lighter on her. eyewitness dave joseph saw the fire out in front of his house but told it was burning dog waste. when he saw what was really burning documents say dorvilier claimed it is not my baby. >> essentially interrupted in the act of committing the crime by the gentlemen. >> reporter: investigators found a bloody rag and blood trail leading from the back of dorvilier a's home to the

driveway. her mother and sister were home but told police they weren't aware dorvilier had had given birth. immediately after the judge dismissed dorvilier, several upset woman rush from the courtroom. >> are you family, miss dorvilier can you talk to us for a second about the crime committed. >> we're not interested. >> reporter: can you talk about the death of the infant? >> reporter: burlington county prosecutor's office says officially the new born baby girl did not have a name. tomorrow night, there is going to be a church vigil. we're live from mount holly cleve bryan cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> cleve thanks very much. developing right now, bensalem township police after rested this man, 36 year-old david hibs, charged with sexually a assaulting two young girls in his home. police say that the nine and ten year-old claimed that they were inappropriately touched, touring a sleep over. tonight, police say there may be more victims. the suspect's attorney says his client is not guilty. >> of course, he is innocent

a gunman is dead and doctor is in critical condition after a shooting at the a boston hospital today. this happened around 11:00 a a.m. at brigham and women's hospital. a cardiac surgeon was shot twice and his injuries are life threatening. authorities later found body of the suspect in an examination room. he died, from an apparent self

inflict gunshot wound and police say that the shooter did target the the surgeon. a construction worker is dead and a tractor trailer driver, injured after an overpass collapsed in cincinnati. that overpass came crashing down, on to interstate 75 last night, and emergency crews say the area is closed as they clean up, and investigate what happened. cincinnati police say the collapse was related to construction. six members of the family, some of them believed to be children, are still unaccounted for following fire that destroyed their multi million-dollar home in annapolis, maryland. that fire gutted the 16,000 square foot home early yesterday, maryland records list the homeowners of don pile a tech executive and his wife, sandra. former pennsylvania senator rick santorum may be gearing up for another run at the presidency. the republican is reportedly hired a team of fundraisers and met with close advisors to explore a possible 2016 bid. santorum finished second in the 2012 presidential primary behind the eventual nominee

winter. at least it is cold enough to make snow. we had a few flurries earlier today. lets go to our live neighborhood network. this is whitefield elementary school in reading. weak system brought through some minor precipitation but it was pretty late this afternoon and made roads wet, a little bit of wet snow and flurries there. we're all dry. we are looking at conditions that will be improving overnight but temperatures will be falling rather fast. on storm scan three you can see a few sprinkles left here in south jersey a and that will be moving toward the east, for the rest of us just a mostly cloudy sky all eyes are on our next system the clipper we have been talking about. it doesn't look like much right now as it has been north and south dakota moving into minnesota but it will be swiftly moving toward the the south east and we will see redevelopment, off the coast which could even hans this moisture. that is tricky part of this clipper. right now in philadelphia 41. 35 degrees in allentown. twenty-eight in the poconos. pretty cold air. so tomorrow morning no issues

for morning commute, it will be dry, cold temperatures will be around 30 degrees. by the a afternoon some steady light snow, and then by the evening the the snow will be ending, for the night time hours between 9:00 p.m. and midnight we will see that snow coming to an end but it will be cold. slick spots will be developing. so we will watch our clippers move across the region and in the wake it the will be seasonal for thursday, a little breeze which sunshine quiet gannon friday, and before a few more systems come our way. for this particular system, we do see the chance of seeing a little bit more than 2 inches through reading, through chester county, northern new castle county and points west. two to 3 inches expect for you. one to 2 inches for rest of us. extreme south jersey and central and southern delaware a coating to an inch of snow since we do anticipate that mixing with some rain. now this two to 3 inches could shift, depending on how much moisture we will get as this system redevelops off shore. overnight tonight mostly cloudy chilly low

"eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter is live in doylestown where tollefson who represented himself told a jury today he is no criminal walt. >> reporter: that case went into the hand of the jurors five women, seven men, just about two hours ago, they continue to deliberate into

the evening right now the trial now in its third week everyone is awaiting word on the the fate of tollefson here. former tv sportscaster don tollefson decline comment outside of the courtroom. but inside during an occasionally rambling hour long closing argument he told jurors that allegedly defrauding more than 200 people out of $340,000 in a ponzi scheme was just a matter of confusion and bad accounting. the not criminal intent. i say to anyone i owe money too i live a life of humiliating reflection, every day, i'm trying to change to the best of my ability. >> the defense argument is it was not an attempt to defraud. >> reporter: but prosecutors told jurors how tollefson allegedly ripped off a long list of charities, and contributors. not buying the argument that it was not a criminal offense.

in the colorado movie theater shooting and jury pool is expect to be among the largest in u.s. history. the the trial, will focus on james holmes, and whether the shooter was insane when he opened fire inside of that movie theater. twelve people died, 70 were injured in july of 2012. 9,000 perspective jurors are expect to come through the centennial colorado courthouse, it is expect to take months to select that jury. right now president obama is putting final touches on his state of the union address, he will layout his vision for upcoming year when he talked to a joint session of congress tonight right here on cbs-3. cbs news correspondent craig boswell is on capitol hill with the details. >> reporter: ahead of his sixth state of the union address, president obama sat down with guests invited to show how his policy can help the middle class. >> he will put down his idea to make sure pay checks go further to make sure that people have the the training, education that they need for new jobs in the future.

quite a busy day in the traffic land if you will because we are traveling on the majors we are seeing big time delays. the good news is incidents, are low but volleys at a high. the as we look at i-95 right around girard avenue again traveling both southbound and northbound your delayed between center city and northeast philadelphia traveling, on i-95 in delaware county you have delays there as well out of the delaware state line through the commodore barry bridge and again up and over the bridge, and flyers game tonight. if you want to give yourself more time. roosevelt boulevard showing rush hour and because of delays from the schuylkill that southbound side of the boulevard is indicating a delay as well. let talk about the eastbound side of the turnpike for a second. almost at a 70 minute commute between valley forge and bensalem. right lane block between willow grove and street road as a result of emergency construction. the eastbound turnpike ace no fun zone. southbound on the blue route rush hour between schuylkill and 95, 31 minute commute.

reporting 38 degrees. cloudy skies. he said he saw light rain, milk with some snow. as a little weak disturbance moved across the area earl they're afternoon. al next mays landing, new jersey reporting 38 degrees. mostly cloudy sky. alex say we will be awesome to see snow tomorrow and saturday. alex, you may get your wish. lets look at what we're seeing outside right now down the shore. down short an area to watch for both of these systems especially coastal low, on saturday, which may be mainly rain for the coast but it looks like it could be a heavy rain and maybe mixing with snow. right now things are quiet in atlantic city on sky cam three and storm scan has returned to the quiet state as rain and snow showers have moved on out, a few light showers, there in portions of atlantic county. rest of the region is quiet but here comes our next clipper. we have been talking about this for the past week or so and here it comes, you can see it gathering moisture over minnesota, it will join up with the southerly feature as well and both of these converged on our region during the the day time tomorrow, but

by midday we will start to see, moving in from the the west, late afternoon and evening storm here in philadelphia. right now we are sitting at the 41 degrees. forty-one wilmington. thirty-four in reading. forty-two down in millville atlantic city is at 42 as well. the as we head in the afternoon hours tomorrow that is when the snow starts to pull in. notice by 5:00 we could see enhancement to our south. this is in noon. it continues to be something i'm concern about especially with the have afternoon models that have just rolled out. little coastal piece may intense feast and briefly accelerate snowfall rates down the shore and in south jersey and delaware as we head through tomorrow evening. but you will to have watch out for that mixing. if rain mixes in that will really drastically cut any snowfall accumulation amounts down the the the shore and in delaware but if you get that brief intensification and cold, we could see our higher snowfall totals down the shore. notice generally light snow in the city and suburbs. we are going to see heavier snow early in the day, off to the west and that is where winter weather advisory has been issued by 6:00 o'clock thursday morning, it is out of here. so winter weather advisory for

delaware chester county, also new castle county delaware. in the city model spread is big here. we are looking at a coat to go 2 inches, the n a.m. is the highest amount in the city of philadelphia, but again, this is not the heavier snow we have ever seen but this certainly is enough to cause slippery conditions, on area roadways just around the time of your evening commute. and then we will talk about the saturday, storm comes up from the gulf of mexico and it looks like it will try to ride the coast. what you don't have with this is a big, high, we need fresh, cold arctic air to really get a nor'easter to bomb out and bring snow along i-95 corridor. we don't have that. that doesn't mean we can't get snow but mixing will be a problem. we will see where that rain/snow line sets up on sat the day if the the storm does indeed take the the coastal track. we will have all eyes on it and keep you posted. overnight mainly cloudy, chilly at 28 degrees. for your wednesday light snow, maybe in the afternoon, we will try to mix it with rain to the south and east and you're witness weather seven day forecast dry, thursday friday, there is that rain snow threat on saturday. sunday quiet.
