weekend, it is getting busy around here, we will have more coming up. plus verdict is in, jury find former sportscaster don tollefson guilty on all counts in his fraud trial, what he said to reporters as he left the courtroom in handcuffs. we are getting our first look at dramatic dash cam video of the deadly traffic stop in south jersey "eyewitness news" at 6:00 starts right now. eye on the storm coverage tonight, a cold, wet, evening commute, as the snow just continues to fall. this is a live look from plymouth meeting montgomery county. penndot crews have been out in full force throughout the the day trying to make tonight's ride home as smooth and safe as possible. this is a live look at the the schuylkill expressway at city avenue in philadelphia, traffic you see moving along all right but drivers should remain cautious. tonight south jersey is seeing some of the heavier snowfall this video from a short time ago from cumberland

county. you can see ground and sidewalks now covered in the white stuff. snow is expect to continue to fall in parts of the the area throughout tonight. good evening i'm chris may. i'm jessica dean. school delays and closings are scrolling at the bottom of your screen and we have live weather coverage of the snow. meteorologist and reporters are all across the region keeping tab on the conditions. will we will start first with meteorologist, kathy orr, tracking what we can expect throughout the the night kathy. >> this storm system is moving through quickly. we had our clipper moving across keystone state earl ter day but now storm is redeveloping off the coast focal point is south jersey and delaware. you can see back edge of the precipitation cutting through berks county, chester county and state of delaware. heavier snow moving north and east. we will see interior south jersey some of these band of snow those darker purples that is where we're seeing heavier snow. so through mulika, estelle manor, on either side of the

press way vineland, glassboro, into southampton pick et cetera of heavier snow if you are traveling. warm air working its way from cape may county. ocean city saw heavier snow early. we are seeing an icy mix. the visibility increasedded in on spots and allentown we are down to a mile visibility. philadelphia mile and a half with foggy conditions, cape may, down to about a mile and a half as well, pos town 1.7 mount holly, 1.3. better than before but still seeing some issues with visibility. winter weather advisory continues until about 10:00 o'clock tonight. snow amounts modest so far with the highest amounts in delaware and also through south jersey. that is where we will expect big numbers. temperatures have fallen below freezing every where beside wildwood, that is only place we are still at freezing. snow has gone from a wet snow to a dryer snow. coating to an inch, throughout the suburbs, one to three as you head toward south jersey and delaware and there will be some spots in south jersey and dover through central delaware that we will see between three and even 4 inches of snow.

that is why we are sending it out to our meteorologist justin drabick live from the mobile weather lab in newark new castle county. what sit looking like now justin because you are in the the place where we are seeing higher accumulations. >> that is right we were over new castle county and southern end is seeing highest amounts but up here in the northern half, toward newark, things have been quieting down. snow has ended at least for the time being but you can see a little bit of the slush coating on the streets this is academy hill development we are here at newark delaware ape those side streets will be a problem. got news snow has stopped so able to melt. temperature is 29 degrees. those untreated surface that he is will get snow cover. we may have an inch or two on the grass area. but we will talk about what is happening as far as our graphics go you can see that slush coating here on the road right now in academy hill but is what expect through the

evening commute heaviest snow through new jersey and delaware. watch out for reduced visibility that do see that snow. wet roads slick spots, on the untreated surfaces, snow will come to an end around 8:00 in most locations. in newark delaware side streets, slushy coating here an inch or two on the grass area and trees just stay safe tonight if you have plans to head out on the roads. that is latees from the mobile weather lab new back to you in the studio. >> justin, thank you. a a lot of traffic the road as people continue to head home from work. the lets check with carol erickson live from pennsauken camden county with a look at things there carol. >> reporter: you know, it looks here like the traffic is less. i think sunday's accident served as a gigantic warning flag to a lot have drivers. normally this road right here route 70 heading right on over into philadelphia would be so much more crowded but coming out of philadelphia, going in to philadelphia very light

traffic but the roads are wet. i just want to call your attention really fast to the sidewalks though. that will be an issue in a number of neighborhoods but for now i think it is what happened on sunday that is on everybody's mind. the big anti snow guns came out early on this one, to prevent a repeat of sunday's frozen traffic disaster. >> sunday, i saw two flipped over cars, i spun out work van and i saw tow truck off on the ditch. >> reporter: while his no thanks for scary memories, that and these wet road combined to put a slow commute into perspective. >> you have to wait for me so when i get there i will pick them up and drive them home and get them from point a to point b hopefully. >> a repeat of sunday absolutely. it will get nasty tonight. stay indoors get home. >> reporter: certainly that is everybody's goal, to get home safely. notice the difference between treated and untreated. this is a parking lot, they

have seen the salt trucks go by here so obviously things are treated here on the pavement. but so many other areas are not treated even so outside on these roads thinks route 38 coming basically out of philadelphia a traffic is moving along what traffic there is, this is normally jammed. you would have three lanes leaving the city on a normal day but i think so many people were saddened and surprised by sunday that they looked at this and they see wet roads abe temperatures at freezing and you this say we will go home. reporting live from pennsauken, carol erickson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". penndot trucks are on the move this is cell even if video from the blue route, crews working hard to keep the roads clear of that snow and ice. our team coverage continues with "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt live in media delaware county with the latest on those conditions david. >> reporter: it is a beautiful night in media right now and

back on "eyewitness news" at 6:00 we are an eye on the storm, live look at the the schuylkill expressway, snow continues to fall as people make their way home, meteorologist kathy orr is tracking this fast moving system and she will tell us, when this snow moves out, plus details about another storm on the horizon, that is coming up in just a few minutes. former sportscaster, don tollefson is taken to prison. a bucks county jury convicted tollefson of defrauding his charity of selling bogus sports travel packages. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter spoke to tollefson after the the verdict was announced. >> i appreciatate the the support that i have received from so many people in the community. >> reporter: former sports tv broadcaster don tollefson thank those who supported him moments after a jury quick him

on all five fraud and theft counts. >> what is your reaction to the don, were you surprised. >> the jury had has spoken and i believe, i believe in our legal system. >> reporter: tollefson found guilty of ripping off more than 200 donors and charities on bogus sports travel packages. pocketing much of the $349,000. >> i think he is a narcissist, he has a god complex and he clearly loves himself more than anybody or anything else in the world. >> reporter: moments after the verdict jurors and victims, some with tears in their eyes spoke about what the the versace particular meant to them. >> he got what he deserved and there is a god, he has spoken loud and clear today. >> i think he is a good guy, you know eventually his life fell apart and he was not able to captain. >> reporter: tollefson tried to convince jurors he a had no criminal intent but rather it was bad bookkeeping and drug and alcohol addiction that led to the money intended for his

has reaccused herself from the shooting investigation because she knows officer dayes but a couple civil rights organizations say that is not enough. they want this case turned over to the new jersey attorney general. >> we're demanding that prosecutor mcray recues her entire staff from this investigation, give it, to the attorney general's office. >> in a statement tonight the cumberland county prosecutor's office says that it is handling the investigation, and ultimately will present the case to a grand jury unless the undisputed facts indicate that the use of force was just final under the law. in weather we're still talking about snow coming town especially in south jersey and delaware. that is where heaviest is. our weather watchers have been on the job throughout this afternoon and into the evening, hours. they are telling us temperatures are falling and we have some icy spots in

locations as well. shawn is reporting a a temperature of 29 degrees, in norwood, you can see 33 to the north of trenton steven ace in robbinsville, light wind and snow showers in 30 and we will take it down to south jersey where right now the the temperature is 30 degrees reported in somerdale. i want to show you a a few quick picks this is one of my favorites today fire marshall joey saying a snowy night for rosie in somerdale. you have to love that. take a look outside where it is snowing pretty good. pouring snow again in ocean city cape may county. something we don't see very often when we're hardly having many flakes in the city of philadelphia kind of an upside down system as our clipper has redeveloped off shore and turned into more of a coastal system. so ocean city, cape may county heavy snow during early evening commute and now we're seeing it again. just amazing already pick up an inch or two so more heavy snow on the board and when you

can see snow with such big juicy flakes because temperatures are right around freezing and you can see this in the dark it is coming down hard there i want to show you photos because everyone has been very helpful. thanks rich in brigantine a snow covered beach looking very pretty carter has his snow boots on in riverside new jersey. thanks to the eyewitness weather watchers and eyewitness cam photos really great this afternoon and this evening. storm can three showing snow lifting north and east but i want to draw your attention to south jersey. we are seeing deep return of snow in atlantic county, cape may county we are seeing pink i showed thaw picture from ocean city mix nothing with warm air we have these big juicy snow flakes and heavier snow once again will be through interior south jersey and up the new jersey shore. the winter weather advisory continuing until will 10:00 o'clock tonight but mostly tapering off from the southwest toward the northeast and by about eight or 9:00 o'clock. right now temperatures below freezing with the exception of wildwood still sitting at

32 degrees. we will watch as everything refreezes. we will have wet spots, so watch out for some icy patches, as we will be seeing some black ice developed on those untreated surfaces. next we will look at the storm potential for saturday, saturday we have one models pulling the storm off shore this is european model a westerly track that provides snow, it provides rain, and thinks the best chance of seeing any type of significant snow accumulation but still a a lot of details to iron out. offer night watch for ice patches after the snow end, low of 25, during the day tomorrow high of 40, turning sunny and on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven day forecast, 39 friday a coastal storm on saturday, still have to determine that track and its impact and sunday quiet monday a chance of a few snow showers again and then quiet but cold for tuesday and wednesday. >> all right, bumpy ride for a while, kathy thanks. 6:20. we're going outside into new jersey on the 42 freeway we

can see not doing too bad actually. southbound lanes we are seeing volume on the drive home but actually everything moving just fine with brake lights you can see, wet roadway there so we know potential tension to be slippery so give extra space from the car in front of you. surprisingly, we are not really jam here. this is around sit avenue westbound toward king of prussia. you can see snow falling around the area as well we like to see everybody keeping their distance there and a hopefully most people made it home by now. for patco five to ten minute delays between linen world and philadelphia due to weather-related incidents here. stay there cbs-3 "eyewitness news" will be right back.

it is the basketball night in south philadelphia, the sixers host the knicks and new signe langston galloway out of st. joes. langston was signed two weeks ago from the d league and has become a bright spot in the down season for new york. langston is having a sudden rise to starting guard. >> it is fun. my friend and family will be at the game. they will definitely be excited to see me out there and i'll be exited to play in philly again. >> the investigation into allegation that is patriots have been using footballs inflated 2 pounds per square inch below nfl requirements. it turns out they have been watching the patriots since november the 16th. the nfl is not commenting.
