think you need to pay close attention especially through that monday night tuesday time period. so we will continue to detail all of this, this storm is evolving. we are looking a at a ben franklin bridge, unlike what ended up happening last sunday morning, it is opened this morning but just know that black ice can be out there. especially maybe on your sidewalk or your driveway but it can be on these secondary roads. we did get melting yesterday and some areas we have temperatures below the freezing mark. 35 degrees is our temperature in philadelphia. thirty-five in allentown. it is 31 in millville. we've got temperatures through central, new jersey that are at or below the the the freezing mark. we will get to the the shore and we are just above. 29 degrees up in the poconos this morning. so we are going to be looking at, a condition today that is, the day, to get out and make your preparations. if you have not, if you have have not -- hate to send people to the store but if you have in the gone to the store or done the normal routine i
6:18 am
would do it the because it will be a lot easier to do it today then it will be over the next couple of days because we're watching this storm system develop. again, the the timing, the track, et cetera, not set but we do know that it is probably going to be impact full on your day. so winter storm watch goes into effect monday afternoon through tuesday morning. yes, we are getting snow overnight tonight and first part of monday but that is light in comparison to what looks to becoming with some heavy snow very likely and blowing, drifting snow as well and that will be for this winter storm watch you can see that does cover everybody out of this. this is a system that could be well become a blizzard almost to the north. here's by the north i mean, as you head to northern new jersey and points north of that. so light snow, develops tonight between 9:00 and midnight. the period of some snow on monday, a slow morning commute can be expect tomorrow. and then monday night the storm will be intensifying off the coast and then by the time we get to later on that night
6:19 am
and early on tuesday, additional snow is possible. and, we are looking at, if i can get this click tore work speed and track will determine the amounts. and the amounts are all over the the place. according to some of these computer models. let's just say generally three to six through the philadelphia area the the shore maybe less than that. but this storm is evolving. look at this, these are the computer models this is one of the difficulties because all of these computer models have a different scenario. this is by the time we get to monday afternoon but watch what happens by the time we get to tuesday morning this one says we have almost 9 inches of snow this one says we have three and a half inches. then we will add more possibly by the time this thing is totally done. this computer mod he he will wants to put almost 10 inches of snow over us, this one, a foot, and the euro is one that we often look at. but again you've got some of the others saying no, are you crazy, it will be much less
6:20 am
than that and that is why it is very difficult at this stage of the game to determine exactly who gets the most, when. but just know that as we go through the overnight tonight first thing tomorrow morning the heavier part of the storm is still waiting. this is the lightes part first thing in the morning maybe even some rain mixing in along the the shore but as we go on through time we will be finding some of this snow filling on in and we will get that from monday night right until, we get to tuesday, maybe even through the afternoon. so today, the the day to get out, get all of the things that you need done, 40's philadelphia, 42 at the shore. poconos 32 degrees. protect yourselves, your pets check on the elderly friend and neighbors. starting tonight you will in the the want to be outside that much. 23 degrees. it the will be cold at the the very least and snowy. the snow starts overnight, we will get light snow through the morning and heavy snow picks up in the afternoon monday afternoon overnight and into tuesday and tuesday's high 28 and then after that really cold,
