now to a cbs-3 i team exclusive. on duty sex probe rocks the philadelphia fire department. sources a say a dozen male fire department personnel are suspect of having sex with a female member. the a alleged sexual acts happened at firehousees in at least one vehicle. they are now being investigated by the philadelphia inspector general's office. eye witt the necessary news i team investigative reporter walt hunter is live at fire department headquarters with exclusive details walt. >> reporter: sources tell thaws report from the inspector jennies now in the hand of top fire officials here and they are expected to make a decision on possible disciplinary action against the male in members in the very near future. also expected to becoming new and clearer guidelines on frat nicing inside philadelphia firehousees. sources tell cbs-3 that philadelphia fire department officials are now considering possible disciplinary action against as many as a dozen male fire department members suspect of having sex on duty

with a female in member. following an investigation by the philadelphia inspector general. among the allegations sources say, a female member found engaging in sex with two male members inside of a vehicle and sources confirmed that sexual activity a among the female and male members at several firehousees around the city. well, top city officials are not commenting sources say investigators from the special victims june writ he immediately alerted to the allegations months ago but determined there were no ground for filing criminal charges. the inspector general then took over the investigation. sources say that the decision by fire officials here on possible disciplinary action will be guided by a new discipline code newly enacted by the fire department. in addition sources indicate that there may well be new policies on firehouse frat says in the near future and

>> reporter: well, chris, the city a has been quiet all day to day not your typical tuesday, and that is because many people decided to stay home because of the snow. but you know that lack of foot traffic can hurt many businesses in the city. >> forecast is, busts, if you call that it do happen. >> reporter: many businesses have been hurt by this missed forecast. mayor nutter made decision monday to shut down the city and school district called it a snowpday. >> rather be prepared and subsequently disappointed with inconvenience then under prepared and surprised with an any kind of a tragedy. >> reporter: but businesses like this newspaper stand rely on the foot traffic and with city hall closed it is like a ghost town here. >> it is like a holiday, like a saturday or holiday because many people did not come down today. >> small business that is rely on a day to day type of a business, catering to office

>> same, thank you. farther north of new jersey you go the the more snow you'll see. meteorologist justin drabick hits the cbs-3 mobile weather lab to toms river ocean county and he joins us now live, justin. >> reporter: good evening, that is right. many residents in central new jersey spent their day cleaning up from this nor'easter and you can see decent amount of snow on the ground. take a measurement here. we are measuring the grass there has been blowing and drifting but you can get the idea. 5.5 inches of snow. depend where you make your measurements but not as much as we expect from this storm system but enough to have a good clean up. it took effort today to clean up the snow the the snow was piling up, while at toms river residents were fast asleep. but road crews were on the job, all night. >> it kept coming down, real blustery and coming down in increments, and plow comes back in. busy all night. >> reporter: code conditions have improved, mostly a slushy mess but there could be icy

backyard. you can see some snow there and he says it is a beautiful picture and the skies are slowly clearing in levittown. we will take you to the north and west where it is only 29 degrees. eileen is saying wind out of the northwest at 2 miles an hour getting ready for some colder conditions with some light snow that fell, a little bit earlier on and we will take you further south, toward the shore where it is on the cold side 26 degrees, especially talking about superior south jersey a and chatsworth mark says 26 degrees cloudy skies 3 inches there. high temperatures across the delaware valley today were decent in the 30's and 40's. and robbinsville, steve reporting 33. and jimmies saying in philadelphia, we made it to a high temperature of 31 degrees. we did capture some pretty pictures over the course of the day, carolyn says yes we missed out on the snow but we had a very beautiful sunset in the city of philadelphia you can see over here michael took

a pretty picture of his backyard right there to the north and west of philadelphia a. now we are looking at conditions that are changing as we take a look at storm scan three. skies are clearing. storm system riding up to the north. we are looking at dryer conditions on the the way across the board and during the day tomorrow as well but it will get pretty cold around here. take a look at our eyewitness neighborhood network where we're taking it to bayhead this is point pleasant beach where they pick up some snow they had some win, you can see that in ocean county. temperature 28 degrees now on the northern beaches, wind northwest at 3 miles an hour, skies do begin to clear even there in the central part of the jersey shore. snow accumulation as cross the region in new jersey pick prognosis up higher accumulations 4.4 inches of snow and storm was a little bit further east you can see tobyhanna a 2.8 wynnewood 2 inches bellmawr two glassgow delaware .4 of an inch of snow. temperatures are cold in the

zero's and 20's and teens in the poconos but take a look at the what it will feel like by the morning. we are talking about another blast of very cold air, temperatures will be in the teens, wind chills in the single numbers and tomorrow morning in the poconos it will feel like ten below. during the afternoon improvement, temperatures will be in the 30's but wind chills still in the 20's in fail and going in the single numbers as we move toward the north. our storm system well to the north in new england still impacting, and, 30 inches of snow, during the day, sunshine and cold that cold air, is locked in for thursday and this next clipper system expecting a light accumulation of snow. no redevelopment with this storm. we are looking at morning snow showers possible friday as this skirts away and skies begin to clear. nothing significant in our forecast coming up. overnight clouds will break, low temperature around 16 degrees. wind chills in the single numbers. wednesday mostly sunny, breezy doesn't take much wind to
