"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo at the scene in norristown to tell you more about it, jan? good morning, fire crews have now cleared the scene here on east main street in norristown, no more high levels of carbon monoxide, the good news, also no injuries at

two separate locations where there were problems overnight. take a look at the video. this is what the scene looked like just few hours ago. this was an underground electrical fire involving peco equipment. the smoke, from that fire, backed up into several businesses here, and caused high levels of carbon monoxide. so fire crews were going door-to-door making sure there wasn't anyone inside, fortunately, this is largely a commercial area, so, again there were no injuries. crews ventilated three businesses here, and have since cleared the scene. this all started around midnight, on east main street, near swede street. again, crews quickly put out the electrical fire showing light pole. afterward, that's when they detected those dangerous levels of gas and upon going door-to-door fire crews actually discovered an unrelated gas leak, at some nearby apartment. back inside their ants this morning, and the focus returns to the electrical problem outside of the local businesses here, take a listen. >> crews have start investigating buildings found

high levels of carbon monday okay identify in buildings, up to 38 parts per million of carbon monoxide inside of manholes. trying to address the situation, at the same time, going door-to-door to make sure no high levels of carbon monoxide in the buildings and ventilate as we go through. >> built action why send late dollars, work now done, people owe actually left the scene we're told by the fire chief, that peco crews will likely have to come back to the scene, shut off power that's still on right now and do the work underground, and he says, that may likely close business here later on today we'll bring you developments as soon as we get them. jan carabeo, "eyewitness news". >> jan thank you. developing now the measles outbreak reaches pennsylvania. health officials are warning people in cumberland and franklin counties that may have been expose today measles by somebody who has the virus. we're toll that infected person went to wal-mart, and also urgent care in shippensberg along with the hospital in chambersberg.

that's right fire crews have now cleared the scene here on east main street, in norristown, this morning. no more high levels of carbon monoxide, you can see the road has reopened, and no injuries, so that's all the good news. however, the fire chief tells us peco will likely have a big job on its hands later today, they'll have to dig to find a problem with underground electrical equipment. a problem, a fire involving peco equipment and a light pole was quickly extinguishing by firefighters around midnight. but where there is fire, there is smoke. and because the wires are underground here, smoke backed up into nearby businesses, and gave off dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. crews found carbon monoxide in billings up 38 parts per million inside manholes. >> as crew walked door-to-door to make sure there were no injuries. they discovered an unrelated gas leak caused by bad heater in apartment just blocks away
