nd camden county and gloucester as we speak. as we zoom in this is all coming in with an arctic air mass, with a front that is passing through it is not going to last long but if you live in gloucester, even mount laurel, edge water park, you may be seeing some of this snow. it will be reducing visibility as a pass through. this is what to expect. brief burst of snow, in the city it the just produced a coat bug enough to make things slick as we fall below freezing in the evening. it will reduce visibility temporarily and drift ago cross the roadways with these strong gusty wind. so please be aware of that driving this evening. wind gusting to 25 in the city. we have gust ted to 36 though. dover gusting to 30. wilmington gusting to 31 as an arctic front moves through. this is what we expect temperatures falling in the 20's by 9:00 p.m. you can see 27 wind chill at 11. the at 11:00 o'clock at night we have a temperature of 21 degrees, moon lit skies but wind chill only at four. these wind are going to get even worse over the next

several hours into tomorrow morning. for more on that i will send to it cherry hill and my collogue carol erickson. you have to let us know when snow arrives there, carol. >> you know, we're really thinks the warmest part of our forecast coming up and i want to tell you it will be brutally cold. right now mobile weather lab in cherry hill we have 34 degrees. that does not factor in wind. you can see the wind. you can see tree branches moving and you can notice power lines. that is one of the things people are of coercing to be watching any of those tree limbs that can potentially come down on a power line. you don't need that with temperatures as cold as they will be. so lets take a look. we have a wind advisory until 6:00 o'clock tomorrow morning and wind will be out of the northwest, 20, 30 miles an hour. they could gust as high as 50 miles an hour, obviously in your neighborhood, secure any lose objects, tree limbs can potentially come down and they get enough wind gusts on them and power outages are possible especially near

reason. efforts in the meantime are being made to temporarily try and sure up this house with the family who lives here, will have to find alternative housing, until a more permanent fix can be made here. the that is story reporting live right now from cherry hill, new jersey, todd quinones for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". todd, thanks very much. there is more breaking news right now a day after he announce that he had is resigning from office, pennsylvania state treasurer, rob mccord, now admits he committed a crime by threatening campaign donors if they did not contribute to his campaign for governor last year. he apologized, in a videotaped statement just released by his lawyer. >> i stepped over the the line by trying to take advantage of the that two potential contributors hoped to continue to do business with the commonwealth. by developing talking points to remind them that i could make things difficult for them, i essentially said that the potential contributor should not risk making an energy of the state treasurer.

right behind me. it happened here in broad daylight. the one of the things that the suspect may not have been counting on is identity of his target, yet people that park here remain here. >> lots of federal agents park in here. >> reporter: while authorities say there is never a right target for a carjacking friday they made it clear that someone pick the wrong one. >> yes, bad luck for him but even worse for the victim it should president happen to anybody. >> reporter: victim an armed immigration and customs enforcement home land security investigation, special agent. the ice agent parking at government vehicle in this garage at tatnol street it is when crook attempts the carjacking, federal investigators release had this statement saying quote, in the course of the attempted carjacking the agent discharged one round from an agency issued firearm. the carjacker fled and was arrested by wilmington police, ice is working with local authorities in their investigation into this incident.

moving south and east, through montgomery county, through parts of philadelphia county now that is heading in to south jersey. if you see a brief snow burst just know it is not going to last that long. our attention will be drawn though to the southwest you can see through albuquerque denver seeing some snow, and this is our next storm that will be moving in sunday and of course, into monday. look at these watches. these are winter storm watches, starting off in des moines, moving through the the midwest, minneapolis, state college and pittsburgh and right now we have a winter storm watch in effect for lancaster county and all begins sunday and continues into monday for potential heavy snow. during the overnight hours, temperatures will be plunging. the right now in the so bad 34 in philadelphia. eighteen in the poconos and reading, it is 29 degrees. the to the north and west, much colder state college at 19 buffalo at the 15, pittsburgh at 15, so we will be seeing that colder air moving in. the it is a look what it will feel like.

seven day forecast, jessica. kate thanks. rap mogul su ge knight is behind bars tonight charged with murder. eyewitnesses claim he ran over two men following an argument and fled the scene. danielle nottingham has the latest in this investigation. >> reporter: suge knight surrendered to authorities to los angeles overnight. death row record founder was arrested on suspicion of murder after investigators say knight ran over two men in compton and fled the scene. >> can you say anything about the allegations against him? >> reporter: detective say knight began arguing with two men on film set in compton before the fight moved to the parking lot of this nearby burger joint. >> i noticed that they were turning around and then walk toward his car. >> reporter: witnesses say knight rammed his red pick up into the the men and drove over them twice before speeding off. knight's friend actor terry carter was killed a second man was injury. >> they appeared to have gang ties or at least an associate with gangs in this area.

>> reporter: homicide detectives questioned knight here at this station in west hollywood. knight's attorney says his client was just trying to escape a attackers. knight has a long history with violence. he pleaded not guilty to a robbery charge in november. and he was shot six times at an l.a. nightclub in august. knight is being held on two million-dollar bail for thursday fatal hit and run. danielle noting had ham for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". knight is credited with launching careers of doctor dre, snoop dog and tupac shaker. he was driving the car that he was shot and killed in 1996. a call to sell a product, it turns into a life saving call. >> how are you to day. >> unaudible. >> workers at a call center in vegas were alarmed by what they heard on that call. they quickly phoned authorities near that woman's home in oregon.

"eyewitness news" new jersey officer cleve bryan tells us how police democrats are using a different type of office tore save money. >> reporter: court security duty is first step in what eric, hopes will be a long police career. >> it is a great opportunity to get my foot in the door and learn to be a full-time police officer. >> reporter: he is a a class two officer step below a full-time sworn officer. they are one of several police departments using class two officers which have work in beach towns during the summer.

>> they don't supplant regular officer but supplement them in the fact that they can take these limited duties off the happened of the regular officers who are permanently, now curving the public on the street. >> reporter: cape may county police department which serves departments through new jersey has a 40 percent increase in demand for class two officers. they save towns money and typical starting pay around $15 an hour and in benefits. hamilton township laid off 13 full-time officers in 2011 and increased their rolls. they have five class two's and do prisoner transport and court security. >> it is not full-time five day a week job. part time officer and is there a savings. >> serious concerns about class two officers. >> reporter: mainland president, ray says class two expansion hinders full-time hires, and class two's don't have legal protection provided by union. >> potential is there for them to be abused because they will do whatever it is that is asked of them, to obtain a full-time position. >> reporter: experts see the trend of hiring part-time police as only continuing to

grow. and new jersey law allows for up to 25 percent of the police force, to be class two officers. in egg harbor township i'm cleve bryan cbs-3 "eyewitness news". former massachusetts governor mitt romney made it official and said he will in the run a third time for the white house. in a phone call to supporters and staff, the 2012 republican nominee, said that he was convinced he could win the nomination again but that it would have been a hard fight. romney says it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to be the next nominee. joining us now from washington is john dickerson the political director for cbs news and he will be on face the the nation this sunday. john, it is not surprising that mitt romney is not going to run again but he has kept us guessing for a few weeks now. why do you think he did it that way, what was the benefit to him. >> reporter: in the end romney definitely still thought he would make the best president among the field. he thought he could beat likely democratic nominee hillary clinton but in the end hurdles were just too high for
