survived a terrifying fall the girl's mother says that curiosity about the the snow led her to make a two story plunge in north philadelphia. miraculously she wasn't injured. girl and her mother talk with "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry about this frightening ordeal. if you ask keisha hall why she opened up her bedroom window her answer is simple. >> akita williams put her daughter in bed around 9:00 on the 1800 block of susquehanna avenue. by 12:30, ikeisha woke up and saw flurries coming down. that is when she opened up her second story bedroom window and fell out. neighbors rushed to write the girl inside. >> i didn't know what was going on. i was expecting my baby was sleeping. >> reporter: neighbors told williams ikeisha fell out and landed on the grass just inches from concrete steps. >> the screen was right there so she must have landed on it. >> reporter: ikeisha was rushed to the hospital . it turns out she didn't have any serious injuries.

each other they got on the trolley together right here at septa stop underneath the clothespin and then just minutes later, the brawl breaks out vicious fight that was caught on a cell phone camera, you can see group of what appears to be teenagers punch, kick and slap one male and a 17 year-old girl. >> unaudible. >> reporter: septa police boarded trolley around forty-ninth and lancaster avenue in west philadelphia, after the trolley operator contacted the police. but by then a suspect had runaway, leaving behind a two victims who were interviewed by police. >> they explained to the transit police officers that they know the people that they were involved in the fight with and that they were on going to prosecute or pursue the the investigation. >> reporter: fight happened at around 11:30 saturday night despite victim's lack of cooperation police are working the school district to help identify the suspect. they face simple assault

philadelphia bus stop. the "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is live at the police headquarters with the very latest steve. >> reporter: well, natasha, not only did we learn the break in the case that led to that arrest but also a motive for the man who committed murder in cold blood. >> we're both shocked and saddened by this news. >> reporter: in a prepared statement, mike vogel ceo of a non-profit based on helping children had to explain how one of his employees just confessed to the cold blooded murder of another. >> thinks a very difficult situation for everyone. >> reporter: in a candid moment blinking back tears he went off script. >> she was my friend. >> reporter: on the morning of january 13th, 56 year-old kim jones, walk to the the bus stop near her home in north philadelphia captured on surveillance video, a man dressed in all black stops ambushes and then shoots her once in the back of the head.

in an execution style murder. >> this is the type of investigation that leaves you both angry and confounded. >> reporter: for weeks, detectives watched hundreds of hours of video until the break in the case. the suspect's vehicle matched a co-workers vehicle. thirty-six year-old randolph sanders. >> mr. sanders was brought in the homicide unit on saturday for questioning and he gave a full confession on committing this premeditated and senseless murder. >> reporter: jones, a program director at dhs funded turning point for children hired sanders. police say motive is in the confession. jones found out sanders was stealing upward of $40,000 from the non-profit, and was getting on that bus to report him. >> sanders has been arrested and charged with kim jones murder. >> reporter: officials believe that theft was a isolated incident from the non-profit although they have hired a third party investigators to

conduct a separate investigation. reporting live from philadelphia police headquarters i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now an update or on a story reported first on three. sources tell "eyewitness news" that beginning today seven mens of the philadelphia fire department are expect to learn what, if any, discipline they will face following a report by the philadelphia inspector general and allegations of on duty sexual conduct by philadelphia fire fighters. sources tell us that the contact allegedly was among male fire fighter and female member at firehousees and at least one fire department vehicle. cbs f first reported the existence last week. the sources also revealed that the first two members are expect to meet with top fire officials today with others meeting later in the week. an attorney for the female member of the department who is not under inn investigation declined to comment on the report today. city officials were not providing any details on their

well, breaking news into cbs-3 "eyewitness news" right now. former pennsylvania treasurer rob mccord plans to plead guilty to federal extortion charges. prosecutors submitted papers in federal court in harrisburg today, charging mccord with two counts of extortion. the paper is included a plea assigned by mccord. in mccord resigned last week and a will pol guyed in a video released by his lawyers last friday. you can start this winter, hash tag six more weeks of winter i see. >> well, who knew punxsutawney phil is in to social media. that is a new twist, the famous prognosticating groundhog did predict six more weeks of winter today.

kelly, 33. margot reporting 33. in blue bell down to 27 degrees in. and greg wood at 39. but in hightstown, new jersey it is just 27 degrees. what we're concerned about as these temps drop quickly in the 20's is the threat for ice. we're monitoring road conditions right now with our cbs-3 mobile weather lab. it is on the road here on montgomery avenue in conshohocken state the road in montgomery county. the road are actually looking dry from what i can see right there. the good news is precipitation moves out a couple hours ago and that has given us time to dry things out before the real cold start to come in. traffic is moving okay for now, but we will see what happens later especially in areas still dealing with some precipitation. storm scan three shows this system moving out. it is still snowing in portions of new england, once again that area that got hit with the brunt of the storm near boston. that band moving through and wreaking havoc on the evening commute. for us we have get cold air coming in behind the storm. we are tracking one lingering

snow squall and that moving through burlington county and ocean county as well. we will zoom in on that. i got a text message from carol erickson who said is there grabble falling in burlington county a lot of people on twitter asked me is what grabble? grabble are snow pallets, like these little balls of snow, pellets, soft pellets, and that falls from the sky. not icy and hard like sleet is. your winter weather advisory goes until midnight tonight. that is due to the icing concerns. temperatures really plumet. we will see ice start to form across the region. win gusts right now are looking at 41 miles an hour in philadelphia. 39 miles an hour in philadelphia in wilmington. as we head through rest of tonight that wind advisory goes until midnight for southeastern pennsylvania delaware and south jersey for gusts to 40 to 50 miles an hour. secure loose object is his, possible tree limbs down. temperatures right the now 36 at the airport. we are at 21 in allentown and future temperatures drop, 20's by 8:00 overnight we're in the
