irradically no headlines. >> victim said to the sergeant. i have just been shot. >> the time, about 1:30 a.m. and minutes before, the 22 year old victim told the sergeant he was driving on the six a hundred block every paschall not far from the station, when he heard three shots ring out. then realized, he had been hit. acting quickly the sergeant got the victim into a police cruiser, and drove him to penn hospital for treatment. >> halfway between this location and the hospital, the victim, who was talking then just became unconscious. >> back at the shooting scene police found witness who heard the shots and may have seen a get-away car. >> and i said the shooter was last seen in a dark colored or black dodge charger. we have no description of the shooter just description of the vehicle. a dark black dodge charger

. >> the away car likely black or dark colored charger. police have cancer all over the area trying to find lease in this case this morning. >> we know he went straight to surgery, and unconscious name not being released. live in southwest philly, justin fin. i "eyewitness news". >> a 13 year old girl is behind bars this morning after police say an argument at a nicetown laudromat escalate today double shooting. investigators say they found two women shot inside an s.u.v. last night along the 2600 block of roberts avenue. bullets hit one woman in the torso, and grazed her head. the second victim was hit in the leg. before they were taken to the hospital, police say the women identified the teen and her 44 year old relative as the shooters. authorities in camden are trying to figure out what started a fire inside a vacant house. >> this was the scene around 1:00 here on the 700 block of mount vernon street. it took crews about an hour to

early. and that's okay. because we do want you to slow down, we want you to give yourself extra time. with not a a lot of volume, you'll get yourself there faster. ninety-five around cottman avenue southbound headed toward the center city area, usually seymour delay and also losing right hands lanes there due to ongoing construction but moving along fine so far. ben franklin bridge looking good from the jersey side, from the toll plaza headed westbound into the city all lanes completely open into philadelphia and moving along no problem. we have some speed restrictions still on the commodore barry bridge, of 35 miles an hour, due to icy conditions. and, reports of icy conditions, out on the vine street expressway right around eighth street. so just take your time. that's pretty much lesson to be learned here today. out in trenton do have emergency road work on route 31 southbound before inning he will side avenue. lane shift there until about 6:00 a.m. so for about another hour they will be doing emergency pothole reconstruction, and over on 322 east and westbound, between 95 and the toll plaza 35-mile per hour speed restrictions, there as well, due to icy conditions. ukee, back to you. >> just in time for the the

morning commute lincoln drive has reopened to traffic. over night, a backed up drain and below freezing temperatures turned part of the road into a sheet of ice. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo at the scene right now in east falls to bring you to up date. jan? >> reporter: ukee, good morning. that's right lincoln drive here in east falls reopened right around 4:00 this morning. police had said they wanted to get this road reopened before the morning rush. they had certainly done that. city salt trucks were out here putting down yet another layer of salt in hopes this finally fix this icing problem here in the area. take a look at this video to get a bert look at the conditions a short time ago a lot of water and a lot of ice. those conditions at this location had been problematic since yesterday. road crews had to close lincoln drive last evening because of ice police say the sewer couldn't take the run trough yesterday's snow and rain, so water back up on to the road. lincoln drive did reopen for short period last night but closed again after ice once again formed. with the temperatures, so cold

this morning any water still standing caused this problem. so penndot has about 50 trucks out right now salting and responding to any left over icy areas. and here in philadelphia, the city has more than two dozen trucks out as well. for crews and drivers i've spoke win here this morning, tell me streets in philadelphia are looking pretty good. take a listen. >> you know, actually, the roads are pretty good. couple side streets icy, but the main roads pretty clear. no ice. i haven't seen any. i haven't felt any. feels good. >> of course, ice varies from spot to spot. yesterday on sproles road radnor township a man was killed when wind and ice pulled a tree down on his car and then caused a head-on crash. so ice this morning will depend on your location. with temperatures this low we always want to say just be on the look-out for any slick spots. reporting live in east falls this morning, jan carabeo cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jan we'll get back to you shortly, thank you. well, happening today

organizers are rallying in bridgeton over a fatal police shooting. two officers shot and killed jerome reid december 3rd. this is dash cam video. shooting is under investigation, but there are calls for the state to take it over. the national awareness alliance is holding a justice for jerome rally at south and henry streets then marching to city hall. former pennsylvania treasurer, rob mccord faces to up 40 years in prison now that he plans to plead guilty to extortion charges. mccord was accused of using his office to threaten potential donors during his failed campaign for governor last year. mccord resigned last week, and signed a plea agreement with prosecutors. he'll be arraigned in harrisburg in two weeks. well the measles outbreak continues to grow with more confirmed cases all across the country. >> now governor christie is stepping in to the heated debate over vaccinating children. >> not every vaccine is created equal. not every disease type creates a public health threat as others. >> now the governor is

explosion rocks this mall in australia. you can see part of the wall there, charred, after the blast. investigators say a power transformer may have exploded near some workers. the victims are being treated for burns and smoke inhalation. erika? >> ukee, right now boston's trying to dig out from record breaking snowfall. the city just got slammed with another foot of snow, look at all of that. now, the last seven days, mother nature has dumped more than 34 inches on boston, setting a new record for the city oh, my goodness. now, there is so much snow, the city postponed the new england patriots parade from today until tomorrow. >> and as you saw right there it is tough to get around in the snow, and an atv. you just ask those guys. they spun out on snow covered road outside of boston and slammed into that parked suv. both men quickly hopped back up and sped off. leaving behind some damage to that suv's bumper berks they got them on tape. i'm sure they'll finds those giles. but katie such stark difference than what they're seeing and what we're seeing

today. >> it is so true, you know, when you compare it even just to last winter, out to this point, how much we actually had on the grounds versus what we ended up with thus far in terms of snowfall, huge difference. we did get off pretty easily here for at least the first thirds of the winter. we can take you back in time here, take a look, last season to up this point yep, 37 and change inches of snow had already fallen for philadelphia. now through today the average would be about ten and a half. but so far this season, we're under, we're below average right now just five and change here. so not too bad thus far. although the snow lovers, the skiers, the plow truck drivers, i know you're wishing for the snow. we have few more opportunities for it here, now, storm scan3 shows thankfully the retreat of the same store that brought all of the snow that we just saw in boston and for us, we ended up obviously with more of mixed bag. same system. now out of here. meanwhile in its wake, the winds really kicked in. up until 10:00 a.m., still going have windchill advisories posted through the

pocono region specifically. this is dangerous when talking windchill values. that far below zero, be ready for t meanwhile actual air temperatures aren't much better at 20 degrees at the airport, six in mount pocono, and it does feel a lot colder when do you have factor in that breeze. and it is only going to be blowing as high as say 15 miles per hour here today but enough it will make it feel that much colder. now, tomorrow coy see quick snow shower through the northern tier of the area, generally though just clouds, sun, for most of us, but by thursday we've got better shot for more widespread snow. although, very light snow. i don't think you would be talking more than coating to inch or two jess. >> good thing definitely for the morning commuters afternoon commuters, as well, thanks, good morning, 5:14. going out checking out the schuylkill expressway, where it is looking just fine around girard avenue westbound are headlights headed towards the king of prussia area. no problems as well on the eastbound side headed toward the center city area. over on 202 right around the schuylkill, you can see the same story here, southbound, northbound, no problems there, as well. but we do have a little bit

every icy conditions, and reports of slippery roadways all over the place really. commodore barry bridge for one, restricted speed thereof about 35 miles per hour, and report of icy conditions on the vine street expressway, right around eighth street. so just take your time and give yourself little bit of extra time when headed out the door. 322 east and westbound between 95 and the toll plaza also having a reduced speed of about 35 miles an hour due to report of slippery conditions there as well. out just above trenton route 31 southbound, dealing with some emergency construction, before engleside avenue with lane shift therefore another 45 minutes until about 6:00 a.m. for emergency pothole reconstruction, erika back to you. >> thank you jess a updating breaking news this morning one man's in critical condition after a shooting near 66 and paschall street in southwest philadelphia. police say that the man drove to a police station and officers returned him to the hospital. >> drivers shut be prepared for icy conditions like the ones that close the lincoln drive earlier today. road is open again now. salt trucks and crews have a lot of work to do after

accumulation jess? >> thanks, good morning, everybody, 5:23, having pretty easy start to our morning with some slippery road conditions and different spots, we go over those for in you just a s but first, we start things off out on 95, right around the airport, you can see everything moving along fine, no of the or south, currently no problems, and everyone just really getting where they got to go. over on the blue route right around ridge pike, everything moving along great, there as well. see roadways looking particularly dry. northbound lanes here, southbound currently no problems as well. we do have an accident that just popped up in lower moore lands, byberry and huntington pike. southwest philadelphia there is police activity closing woodland avenue at 65th street, you want to take greenway avenue, or paschall avenue to get on by that scene for the time being. elsewhere, out in trenton, new jersey route 31 southbound, right before engleside avenue, there is a lane shift until 6:00 a.m. so about another half hour or so due to emergency pothole reconstruction. but, the good news is mass transit is all running on time with no delays.
