get gipped of accumulation but might see a few flakes before the morning drive is all said and done. here's where we stan temperature wise near or at or below freeze ago cross northwestern tear but we are a few degrees above freezing in philadelphia and all points south. that does again work against you if you are trying to see snow accumulation but don't get too used to these temperatures above freezing because they will continue to, decline, as the day progresses. so we expect to not only those dropping temperatures but also to see some whipped really to begin to kick in here. that is going to end up being the more noticeable feature with this frontal boundary but for here and now as you have been saying vittoria, it is not something you can shrug off because there will be snow to avoid. >> for sure. just taking it even more easy out there as we say. still we're waiting in the wings of rush hour. this is a prime time for people to under estimate even some black ice on the roadway that they may not see because they don't necessarily see

snow on the ground. just take it easy. the as we jump outside to the schuylkill expressway it is a breeze n delays on the majors at all. we are waiting for that rush hour to flood in but schuylkill expressway is fantastic and it doesn't matter if you are traveling around spring garden, center city, south philadelphia, maybe in the complete opposite direction throughout your western suburbs. it is excellent. also moving on to 476 around mid county toll plaza heading to and from this stretch even the schuylkill and i-95, it is great, pennsylvania pennsylvania turnpike, good news there, northeast extension, good news there as well. however moving our way into new jersey we have a construction zone on route 168 between nicholson road and collins have avenue. one to two lanes will be block until 6:00 a.m. be careful for that. in delays with mass transit. erika. some morning commuters are also tracking snow mostly to the north as katie said where thermometer is at or below freezing. she saw a few flakes earlier, jan, whether are you seeing now. >> reporter: erika, good morning. still snowing ever so slightly here in will allentown this morning. we are coming to you live from downtown allentown where you you can see a picturesque snow right the now. not accumulating on the ground. we have a wet surface here. we are hovering right around freezing mark so maybe expect slippery spots out here in the allentown area this morning but as we are's driving around we are not finding a problem at all. we have seen the the trucks out salting and brining so these road are well treated and that is probably why we are not having any problems. you can see a dusting on your car. you can probably just blow it off or use wipe tours get the snow off. not too much problem as far as getting to your car, getting out on the roads but keep in mind as always with the temperatures this low thaw might run into some slick spots. but for now we are reporting live from the mobile weather lab, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". also in the news a walk in

the park turns deadly in delair county after police say a rob robber came face-to-face with the victim who refuse todd back down without a fight. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is at the the upper darby police department to tell you more, justin. >> reporter: fearing for his life upper darby police say victim here a 67 year-old man pulled out the his own gun and opened fire on his would be robber striking and killing him and soon this morning we could learn if he could face any charges in this case. this all happened at 2:30 yesterday on wednesday that victim was walking in cobbs creek park when he a was a approached by an arm mask man who was demanding his valuables. the robber pulled out his gun which we learn later turnout to be a fake gun and victim pulls you the his even gun very real gun a 38 caliber and he pulled it out, he shot and killed his attacker. a shot to the head we're told killed that man on the scene. we new know he is a teenager about 18 years old.

upper darby authorities say there will be no criminal charges against a man who shot a would be rob tore death yesterday. up investigators say a man confronted a 67 year-old man in cobbs creek park, after a struggle victim pulled his licensed handgun and shot the the robber in the head. also national transportation safety board teams in suburban new york wants to know if the mercedes suv hit by a train tuesday night had a data a recorder. investigators are examining the track and interviewing witnesses. the driver of the suv and five people on that train were killed. police in fredrick maryland are searching for two gunman who opened fire outside a high school basketball game. two student were hit and they are expect to be okay. three on your side this morning with news that one of the of the largest health insurers in the u.s. is latest victim of hackers. anthem says the the fbi is investigating this breach. they say hackers accessed names, birth dates social security numbers, and incomes for present and former

everyone will see something but those who do could have a slick commute out there so please be careful. we have coverage of it for you jan carabao is in allentown where snow has started to fall already but first lets get to meteorologist katie fehlinger. good morning. >> at this point it is just a light snow where we will talk to jan in a second northwestern half of the delaware valley a and we have just showed you we will take you back out to it and show you what is going on with it. notice tail end through maryland and west virginia things fizzling out somewhat. we do think that we will fine a few flurries or straight up snow showers through southern tear of the delaware valley. looking for accumulation you'll have to go far north into again lehigh valley berks county, lancaster county and pocono region where we expect to end up with a coat to go an inch. up in the poconos as much as 2 inches. you might get totally gipped through first state of delaware and southern new jersey
