. across the the nation there have been at least 150 measles cases in 14 states and many are linked to the disney out break. >> it is a little bit disturbing that people have decided this to the vaccinate their children or themselves and that these diseases air loud to spread in the community. >> reporter: near chicago five babies at a kindercare learning center has measles ten more exposed. babies usually are not vaccinated until they are a year-old so they are vulnerable kindercare has announced it will require vaccinations for all staff members, nationwide, who work with babies less than 15 months old. >> i feel sorry for parents with their kid right now. >> reporter: is there a measles case in ohio where parents are urged to make sure that they are children have been vaccinated. >> i just think it is important to have all of the vaccinations. i'm trying to keep our kid safe at all cost. >> reporter: new jersey baby has recovered, the health department tells me out of been abundance of caution resident in the building with are this baby lived were

officials don't believe anyone is in danger but people are disturb by what they have seen. some orthodox jews are upset after becoming aware of anti sematic twitter post about lakewood n1 a teenage girl posted a picture in nazi outfit. another post about bombing jews at a water ice stand and there is tweeting from separate account saying things about running over or blowing up jewness lakewood. >> it is frightening it is scary, and never once in the neighborhood where your next-door neighbors are writing post about driving around, lakewood and killing people. >> reporter: ocean county sheriff office looked in the tweets in mid-july and said there is in threat of harm and left discipline of any minors involve to parents and the school district. jackson school district confirmed receiving a report about one of their students but won't comment on any disciplinary actions. >> it was very disturbing but i didn't view it as a threat. >> reporter: lakewood mayor albert ackerman said even though his town has high percentage of jewish residents threats are rare and he cannot

another vehicle will when officers tried to pull over a car in the 4700 block of large street. "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is live at temple university hospital where those officers were taken, steve. >> reporter: jessica, those officers transported near good condition, treated for minor injuries in, a crash that really worried police but ended up appearing a whole lot worse then it was. >> it happened really quick that is what we have, two police officers went to temple hospital and they are in good condition. they are in stable condition. >> reporter: good news from a chaotic scene, civilian and two police officers hurt in this wreck in the 4700 block of large street. the here's what police say happened. friday around noon time two officers in this vehicle will were attempting to make a traffic stop when they struck this white sedan. that car then traveled a short distance and created a crash you see on the screen. third vehicle originally being persued was eventually pulled over. the occupant were questioned,

investigated, and then released. those two officers and one civilian all transported to local hospitals and treated for minor injuries. captain johnnies labeling it an unfortunate accident. >> there was no pursuit with the the police trying to do their job out here making a car stop and sometimes this is the result of it unfortunately. >> reporter: no word on what the original traffic violation was but philadelphia police are telling me that no criminal charges will be resulting from the crash. reporting live from temple university hospital, i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right steve, thanks very much. well chilly breezy out there today but we're in store for a winter warm up. temperatures that are fairly told with a little bit of a a wind but as you mentioned it will be changing soon. look at these morning lows, in philadelphia we were bottoming out in the teens but look at poconos zero. reading six. trenton 11. the at atlantic city 12. wilmington 12. fill at low is 14 degrees. we have come a long way throughout the afternoon and philadelphia, it three is one. same in atlantic city. thirty-two in wilmington but only 17 in the poconos. it feels colder. wind right now about ten to 15 miles an hour making it feel like the the 20's for most of the region. allentown 16. poconos just six. throughout the evening hours if you are stepping outside tonight temperatures will slowly fall through the the 20's, but look at those wind chills, 22 at 7:00 p.m. by 9:00, 21. by 11:00 looking at feels like temperature of 19. the the good news is we will be on the rise. cloud will be moving in as we will stick around for a while

but how about a temperature surge to 50. yeah 50 degrees. the plus our next storm brings rain. it looks like on monday and it could end up as snow. we will talk about that later in the broadcast when i join you inside but think warm thoughts. >> we will be doing that, kathy, thank you. right now philadelphia police are on a manhunt after a deadly shooting overnight. police found more than a dozen shell casings on the the 1400 block of south paxson street in king sessing. they say that the 51 year-old male victim was shot multiple times and robbery could have been the motive here. police are looking for two men seen running from the scene. police in hamilton township, new jersey want residents to be aware of the burglary suspect shown in this sketch. they say the suspect posts as a a utility work tore distract residents. a second suspect enters the residents, steals items while the first suspect occupies the victim. if you recognize this person call police. this ambulance now out of services after catching fire overnight in olde city.

medic unit was returning from jefferson hospital when the unit caught fire there was not a patient. the paramedics were not the hurt. there are major new developments in the sex scandal at the philadelphia fire department, a story first report by the cbs-3 iteam. there is word that the woman at the center of the investigation may, in fact be discipline. "eyewitness news" investigative reporter walt hunter is in northern liberties with new information he learned today, walt. >> reporter: well, chris, for the first time since we revealed the existence of this investigation, more than a week ago, fire union officials are talking about the extent of the din mini action, against fire department mens and those union officials are openly criticizing the department for how it is handling the investigation. >> seven of our mens have been accused of disciplinary violations, based on the inspector general's. >> reporter: report fire union president joe shuly revealed

welcome back. in chester county tonight a teacher is under arrest and accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live in west chester with the details now todd. >> reporter: hey chris, knit that teacher has been charged when endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. police hearsay that the teacher had sex with the student six years ago but she only came forward last month and now today that teacher has been suspended with the intent to dismiss. coatsville high school english teacher mark, served the 17 year-old alcohol in his east goshen home on three- cases and then had sex. no one answered the door at his home friday afternoon, police say that the the 35 year-old also had sex with the girl at his parent's home, in west brandywine township.

sunsetting, and we're looking a head to milder days. our live neighborhood network shows us the temperatures for today the dover air force base we are getting to 36 degrees. below average. we will take it. atlantic city airport in pamona 35. valley forge at the middle school 33. in williamstown at oak knoll elementary school 32 degrees. normal high this time of the year are in the lower 40's. this is a bit below average. we are looking at, though some clouds, rolling through, temperatures will actually, steady or slowly rising overnight, and then that will set the stage for a milder day tomorrow. right now in the city we have 31. thirty-one millville. thirty-two in wilmington. seventeen in the poconos. our weather will be coming from the south, that is the good news so tomorrow, we will get in the 40's, and then, by sunday, we will touch 50 degrees, in many locations. we will be watching this front, slowly sagging to the south and it won't dominate our weather though. high pressure will bring us a southeasterly wind partly cloudy sky. so not a good sunny day but temperatures will be

comfortable in the 40's and then we will watch our next storm system ride along that front. right now, it looks as though, booth the time this front and this low makes tonight to the delaware valley its really won't be until sunday night into monday. so right the now sunday looks like a dry day and then a mild day because we're south of that front. then by monday we will see the low. it looks like it will track over philadelphia. that would mean the snow line to the north in new york and new england. we will see light rain in philadelphia temperatures in the 40's. as the system moving away, possibly ending as light snow but it would be very minor in philadelphia that is the way it looks right now. significant snow up through new york. moderate snow along the new york border with pennsylvania, new jersey. then light snow throughout allah even town and philadelphia a coding, to an inch to the north, and that would be just about it. so, right now it is looking dire for snow in philadelphia overnight the low temperature 24 degrees. during the day tomorrow 44. temperatures surging with a mix of clouds and sun and southeasterly wind.

another big blast of cold, late next week. i will have details with the seven day coming up, jessica. >> thank you. now 59:30 new reaction to charges against two philadelphia police officers after a confrontation that left a philadelphia man battered and bruised. cbs-3 first broke this story on "eyewitness news" and reporter math rivers is live at police headquarters with what we have learned today math math. >> reporter: jessica, one day after those police officers were charged in for their role in this particular assault city officials and law enforcement officials doubled down on a message of zero tolerance. >> dozens were promoted friday as new detectives, suggests, lieutenants, man in charge of them all commissioner charles ramsey, urged them to both enforce and follow the law. >> hopefully it is a message to anyone else who thinks they can abuse peoples right and getaway witt. >> reporter: he brought up the beating of njjee riveria who was allegedly assaulted by these two police officers,

kevin robinson and shawn mcknight night, events capture by surveillance camera. it remains difficult to watch. you are able to see the the two officers attack the victim after he failed to pull over during a traffic stop. they throw throw him against the the wall and beat him for a while. >> hear audio and hear him go down in pain screaming and then police come over and start beating him. >> reporter: district attorney seth williams brought charges against the officer and spoke to cbs-3 this morning to explain why. >> to be sure that philadelphians recognize we have a same standard for everyone, rich or poor, blacks or white. >> reporter: back in the graduation commissioner ramsey expressed gratitude and admiration for a fine group of officers. he said actions of officer robinson and mcknight night were isolated. >> as long as it taints the entire department but it is not a reflection of the entire department. >> the district attorney did confirm to "eyewitness news"

that his office will be reexamining cases, that these two police officers were involved in. we're live outside of police headquarters, matt rivers cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> matt, thanks very much. there is some breaking news just into "eyewitness news" tonight, chopper three is live over a nasty crash in monroe township, new jersey. we're told that three vehicles are involved here, and it happened a short time ago at west mallaga road and carriage drive. there is one of the three cars, that you see, in your picture in monroe township. no word yet on any yours, but we will keep you posted on the situation right there. well investigators have released new information about that deadly plane crash in taiwan. they now say that both engines on this trans asia flight lost power, just before the plane clipped a bridge, and then crashed into a river on wednesday. investigators believe that the the pilots may have shut off away one of the engines after the the first failed. divers pulled four additional bodies out of the water and that brings the death toll now to 35, 15 people did manage to

survive, eight others remained missing. an outrageous lesson on stranger danger in in missouri. police say a six year-old boy was lured, terrorized for hours, and in an attempt to prove a point. the boy's mother, grandmother and aunt, were all charged for orchestrating this plot. police say that the stranger in this hoax was the aunt's co work shore waited for the child after school, and then lured him into his pickup truck. >> boy start in immediately crying when told he will never see his mother again. he will never see his house. the and then when he doesn't stop crying he shows him a gun. >> authorities say that little boy was blindfolded and driven to a home where his aunt allegedly continued this terror. all four adults were charged with kidnapping and the boy's mother was also charged with child neglect. >> unbelievable. well, biggest names in broadcast news is fighting for his reputation. >> nbc knightley news anchor brian williams says he changed the facts of an iraq war story
