the crime that he waited until that she was dead, and then called police and when officers arrived, he was seen performing cpr on her body. carly hall's cause of death was strangulation and multiple traumatic injuries. the 18 year-old was found dead early sunday morning inside her second floor dorm room at millersville university. >> it is so sad i cannot stop thinking bit. i lived in barn hall my freshman year so i just can't imagine, anything so close to home i cannot stop thinking about the victim's family. >> reporter: authorities alleged that chad forward teenager's boyfriend greg ohio, of kenneth square had blood on his face and cut on his forehead when police arrived at barn hall. he told police he had been fighting, he backhanded her and shoved her and when she fell she went in cardiac arrest and that is why he called police at 5:00 in the morning. >> cpr i believe was completely fake and that she had been dead for hours,

probably before that. >> reporter: lancaster county district attorney says fellow student heard what sounded like sounds of a struggle coming from hall's room as early as 2:00 in the morning and then alerted a resident assistant. then that ra income on the door and heard nothing and did not call police. >> you just can't go into somebody's room unless there is cause to do it. i don't want to be taken out of this press conference today that anybody is responsible for her death other than defendant charged. >> carly hall was a freshman. her twin sister kristin both graduated from unionville high school. grief counselor are being made available. the 19 year-old boyfriend is lock up without bail and facing homicide charges. he was not a student here. the in the meantime there is a 7:00 o'clock vigil planned this evening on campus. reporting live from millersville university, todd quinones cbs-3 "eyewitness

news". todd, thank you very much. lets go to medford new jersey where police are investigating this violent crash, two vehicle accident that happened on route 70 near jones road there. the it is not known if anyone was seriously injured in that crash. we do know one person was hurt in this crash in maple shade, burlington county. we are told these two cars crashed and then a third hit one of the drivers who had been standing in the road exchanging information. that person is expected to be okay, it is not yet known if that crash was related to the weather. police are investigating a burglary spree on the main line. three homes within walking distance from each other were hit and worst part investigators say the residents were fast asleep unaware there was a stranger or strangers inside of their house. into my house? radnor police say overnight in this garrett hill neighborhood three times burglars struck while people were sleeping upstairs. fortunately there were no confrontations and no injuries but police want these burglars caught as soon as possible. >> i mean it is terrifying. the this is radnor. thinks in thing on you expect in this type of neighborhood. >> reporter: neighbors and radnor police are on the alert after three homes like these within blocks of each other in the garrett hill section of the township were burglarized overnight. >> it is surprising actually because this neighborhood seems incredibly safe. >> reporter: police immediately increased patrols, concerned that the burglar or burglars who slipped in through first floor doors and windows taking easy to carry items like lap tops and purses, could have come face-to-face with residents who were sleeping upstairs. >> these guys could be pros, desperate, they could be addicted to drugs and we don't want to have you get hurt.

healthwatch today the nationwide measles out break continues with an additional 19 confirmed cases in the last week according to an update for the centers for disease control today. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here with more on our area and is what happening here. >> reporter: that is right. we first want to tell you there is a new suspect case of me unless lancaster county being investigate by pennsylvania health department, at this point, they are not releasing any other information. if confirmed it would be the second in pennsylvania, this year, the the only other confirmed cases in cumberland county not in our area now delaware and new jersey also each of one case. there have been 121 cases of measles in 17 stays so far this year according to new numbers from the cdc, mostly in people not vaccinated and linked to the disney out break from california but not all first confirmed case in new jersey is a one year-old from jersey city with no connection to the west coast out break.

he was too young to be vaccinated. >> i think what people don't fully appreciate is that children normal children without any issues of health from birth to one years old are not vaccinating because you don't vaccinate children until they are 12 months old. >> reporter: unidentified jersey city baby had has recovered. neighbors in the building where he lived have been notified of a possible exposure. while measles is highly contagious most people have been vaccinated and not at risk. big exception is babies, too young to vaccinate being most at risk. >> it is very concerning. if you have younger kid coming up and if they don't have the proper vaccinations they could be easily infect. >> we never thought to go out to the family but i'm not overly concerned. >> now health experts say that until recently it was unusual to see more than a hundred cases a year in the united states of measles. the last year there were 644 cases. the it is most commonly seen in winter and early spring brought in by foreign visitors or by u.s. residents who pick

the septa concourse area and notified another passenger that she had been attacked. she appears to have been beaten. she was rush to the nearby hospital and treated. investigators are combing through surveillance video to try to find out if there is any evidence captured on tape. sources say it appears this women went down into the station with another man, willingly into a secluded area near the track. she was not apparently a passenger waiting on a train and she appears to have been physically assaulted but there have been no evidence of a sexual assault at this point. again, this is all still under investigation. philadelphia police handling this investigation right now. we will stay on top of this and bring you latest details as we get more information. the reporting live from center city natasha brown, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". all right, kathy is joining us now. we have had a little bit of freezing rain, and just kind of, generally not the pretty outside. >> no, not at all and dangerous because it is so spotty and hit and miss. >> correct. >> you have to be careful we

and new we have the cold air in place invading. we will see things changing rapidly. we have the freezing rain it will be colder and changing over to snow. you can see right here light snow in the lehigh valley, also in reading a little icy mix in the northern and western suburbs in areas like south jersey even collinswood seeing a little sleet, even mixing in with freezing rain n limerick near royersford and 422, icy conditions. spotty, very light but it is icy, long 23. that is a problem as well. south jersey in the area of elisburg chapel avenue near collinswood near haddonfield, 295, even 70 going east. thirty-seven. thinks moving east to the south of maple shade we're seeing patchy icy conditions. this will be the rule through the evening. we could it more consistent for a couple hours before it gets cold enough for snow. right now in philadelphia 30. twenty-six in allentown. twenty-two in the poconos. we do have some milder air but this will hold off for a

weather lab tracking temperatures that are below freezing. we had icy conditions on the the sidewalks and cars earlier but here's the sidewalks right now. for the the most part we are looking good just some salt, across the region but what was a different story in radnor township as well as some cars were completely covered with ice, drivers had to chip away at the ice to clear their windshield ape car doors. some side roads were affect by the mix of ice especially road that weren't already treated. another icy hazard is the sidewalks and steps but nothing a little salt just can't fix. so again this evening still a concern for some freezing rain, cross the region when are driving or walking around so spotty freezing and watch out for untreated surfaces and sidewalks. you have to use extra caution heading out tonight and certainly throughout the overnight hours. back here with the cbs-3 mobil weather lab maybe a couple snow flakes falling right now and every now and then we will get light freezing drizzle.

>> we are looking at freezing drizzle in the city of philadelphia. as we speak on the sky deck we have a glaze of ice. usually i stand on a platform to rise me up, it too icy, can't do that tonight. we are talking about conditions that will be improving but not until the late morning hours of tomorrow. take a look at storm scan three. we have more consistent moisture moving your way. there will be a period have light snow through lehigh valley and we will be seeing icy conditions in philadelphia. do you see that pink to the north and west? that a is snow mixing with sleet along i-95 corridor and seeing patchy freezing drizzle right now. we are seeing patches of rain as we head toward baltimore and washington. right now temperatures below freezing every where with the exception of the wildwood but we will go well below freezing every where and that means precipitation will change over to snow. winter weather advisory continues for the entire region until 6:00 tomorrow morning. philadelphia south and east freezing rain, sleet this evening, change to go snow overnight and that means a light ice accumulation
