today it is thursday, february 12th, good morning, i'm's ukee washington. i'm erika von tiehl. here are stories we are following today. police in burlington county are looking for two suspects in the the home invasion. find out what the robbers did to him and what they took we are live with the latest. and a giant of journalism has died this morning we are remembering 60 minutes correspondent bob simon while following investigation in the car crash that claimed his life. but first we are in for a a very, very cold and possibly snowy valentines day weekend. temperatures where to drop right. >> and over course of the next couple of hours it will be warmers it will be a as far as how it feels. for next couple of minutes,

chair, beat you and rob you. fortunately the the victim here will survive, unfortunately police are still searching for the the suspect. police just released these sketches of the the suspect. this home invasion happened sunday just before 9:00 at chief road here in medford. these two men made their way in to the home through an unsecured door. they duct taped a 64 year-old man to the chair and hit him with a pipe or similar object. suspects got the away with these bikes, money and victim's car. bikes were ditched a short distance from the victim's home and a on top of everything else the suspects told the 64 year old if he went to police they would come back and kill him. >> it is an unusual area for two people to pick out. it is smaller homes. not really certain a at this point why they chose that

victim. >> reporter: now this suspect's vehicle is a silver cadillac dts 2010, with new jersey license plate j53-apr the the rick tim was treated at the hospital and has been since released. he is expect to survive but he was beaten at the the scene. if you have any information you're asked to call police. reporting live jan carabao, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". right now 4:35. there has been a death in the cbs news family. >> cbs news correspondent bob simon died in the car crash in new york. police say a town car in which simon was a passenger hit another car stop at a manhattan traffic light and then slammed into metal par years. he had injuries to his head and torso. since joining cbs news in 1967, simon covered some of the biggest event of the past half septemberry including the the vietnam war. >> vietnam is more isolate today then it was ten or 15 years ago. the international thely, the vietnamese were a lot more

philadelphia city council will take a final vote on paid sick days. public health and human services committee unanimously approve the measure earlier this month. it is up for a full vote today and expect to pass. mayor michael nutter is expect to sign the measure that requires companies with ten workers or more, one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours work for five taste per year. this morning the house foreign affairs committee will hole a hearing on president obama's proposal on a was are on isis. jim and debbie fine of bucks county say they are eyewitnesses of the the devastating effects of the militant they spent four years in iraq on a peace keeping mission with the mennonite central committee when they return home last august. the the couple says although a conversation about taking military action against isis is necessary, it should not be the primary focus. >> but we're not broadening that debate and asking what do we have to do to win in the political, in the diplomatic,

coventry mall. police were not able to catch the suspect. now exclusive to "eyewitness news" a pair of men posing as fedex drivers are on the loose this morning after terrifying a terrifying a mother at her bala cynwyd home. the masked suspects showed up at this woman's home on dartmouth road carrying packages yesterday morning. coday said door bell rang, and two men tried to force open her glass storm door. >> they tried to get inside my door. i was shaken up. i didn't expect. that i thought maybe i'm overreacting. just check to see if there is a fedex vehicle outside or anything like that. i could not see it on my street or even further down. >> coday called 911 and the men took off. fedex is cooperating with police. the cot says all fedex drivers are required on wear id badges. well, there were several winning ticket last night at the power ball if you bought your ticket while on vacation in north carolina, texas or
