with dramatic drop in temperatures over the next few days, makes you want to not go outside at all kate. >> i that's what i would advise. frankly the kind of colds that can be dangerous if you're not smart about it not careful about it. we know that that is a dream that so many every have you to hit the road, got to get out the door, get the kids to school, get yourselves to work. we get. that will that's where we come in. if you are able to just sit at home and hang out we would be telling jokes on the news. we start things off by getting you outside and showing you thousand looks outside. looks are awfully deceiving my friends. wait until the sun comes up. it will look lovely. here over center city all calm right now granted, you have got pretty persistent breeze, but that breeze isn't strong enough to cause too much shaking on this particular camera. next to storm scan, also, again very deceiving to look at barely got cloud in the sky right now as we put things little bit wider on the zoom, and put things into motion. you have got hands full of clouds here and, there but generally off to the south off to the north or out to sea. with the nice clear sky, temperatures have had a chance
5:01 am
to just plummet. look at the difference in the last 24 hours, you have dropped generally, 15 to even up to 25 and 30 degrees in some of the spots. so that's again 24-hour temperature departure but what it translates to on thermometer is as such. that's rough stuff. 11 degrees at both philadelphia international and in atlantic city, at three below zero on the thermometer with a northwest breeze at 18 miles per hour. so, it is feeling more like it is 20, 25, 26 degrees below zero. as you head up toward the poconos, that said, western chester, western montgomery, as well as upper bucks then all points north and west have windchill advisory in the poconos, windchill warning and that will stay in effect until at least the noon hour. as the day progresses, one good thing about today is that winds is going to be easing up for us, little bit, so while it is still brutally cold, at least it is not going to feel that much worse as the winds starts to, again go little easier on us, with time. vittoria, over to you. >> thank you, so much, katie.

5:09 am
stunt and just the fact that he thought he could get away with something like, that beyond belief to me. >> well, biddle has 24 hours to come up with $50,000 bail. it is still unclear where biddle has been the past several months. ukee erika? >> okay, nicole, thank you. an investigation is underway into the death of a toddler struck by a septa trolley. a number of teddy bears and other items mark a memorial at the corner of 51st and lancaster avenue in west philadelphia. eyewitnesses tell us the two year old broke away from an adult, right into the path of the large vehicle. rescuers were quick to respond. but it was too late. >> out of no where, two year old ran in front of the trolley and got ran over. his body was just lifeless inbetween them two wheels. >> authorities are checking surveillance cameras as part of their investigation. >> talk about frightening trip home from school. student survived going for a

>> traffic and weather together. those whipping winds are brutal. >> that is the word for it, absolutely yes. just such a cold day for us out there. in is really just the beginning, too. we will be stuck with a couple every days worth of some pretty vicious wind as well as very cold air. but there is actually one time period that will be the worse and it looks like it is generally sunday, into early monday morning. so about a 28-hour window or so is goings to -- going to expire before we start seeing temperatures like they actually get above zero. that will will again be from the time period i mentioned sunday morning through the day and night into monday morning. for now see the beginning of the next clipper on the way. for our area, nice and quiet. as far as satellite and radar goes but also next disturbance, looks awfully innocent right now, in fact it will be rolling through our area touching off nothing more than quick one to 3-inch salt of snow out of t we can handle the snow amount, rather, it is what we end up with behind it
5:15 am
that really becomes the bigger weather headline. current wind speeds pretty rough, 15, to 20, to 25 miles per hour, and straight up out of the northwest which means coming straight up out of canada colder location, it means it will be feeling no better than sub zero in a good portion of the area. windchill advisories have now since been extends today include or i should say expanded to include entire region. now through philadelphia all point south and east, delaware, southern jersey, all included here now for windchill advisories from 9:00 a.m. looking ahead to saturday, saturday p.m., when we see this next disturbance come, in i think generally looking at coating to inch, maybe locally to up three out of t not too much to shovel away rather it is the cold that's going to be the big story for us come sunday it, does last us right into president's day. vittoria? >> thank you so much katie. good morning everyone. traveling out and about on the roads, still pretty nice out there, 5:15, usually don't see rush hour until about an hour or so. we continue, jump outside
