>> we continue to follow breaking news from west philly, live look at huge fire that is burning at a building on south 52nd street. now, the fire has been burning for more than an hour now. no report of injuries right now, as firefighters battle the flames, and of course, the bitter cold that our region is going through right now. there is no word on how that fire started. still, very, very early in the investigation. our jan carabeo is on her way to the scene. we of course will check in with her as soon as she gets there. >> now firefighters not just battling flames, but also the cold. you want to bundle up. it is brutally cold out there. and the whipping winds are making it feel even cooler as we threaten a record low that

stood for more than 100 years. i mean it, shows just 3 degrees in center city, that's without the wind. >> unreal. >> insult to injury, bracing for snow tonight too. >> let's find out how much. here is katie. good morning. >> yes, so it does appear as though the snow will be coming after the evening rush, but it will be affecting us about this time tomorrow. even still so, we expect that you see couple of inches out of t more details on that down the road here through the show. we have to focus on what's happening with this cold. storm scan3 right now totally empty quiet but all do you have do is zoom out one time. there is at least the combination of some of the snow that will eventually move in. now it, looks awfully chest. again, we won't see the snowfall here until later on tonight. i would say no earlier than, you know, hour or two after the typical morning rush or evening rush here in philadelphia. meanwhile, as you can see philadelphia off in the distance, 1 degrees currently being reported at the observation site here at palmyra cove nature park, northwest breeze at 9 miles per hour, easily feels like below zero. that goes across the board so

still windchill advisories posted for general range every windchill values of ten to 20 below zero. and, i mean, you see these numbers, but until you feel what they feel like, it doesn't really register. so if you have been out at all this past week, know what it is when you look at the values, town do what you have been doing bundle up adequately especially up in the poconos oh, 32 below zero, it is just so, so brutal out that way. and in the meantime there is cold air will set the stage for that next winter storm to come in. later on tonight, into tomorrow morning. meantime we have sunshine around the board here today. but it is the is deceptive sunshine. worse of the winds will be easing up for us. still only expecting at best to hit the low 20's down the shore, probably not even break the teens across philadelphia, meanwhile with the breeze still out there it isn't going to feel any better than, say maybe at best lower teens here later today. so here is the storm system, look at the time stamp. 7:00 p.m. is the absolute earliest, you see the first flakes flying through delaware, and then it overtakes our region

road, stall road, accident pushed over into the shoulder, and currently no problems for the ben franklin bridge, but the commodore barry east and westbound sides due to high winds, they've speeds there reduced down to 35 miles per hour. no problems for new jersey transit, except for running on modified schedule for the holiday today. septa, no problems, patco high-speed line no problems, septa transit buses and trolleys running on modified weekday schedule. back to you. >> jess, thank you. in the news gas main rupture shatters windows in an apartment building. it happened around 1:30 this morning, on the 100 block of ben detective street. no injuries to report. officials say ten people were evacuated from a hands full of ants. but some were allowed to go back inside. units have been ventilated. for the over aoun, told those tenant are staying with other people. pgw still working on the gas main. >> all philadelphia archdioces elementary schools are closed today due to this dangerous cold gripping our region.

sunday is among the first emerging from outside his court territory in iraq and syria, seen as a trouble sign isis is expanding its operation. susan macinnis, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". we have some new developments this morning, in the copenhagen terror attacks. danish police have arrested two men on suspicion every helping the suspect. officers shot the accused gunman to death early sunday. danish authorities say the alleged gunman was 22, and had a backgrounds in gangs. police say he had a criminal record, as well, including violence, and weapons offenses. two men were killed and five police officers were wounded in the attacks. >> developing right now, a bank hack of historic proportions has been uncovered and up to $1 billion may now be in the hands of thieves. a report on the heist is expected later today but here is what we already know. the hackers injected malware into more than 100 banks and 30 countries starting back in 2013, then used to steel money a little at a time.
