"eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live at einstein medical center where that victim is being treated to night. david? >> reporter: chris and jessica, i got update from police. 27-year-old went through some intense surgery today at einstein. police will be talking to him as soon as possible to get information. meanwhile neighbors are very much on edge tonight. >> i was shocked. shocked. this never happened around here before never. 50 years i've been in business. never came across something like this report roar barry got a call at 3:30 in the morning two men were stabbed just feet from his clothing store on stenton

avenue in east mt. airy. he says he panicked when he got the phone call. >> iran here got dressed right away and came up report roar police say an argument behind the doors of che bar and grill spilled out on to the street just after 2:00 o'clock in the morning. someone stabbed 29 year old duvon picket and his 27-year-old friend mull pell times. picket is dead. the other man is in the hospital hospital. wednesday afternoon rapper nicky minaj said they were both members of her road crew. she wrote "two members of my team were stabbed last night in philly. one was killed. they had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour ". she also posted this picture on instagram of picket and the 27-year-old she called eric. >> someone out there has some information if they tell the police that information is confidential and it can help us with this investigation. >> reporter: detectives are counting on surveillance cameras like this to help them crack the case. barry says the community needs

desk trying to figure out who this person was. >> reporter: great tool for them. that grainy photo of the man by the red truck. facebook users sent police tips and that suspect was arrested and facebook page is getting up to 2,000 followers a week and they say these are just people that want to be a part of this and they want to help. >> listen if they can solve crime in 20 minutes it's worthwhile. >> that's right. >> breaking news right now. chopper three live over bristol township, bucks county where you can see there's a pretty sizeable water main break tonight. crews are on the scene at center and lawn ton avenues. the cold weather has led to lot of troubles like this all across the region. meteorologist kathy orr is out on the cbs3 sky deck where the temperatures are quickly falling tonight. kathy? they are. the winds of change moving in with an arctic front, chris. on storm scan3 we watched as a squall of snow moved through and now the wind behind it is going to bring the brutal cold. you can see the snow moving through atlantic county and cape may counties right now heading down the shore that's the last of the snow.

here on cbs3. new at 11:00 o'clock night it has been one year since hit-and-run killed a biker at 67th -- 62 and and kingsessing in southwest philadelphia. ton night the family and friends of niamiah gathered for vigil. the 32-year-old was trying to make a repair to his bike when he was hit by a black jeep cherokee. it was caught on surveillance video but still no arrest. >> tragedy happened and we as family it's hard but we're a strong family and we get up and we just keep on going by faith that we keep on going and we believe that god is just going to you know, give us closure. >> the family is hoping that whoever is responsible will step forward. new details tonight about bruce jenner's involve in many deadly car crash could lead to manslaughter charges. investigators are look nothing new video that reportedly shows that jenner rear ended two cars and pushed one into oncoming

traffic in malibu california february 7th much this is all according to a law enforcement official who spoke with the associated press. a woman in one of the cars was killed when it was struck head on by a hummer. officials are investigating whether the drivers were distracted but the video appears to show jenner was not using his phone. a suspected case of measles is causing concern tonight in and around the campus of princeton university. tests are now underway to determine if a princeton student recently had measles. the student -- the school says the student has since recovered is and no longer contagious. the university is contacting those who may have been in the same area as that student. developing news tonight emotions run high at the city school reform economic meeting as they decide the fate of dozens of proposed charter schools. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones was there as the debate led to four arrests.

>> reporter: it was far from a silent protest after the first charter school was approved. the here was intense and steady in keeping score the anti charter school crowd had more reasons to celebrate. as only these five of the 39 charter school applications were approved wednesday night. and there was parental support also for charters. >> four years my son has tended gla he received an extraordinary education. >> financially strapped school district facing a projected $80 million budget shortfall next fiscal year. yet it found itself having to consider allowing new charter schools part of the deal with the state legislation to get the $2 per pack cigarette tax passed passed. but critics contend it's a poison pill of sorts. that could lead to the reckless expansion of charter schools. >> tell them that you will approve charter schools only after they do a funding formula. >> for those denied the chance to open charter school they will get a second chance. >> i don't know that these actions tonight will stand up in

welcome back tonight we are waiting for the owner of an ice covered building in west philadelphia to call in demolition crews. the building at 52nd and locust has been deemed unsafe now by the department of licenses and inspections. of course fire broke out there monday morning and the water from the fire fight quickly turned to ice. this building once housed a doctor's office. l and i tells i "eyewitness

through ocean city atlantic city and then it will be moving out of our region. behind it some whipping winds and our "eyewitness weather" watchers are reporting in some strong winds and colder temperatures. especially to the west. we'll go to the north of phoenix phoenixville the temperature is 19 degrees. in royersford and relative humidity sitting at 55%. through delaware saw a quick hit of snow a short timeing a greg reporting in a temperature of 22 degrees breezy conditions. he says a burst of snow left a coating. temperatures falling and winds picking up and you can see that quick hit of snow on his car. now we're just talking about brutally cold temperatures. and wind chills come tomorrow morning and friday. right now in philadelphia it feels like 11. it feels like three below in the poconos but that's nothing compared to what is coming over the next couple of days. state college nine below. pittsburgh seven below. wind chills will fall below zero all the way down to atlanta and shall hot come tomorrow morning. so we are definitely not alone with this cold. by tomorrow afternoon in the

wake of this front the temperature only 19 but during the day wind chills right around zero for philadelphia at best. then the arctic blast really sinks in friday. morning lows challenging records and by the afternoon temperatures in the teens. but the wind chills friday will be dangerously cold to say the very least. in the pock notice friday morning it's cold. 35 below. it's cold as 25 below and this and concludes philadelphia and even delaware county and our northern and western suburbs as as 20 below in south jersey and delaware. even the shore and delaware beaches as cold as 10 below come friday morning. then saturday, we see some warmth moving our way. we'll see a storm system to the north, a cold area of low pressure a warming system moving up from the south. some snow saturday night changing over to rain sunday as this southern low takes over. overnight, the snow showers will be ending you'll be windy, lows in the teens. highs tomorrow only in the teens with wind chills below zero in
