breaking news right now. police take a look at your screen. the search for this toddler from delaware is growing after police issue an amber alert. >> eyewitness news reporterer joins us now in newcastle county police head quartsers with details on this serve. jan, good morning. >> erika ukee, good morning there's amber alert in three states delaware, new jersey and ohio naming the suspect as armed and dangerous. police say he took his 3-year-old little girl last evening when went top exgirlfriend's house and assaulted her. again, take a look at these pictures. police need your help in locating this 3-year-old little girl. newcastle county police and new jersey state police both issued amber alerts in this case. ohio issued one this morning. last night just before 7:00, police say this 43-year-old michael trotta went to his exgirlfriend's home in the school side apartments east basin road. police say trotta assaulted the woman and fled with their daughter 3-year-old elinor trotta. at first the police thought the

is suspect fled in gray mazda. that was found this morning in apartment complex parking lot. police say trotta could be traveling with an unknown woman in a gray ford mustang or an older model red ford explorer. trotta is 5' 8" 160 pounds last seen wearing black clothes and elinor was seen wearing purple puffy coat, pink pants, frozen sneakers the movie frozen and the suspect may have fled to knowledge new jersey on the way to new york city. amber alerts in delaware, until nming and ohio this morning. anyone is information is asked to call 911 immediately. we're reporting live in newcastle. jan carbeo eyewitness news. >> a tanker fire burping thousands of gal opens of fuel is cow causing a detour for commuteers in south jersey. the tanker over turned and exploded yesterday on the ramp eastbound route 90 to route 130 in pensauken.

justin is near the scene to tell you more. justin, good morning. >> ukee, good morning in your travel route includes route 90 or 130 you may want to reroute. that's because an area remains closed of cleanup of the tanker site remains active this morning. traffic tie-ups will still be a problem this morning. >> fed by thousands of gallons of fuel flumes of heavy dark smoke and furnace like fire burping on highway. neighbors watched in hor horror. >> it was frightening this house was covered in black smoke. >> i didn't know if it was tox us. >> it was result of a tanker over turning as it made its way route 90 eastbound to route 130 north on ramp 11 monday morning. >> at off ram surprise notorious that's the no the first time. they turnover on that ramp all the time that curb is deadly.

>> minor injuries in the wreckch the driver was able to free himself. he and the firefighter were taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out. >> back at the wreck scene firefighters used form to quell the fire. stopping the flames before rolling down hills and into homes n all, neighbors of some 30 homes were owe evacuated and late area loued back in. >> when i first came into the house it was strong it smelled like strong oil smell. like tire smell. the rubber. but, i mean, it's starting to go away now. >> and back out live this morning the smell of oil and gas is still pretty faint out ear at this point. as you can see sigh reps are on the scene. the truck has been removed at this pointch the 200 gal opens of oil remained in the truck. remember there's 8,000. you can imagine this morning they're still watching air quality in this area of pensauken. i'm justin, cbs3, eyewitness

morning low. cold start in ac as well. 6 degrees. 10 at the airport you debt the idea. today progresses highs in the mid 20s. keeping in mind typical daytime high is 46. do you the math. you start shaking your head yet again. unfortunately it's an arctic chill that won't let up very much. but at least meterological spring is around the corner on sunday jess. >> i cannot even hear the word spring it makes my heart hurt on inside. every time i wake up in the morning it's freezing. >> it's so cold out outside. but we'll get through it we will. little after 5:05 and good news in the traffic department at least. we're virtually running low on volume here on 95 right around girard. you can see southbound, northbound, that's both lanes here looking just fine so far. really no problems on the roosevelt boulevard as well. you can see most of the volume starting to gather here if we call it volume southbound lanes headed to schuylkill expressway. northbound doing fine as well.

from the tanker fire earlier yesterday afternoon out in pep saucon new jersey we have closures here. route 90 eastbound route 130 on and off ramp closed you're diverted off. it would be in your best interest to take un dwron get around the cleanup the scene for the time being. on route 1 southbound delaware an accident at route 40. and in south philadelphia, on the schuylkill expressway eastbound due to a water main break the on ramps blocked penrose avenue. take broad or pack to get them by. on the it p turnpike expense northbound approaching 276. erika back to you. >> thank you. >> new this morning a two alarm fire destroys this home in swedesboro gloucester county it happened 11:30 along the 300 block of back creek road. when firefighters arrived flames where shooting through the roof. fire chief says they were slowed down by water supply issues.

>> no hydrants in the area and the closest is in harrison township. >> firefighters brought extra water into inflatable pools and doused flames. no one was hurt because the family that lives there is out of sgloun one person rushed to the hospital after he was stabbed at dave and busters on philadelphia's penn landing around 11:30 last night in restaurant's game room. it's up clear if police have suspect in custody. >> a man is shot in the back and killed in north philadelphia. now police are looking for the shooter. investigators areached for crews. the 34-year-old victim walked into a firehouse down the block for help and later died at the hospital. so far no arrests have been made. >> and crews will get back to work later today to demolish the west philadelphia building known as ice house. building at 52 and locust caught fire last week and became completely covered in ice as firefighters try to get control of the plame in subfreezing

temperatures. after the fire was out sovl deemed building unsafe and it had to be torn down. >> first dave winter weather we've seen is leaving behind a bad taste for them delaware county over aqua crum creek water treatment plan. some customers reports it taking be salty water. runoff made its way into the reservoir that feeds the plants. it should past in next 24 to 48 hours. there's no health risk posed to customers. new jersey governor chris christie is sgeering up for annual budget address this afternoon. it comes less than 24 hours after a judge ruled he must restore delayed payments to state pension plans. now those payments total almost $1.6 million. state workers union sued governor which he made the cuts. christie said reduction was only way for state to balance the

budget. his administration plans to over turn that ruling. emotions run high in trenton school board meeting last night teachers and other school employees asked the board to put a stop to proposed budget cuts that would eliminates up to 350 po sitionz throughout the district. in the upcoming school year the district is facing a 19 million short fall. >> we're here to voice our opinions and let them know that this is not right. and this is not right. these are media children we cannot do this to them. >> i know we all licensed tonight and we'll take back much of what you said to make these difficult decision. >> state will tell the district how much funding it will receive on 23 rdz of march. as we continue this morning a rescue that saved several lives comes to an end.

reopen in pep saucon energyth. it was closed after a tanker fire. black high school has not been ruled out. >> firefighters battled freezing temperatures and smoky flames in swedesboro overnight and had to fight this house fire from -- with water trucked in from nearby. there were no hydrants near the scene. fortunately we're told there were no injuries. developing now rescue teams pulled all 19 man tee from a drainage in my opinion florida. they used construction equipment to lift animals out one by one. they speculate the animals followed each other in search for fresher water and go stuck in process. >> 5:13 now a check in with katie and freezing temperatures are back, katie. >> they certainly r we don't have to track a major storm system in the next couple days. that's smling we have going for us. we have chill to contend with for the next couple days as well.

ebb and flow along the way. we get stuck in a chill and the week progresses. we'll show you to here in nice wide zoom. you can tell there's activity off to the south it stays south. that's good news. meanwhile a nice clear sky for you to go along with the morning. because of clear sky remember at night if you try to hang on to heat you need to have a blanket of cloud cover. this nice, clear sky is not hooking anybody ul up here. it allows for beautiful star lit skies and beautiful view of the moon. it sends heat in the atmosphere back up to it. it doesn't appear much of an easing up on thermometer reading even through the next couple weeks there will be a very gradual trend one time. and overall, it looks like we'll keep on getting a couple of these little bursts of cold and it will keep us below average. substantially so perhaps at least for next few weeks. so i know a lot of are you craving that real little warm air. it's not here yet. when it gets here it will feel
