el lucky to be alive. in of them were home at the time. heather taiter was home this morning. the just two doors down. >> within two minutes of that, the walls shook, all my pictures came off, blind came off the wall stuff came out of the cabinets and it was chaos from there. >> reporter: even employees at a dentist office a third of a mile away heard and felt the blast. >> all of a sudden that door opened and then shut and then there was a about big bang. >> reporter: jack johnson was one of the first responders and trying to locate the source of the leak when the explosion happened. >> i describe it, it happened so quickly the explosion we had debris all around us coming from no where. >> reporter: blast damage dozens of homes on oak avenue including one house where the windows were blown out n all 75 homes were evacuated but he says she was never alerted. >> i felt like we weren't really kept informed as much as we should have been, considering it was only three housees from where we were.

this is the lot where the home once stood. here is the shed that was destroyed next door. just an absolutely incredible scene today in new jersey. well, in this explosion, comes almost a year after a deadly gas explosion in ewing township, mercer county. linda cerritelli was killed on crocket lane back in march. fifty-five homes were damaged or destroyed that day the explosion was blamed on a damage gas main. a crazy crash in ardmore, take a look as this video of an suv on top of some parked cars our's contact von tiehl tells us just how it all happened. >> reporter: you cannot blame black ice or slick streets for this unusual crash at piazza acura have of ardmore. >> my assistant looked over and said there is something going on over there. i said i think is there a koran top of a car. >> reporter: it started as a driver was pulling out from the car wash behind the deal are ship. >> shortly after 9:00 a.m. a female driver of this car,

launch herself up off the snow bed and ended up on top of three vehicles. she was trapped inside. >> reporter: ardmore fire fighters were at the scene moment later, within 45 minutes they stabilized the vehicle, taken passenger door off and safely removed the driver. handicapped plates were found on the white jeep and a walker was within the car. now challenge becomes how to remove the jeep. >> we don't want to roll role that thing off and jeopardize the compromise the gas tank or anything like that on it. >> reporter: investigators will speak with the driver of the car to the hospital to figure out exactly how the crash happened. >> that white jeep has been carefully removed and now you can see damage left behind to the the other vehicles, that was including that black suv and a bit of bad luck that car was supposed to be driven out to the new owner, today now that the dealership is searching nearby for a replacement vehicle. in ardmore erika von tiehl, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". right now investigators are looking for the cause of this inferno in west

kensington. flames here shut down septa's market frankford line and fire fighters face sod really bitterly cold conditions fighting this fire this morning. we're going to get to "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter in just a moment but first we want to take to you new castle county where officials are holding a press conference on the the recovery of that missing girl, let's listen in. >> warrants remain on file stemming from the a assault on february 15th as well as warrant issued on monday which includes reckless endangering of the child, and the carjacking. michael will also be charged with endangering the welfare of child as he is awaiting extradition back to delaware. a as soon as possible, child's mother dawn will be flying to massachusetts with law enforcement officials to be reunited with her daughter. the assistance of the federal bureau of investigation, i cannot say that enough, they were a key component in bringing this little girl back home safely. the u.s. attorney's office, the attorney general's office,

her delaware home last night has been found safe. elinor trotta was found late this afternoon with her fat inner massachusetts. good evening, to you i'm jessica dean. i'm's chris may. law enforcement officials including fbi worked aggressively to find this little girl. her terrifying ordeal began last night after a report of the domestic assault in new castle delaware. she was found safe today in spencer, massachusetts and her father is now in custody. eye witt the necessary news reporter, steve paterson joins us live from new castle county police headquarters with more steve. police crediting relationship between local and federal law enforcement officers for this capture, in less than 24 hours, now a mother being reunited with her daughters. the it is the very best gift dawn barkus says that she will ever receive. >> today is my birthday and i prayed to god that i would get her back and she gave me the
