gas crews have been on the scene overnight working around the clock to get service restored to this neighborhood. they are still on the scene right now. down is there oak avenue where you see police lights. we are being kept far away from the scene but it was a 34 year-old gas line that caused this explosion. in an instant one stafford township community thrown into chaos as a home on oak avenue explodes before peoples eyes this video caught on a police officer a's dash cam emergency response happened in an instant. >> we have a large explosion, mass casualty unit firemen down. >> reporter: more than a dozen fire fighters, e ms and gas workers who had been on the scene were injured, two critically. an hour earlier new jersey natural gas crew where is called to the area have after arrest dents complained about a gas odor. several homes were evacuated. the explosion left nothing of the home at 59 oak avenue nearby homes were damage as well, and shock waves are

and three-year old girl reunited with her mother. three-year old elinor trotta was abduct on monday traveling miles away to spencer massachusetts. a gas explosion, rockean ocean county, new jersey neighborhood. >> blast destroys a home and injuries 15 people on the ground, good morning, "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao joins us from scene with the very latest on is what happening now, jan good morning. >> reporter: ukee and erika good morning. gas crews have remained on the scene here overnight working around the clock trying to get service restored to this area. we have reached out to the gas company a number of times this morning. we have yet to hear a the status report from them but at last check police down there who are blocking oak avenue have since left and switched out, so we hope that this means progress is being made. meantime the mayor of stafford township tells us that the explosion yesterday was caused by a 34 year-old main gas line. fifteen people were injured two critically in the explosion but all are expected to recover and that is amazing

when we look at this explosion. this same video was captured around 10:30 tuesday morning on the police officer's dash cam. you can see fireball and then all of the debris. just about an hour and a half earlier several homes in the area had been evacuated after resident complained about smelling gas. workers with the new jersey natural gas company responded to the scene to investigate and as soon as that explosion happened. home at 59 oak avenue was blown to bits, only thing left this morning was that block basement. fortunately the family was in the home but more than a toss entire fighters e ms and gas workers were injured. again, all are expected to recover. neighboring homes were damage as well and rest of the neighborhood felt the explosion and folks here are still shaken up bit. take a listen. >> it was terrible. i never heard anything so loud. i thought a tractor trailer hit this porch, that is how much the house shook. the the whole neighborhood was just shaken unbelievably.
