parts of the area the meteorologist kathy orr is live on the sky deck to tell us when the snow will start and where it will fall kathy. >> hard to believe, jessica, such a beautiful day with sunshine. we made it in the 30's but tonight another cold one and it is a southern storm that is going to bring us a little snow, come tomorrow morning and some spots though, a heavier a accumulation. take a look at storm scan three as we track it. the storm right now over deep south bringing snow to mississippi, alabama and georgia, atlanta getting in on some of the snow and this is moving toward the northeast. it will be moving off mid-atlantic coast and place that he is don't usually see snow like the carolinas, virginia, we will see bulk of it. we will be on the northern fringe and, that is why winter weather advisories in effect for south jersey and central and southern delaware for higher accumulations of snow through philadelphia, we will see a light accumulation. so it will be reaching a little bit further north and to the west. our future weather shows snow moving in overnight, from the

south, to the north, and it will hit the i-95 corridor during the morning rush and then retreat and move toward the north and the east as the storm pull as way. as far as timing between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. snow moving from the south, slow travel for that morning commute between 8:00 and noon, steady snow and then moving out clearing skies and it will be brisk. coming up we will look at those specific snow amounts for your neighborhood also talk about how far north the the snow will reach and a march thaw in the seven day. wow, won't that be nice, we will talk about that when i join you inside. >> kathy, thanks very much. we now know cause of that gas explosion that destroyed a house in stafford township, new jersey. a blast as you can see was caught on police dash camera. two gas workers remain hospitalized following that explosion on oak avenue tuesday morning. one is in critical condition the the other is in stable condition. charlotte huffman is back on the scene tonight with that new information, charlotte.

a canadian men says it took six hours to dig a tunnel through the snow to his car. the valentines day storm there dumped 3 feet of snow on prince edward island on top of snow that was already on the ground. the man was apparently bored so he dug to this 25-foot tunnel, all the way to his car. that is a lot of work. the it is unclear if he plans to dig out the car now that he has reached it. >> yikes. >> would i wait for the spring. extreme icing in the delaware bay brings the cape may lewis ferry to a halt the city variety ohio was taken last week before service was suspended for three days. today ferry suspended all operations until 6:00 p.m. because ice was blocking the steering mechanism. the last time the ferry was shut down, back in 1977. >> wow. >> that just seems to be the the story this year just this record cold. we have not seen as much of the snow but these temperatures are incredible.

school. all activities had to be canceled or moved, this afternoon the district tells us that the problem has been fix and that school will resume on a normal schedule come tomorrow. now lets go to philadelphia where there was a water main break around midnight in the 1600 block offaldine street. the water services had to be shut off to a couple of homes while crews work to repair that problem. finally in the rhawnhurst section of the city, water gushing in the street in the 2,000 block of glendale avenue earlier today. got news there was no disruption of service to any homes and no additional damage here. we're told crews are hoping these repairs were done sometime tonight. a horse rescue in burlington county, new jersey a man and woman were riding their horse along the trail when one of the horses walk into a muddy area and got stuck. rescue crew is a arrived and pulled that horse out but during the rescue officials say that the horse kick a worker in the head. the sent of the workers injuries are unknown.

i'm jessica dean. meteorologist kathy orr is live on the skies deck tracking the timing and where most snow is expect to fall, kathy. >> right new we are seeing cold air filter in the delaware valley. moisture will move in during the early morning hours and this will have a high impact on our morning commute. look at storm scan three you can see the storm through the deep south. a area have of low pressure will move off the coast. heavier snow will be in the carolinas but this storm is creeping northward, toward the delaware valley. so we will watch it move towards us overnight and then the the snow will be in and out in a number of hours, just after the lunch hour snow will be ending. winter weather advisory posted for south jersey and central and southern delaware for highest accumulating snow but not limited to those areas. between 5:00 and 8:00 a.m. snow moves from the south to the the north. slow travel. eight to noon the steady snow along philadelphia, and its suburbs. and then afternoon we will see the skies clear out but it will be, quite brisk. coming up we will talk about how much snow will accumulate impact on the
