ssica dean. meteorologist kathy orr is live on the skies deck tracking the timing and where most snow is expect to fall, kathy. >> right new we are seeing cold air filter in the delaware valley. moisture will move in during the early morning hours and this will have a high impact on our morning commute. look at storm scan three you can see the storm through the deep south. a area have of low pressure will move off the coast. heavier snow will be in the carolinas but this storm is creeping northward, toward the delaware valley. so we will watch it move towards us overnight and then the the snow will be in and out in a number of hours, just after the lunch hour snow will be ending. winter weather advisory posted for south jersey and central and southern delaware for highest accumulating snow but not limited to those areas. between 5:00 and 8:00 a.m. snow moves from the south to the the north. slow travel. eight to noon the steady snow along philadelphia, and its suburbs. and then afternoon we will see the skies clear out but it will be, quite brisk. coming up we will talk about how much snow will accumulate impact on the morning, and a

march thaw we could all look forward to. i will see you later in the broadcast with that information in the seven day. >> kathy, thanks very much. kathy will be here all night and then tomorrow morning our team will be tracking snow. join ukee, erika and katie for "eyewitness news" at 4:30 they will have the latest plus any delays, and school closings that might occur. developing now a man with ties in philadelphia is charged with trying to help the terror group isis. two other men are accused of being aspiring jihad is. matt rivers is live in the sat center with what we know tonight, matt. >> reporter: we know these three men are all from brooklyn and first drew the attention of law enforcement after expressing their support for isis on line last summer in an arrest affidavit which details how two of the three suspects in this case have a direct connection to philadelphia. we know their names are 24 year-old ab dual, 19 year-old and a 30 year-old, they were

all formal willly charged wednesday in federal court accused of providing material support to isis. they were as expiring jihad, trying to join isis in syria and if they could not make the trip officials a say they had other plans, they had planned to acquire weapons, hand guns machine guns and seek to attack police officers, as well as trying to kill president obama, again that all according to an arrest affidavit. two of these men were arrested in new york this morning, one of them at jfk airport, one in brooklyn. a a third man, was arrested in jacksonville, florida. that is where the philadelphia connection comes in. he had operated kiosks in malls a across the east coast including in chesapeake virginia savanna georgia , and here in philadelphia another one of those suspect worked for him in those cities including philadelphia, during the fall and winter, of last year. officials had talk about this lone wolf threat. we have heard them talk bit before. it would appear that this is the fruition of one of those

threats. now authorities did not reveal, which mall in philadelphia, housed the kiosks owned by them. we are working to try to figure that out. officials a they went on to say social media played an enormous role in this case allowing these suspects to get in contact with isis members. if convicted, these are serious charges, each defendant faces up to 15 years in prison. we're live from the sat center, math rivers, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> matt, thanks very much. "cbs evening news" with scott pelley will have more on this developing story coming up at 6:30 right here after "eyewitness news". well investigators now know the the cause of this gas explosion that blew a house to pieces in stafford township, new jersey. the blast was captured by police dash cam, camera early on tuesday morning. officials say now that the explosion was caused by a crack in a 2-inch gas main that runs under oak avenue. that gas then traveled into the basement of that home and then ignited thanks to an

opened flame in the utility room. an a engineer at drexel university tells "eyewitness news" that cold weather may have cause that had 34 year-old main to crack. >> dealing with the type of material that they were using to transport the gas from the street into the house, and the age, put those together and connect the the dots and i think you will find the cold weather caused some movement in the structure, put some stress on the pipe and the the leak occurred. >> two gas workers at the scene at the time of the blast remain in the hospital tonight, one is in critical condition, the the other is listed in stable condition. well, the story you saw first here on cbs-3 a three-year old new castle county girl is home safe with her mom after being abduct allegedly by her father. that toddler was reunited with her mother last night in massachusetts. the the two came home today. elinor trotta and her father were subject of the amber alert on monday after he

assaulted elinor's mother at her apartment and took the little girl. health were found safe tuesday less than 24 hours later. >> she's glad to be home and that is all she kept saying since i found her last night. since i was reunited with her she kept asking when are we going home when are you going home. >> little girl's father was arrested without incident and await extradition. new at 6:00 police are investigating a rash of robberies mostly at gunpoint on the drexel and pen campuses. has drexel and university of public safety warning students to be on a alert. >> sigh officers on the corner every day and that makes me feel better. >> i have walked girls home from campus or studying. >> reporter: surveillance video capture latest robbery over a week ago. three men followed a 20 year-old female drexel student in her apartment on the 3100 block of hamilton street. they held her up at gunpoint and madefoff with $200 her bag and cell phone. police are looking for these men at 6 feet tall in their 20's. >> i was surprised i guess, and it just made me more aware of walking around philadelphia, because i'm 25, and a lot of them are graduate students. i'm a graduate student here. >> reporter: robberies began first week of february and now student said three men hit them in the back of the head with the handgun taking his wallet and bike, that happened on the 3600 block of hamilton. similar descriptions have led

police to believe that the men may be responsible for another incident a day later a at forty-first and pine. a grad student was approached from behind and forced to empty her pockets at gunpoint just before midnight. later on penn's campus on south 38th street another woman was robbed with a knife. >> it is more scar toy walk around. >> reporter: while students say they are mindful it will not keep them from their daily routine. >> i try to have people with me most of the time. new jersey officials revealed the cause of death, through the the wife of cooper health systems president, and ceo john sheraton. the joyce cher done died from a stab wound to her chest. she and her husband were found unresponsive dire during a fire at their home in september. that fire was ruled arson. the the cause of her husband's death remains unknown. well, authorities take down a local drug ring with ties to columbia, more than 30 people are behind bars, and drugs were worth thousands of

we have a follow-up on a story we told you last night. dangers link to flu shots. we know vaccine save lives but if a shot isn't given the right way it can leave you with debilitating shoulder and arm pain.

>> health reporter stephanie stahl has a update to this story. >> we have heard from lots of people calling writing about our story on shoulder injuries following flu shots. this is very rare but most of the time flu shots are safe and effective and leave just a little soreness but there can be mistakes on how the shot is given. >> that is as far as i go. >> reporter: he has nerve damage in his shoulder. >> excruciating pain non-stop pounding, aching pain. >> reporter: debbie route owe needed surgery to fix scar tissue in her shoulder. they both say their flu shots caused serious shoulder injuries. >> it can be quite a significant problem. >> reporter: doctor robert duncan says it is not common but flu shots that are given too high in the arm can cause problems. >> it was actually given to me, right here, up here, yeah. >> reporter: shoulder injuries really just started to be recognized. >> reporter: philadelphia attorney paul brazil is talking about the national vaccine industry compensation program which pays people injured by certain

busy on this evening. we're receiving some snow borders and some skiers enjoying a wednesday night on the slopes. that storm scan three you can see snow moving our way. this storm originally was going to move more east ward and now computer models are moving it more toward north and ease. you can see that orientation shifting with the the snow through northern parts of the mississippi,al bam, and even georgia. they are loving it. twitter is lighting up with everyone making snow men and one man lounging outside in his shorts in the snow. so with 6 inches in huntsville just to the north of atlanta. all this moving toward mid-atlantic. we are on the northern fringe of the snow. allentown it is 29. thirty-five in philadelphia to the south you can see cold air through birmingham, atlanta, nashville, heading toward raleigh-durham. once again we will be seeing light snow with this. winter warnings and advisories from little rock all the way up into south jersey. so that is a huge stretch of real estate. this area of low pressure is a very fast moving system by
