we are watching a eye on the storm system moving in our area this morning threaning to make the commute kind of a tricky one, a a live look at storm scan three, katie had has latest updates in a bit. also an explosion of gun violence in philadelphia overnight, four people are shot at three different locations, police have just confirmed that three people are dead. and good morning thank you for joining us, "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao will update us in just a moment. but first lets check that system turning in our direction here's katie, good morning. if you go into southern delaware you can even up with

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao joins us from police headquarters to bring us up to date. good morning. >> reporter: erika and ukee good morning. violent night and early morning indeed. four people were shot the in three different locations and three of those people are now dead this morning. take a look at the video, most recent shooting is a double homicide that happened just after 2:00 a.m. two men shot on the 2700 block of atona street in grays ferry. one man was hot the in the he helped others shot in lotion, and both have now died. >> we know that there is two weapons involve, one that left the spent shell casings on the street and a second weapon is the one we have found on our 23 year-old victim shot in the

head. it is unknown local until we examine that revolver it is unknown whether or not that revolver was fired. >> reporter: now the first shooting was actually just after 11:30 last night the in the 200 block of west more land street in fair hill. police found a 34 year-old woman shot in the driver seat of the car, before that car stop police say it add had run into three other park cars on that block month. man was transportedded to temple where she was pronounced dead. police say 11 shots were fired at that scene, in sus is peck, description or motive but police found surveillance cameras in the area. just before 2:00, two men walk in the 12th district police headquarters in south philadelphia, one was shot in the head just a grace wound that victim tells police he was approached at sixth set and dire avenue and told to give up his car. he says he was shot when he tried to drive away. police say he is expected to survive. police do not believe that these shootings are related, however, the the investigation is continuing this morning.

four people shot the at three different locations, three now dead. reporting live jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks, jan. trial continues for eric torres, charged with shooting philadelphia police officer edward davies in the feltonville store in august 2013. police say they were trying to subdue an arm suspect, officer davies lost a kidney in the shooting. torres's attorney says it was an accident. a bucks county business owner had has lost his building in a raging two a alarm fire. flames broke out around 7:00 last night at spencer's landscaping company in humeville. fire fighters battled the blaze for about four hours. the building is new destroyed but forpet nately, no one was injured. >> it is just buildings, so i'm happy, about that but i can't be really happy because i have owned this for almost 30 years now and i have never had an incident and it scares

me. >> now here's a look at gutted remains of that building courtesy of chopper three. the building owner told us an employee was inside working on machinery when something sparked and it ignited the fire. an official investigation is underway this morning. another twist in the deaths of cooper health systems ceo john sheridan and his wife. investigators revealed that joyce sheridan died from a stab wound to her chest. she and her husband were found unresponsive during a fire at their montgomery township, new jersey home in september. that fire was ruled an arson. the cause of john sheridan's death remain unknown. three men are arrested for plot to go travel to syria and joining isis, two linked to philadelphia. eighteen year-old and 24 year-old abdul, were arrested in new york. the third suspect, a 30 year-old man was arrested in florida allegedly all on their way to fight for isis. investigators say he owned a

we are watching a slow creep of this storm system making it's a approaching and you will see that taking you next to storm scan three. notice we are looking at a three hour loop. it has been a very slow creep north with this moisture. it is a relatively quick hitting storm but moisture taking its time to move in here. by the time it does, once it does it will start to dump snow and you will find that hint of the mix to start things off through sussex county but it will turn over to snow every where. you can see moisture source dark shade of purple and green indicate where you have the bulk of moisture. we're right on the edge of that. that is why southern most extreme of our area will end up with the most. here's our exclusive eyewitness weather snowfall map. i would say that snow will hang on for a while in philadelphia a for an inch. but general coating is in the the without question. north and western suburbs yes, possible you will see a couple flakes up to a coating perhaps but as far as anything you might need to break shovel

traffic is very light only 4:52 and we're not at 5:00 o'clock. we usually don't see rush hour until 6:00 o'clock or 6:15. we are looking at burlington bristol bridge. the it is difficult to tell here but they have closed the burlington bristol bridge for an opening. so plan according arely if that is where you are headed. rest of the bridges are doing fine. and traveling on i-95 and it looks just as nice and serene. that was i-95 around girard but speed sensors high up in the 50's and does not matter where you are going it is pennsylvania jersey delaware, nice all over. we have a construction project on the 42 freeway southbound between the 25 and 55, left lane block for quite sometime. we also have construction on route 130 southbound black horse pike where two right lanes will be blocked until 6:00 a.m. but it seems to be that weather-wise we might have a few disruptions as well. >> absolutely, really is all about location location location.

traveling south we have much better shot to end up with some snow today and specifically this morning for your morning drive. we are already starting to see signs of the snow out there, in rehoboth, boardwalk place nice bright shot with the land fall lit here but obviously a fresh little layer of snow on the boardwalk right now and just getting underway folks. this is a quick hitting storm but it does pack moisture and that is indicated here because you have such bright colors dark shade of purple and green and bright red and yellow that you see. you have a lot of moisture to work with. even though you are on the fringe of this storm and we can zoom in and show you with a tighter zoom. we too will even up with at least a opportunity to pick up a couple inches of snow out of this namely through southern most counties. you can see it is trying to move into lancaster county, portions of chester, you might have flurries and showers up that way as well. general idea is it is south

east half of our area that end up getting hit the hardest. now it would include philadelphia a but would i say nothing more than a coating absolutely a max an inch of snow is expectation in the city and further south where you can see winter weather advisories through southern new jersey and winter storm warning through southern most del marva including sussex county delaware you may even up with three to five out of this. let go to future weather and jump in the early morning drive. this is a slow creep of snow again, model and interpretation of how things will shake out but by seven eight, 9:00 a.m. you don't have anything going on in bucks county or north fringe of it. depending on your location it will just, you know, you have to base your morning around that further south more likely to see snow. 28 degrees is expected high today and tomorrow. we will get you in the 20's saturday but more sunshine and another system is already here as we look ahead to sunday night, back over to you.
