erika is off. get ready or not, round two of the wintry weather. storm scan three shows us snow heading our way and this one could be the biggest snowfall of the season. >> katie is on the sky deck to let you know when the snowfall will fall. >> yes, a lot of ups and downs with this pattern. we had some ice, snow and now turning back over to rain and then we will see it turn back over to snow and then it all wind down, thank goodness. those temperatures have climb enough that it is still chilly but it is warming up that it is all turned over to rain at this point. still a hint of pink through color scheme as we go up to the lehigh valley and poconos. we have winter weather posted until 6:00 a.m. but notice how thinks coming through scattered. this is how you will find it. i will keep your umbrella at the ready at anytime for rain and drizzle toll come through in pockets at anytime with this system but for now we have issues with fog. i don't know if you can hear wind through my microphone but that is noticeable out here right now.

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us to explain how crews are getting ready to deal witt all justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, yes. that is right if you wake up this morning you'll find road conditions aren't too bad more slush then ice but still penndot is urging you to be safe and they are making an effort to keep you safe on the roads this morning. they have lifted that speed limit restriction put in place on tuesday that was 45 miles an hour on area roads, including 76, 476, as well as our route one. now ahead of another big storm, penndot has had its trucks back out pretreating roads, this storm, they are bracing for could drop as much as four to 8 inches in our area. they have been kept busy preparing for that and also spending this winter as well. they are on track to drop more than hundred thousand tons of salt this winter and they have

the possibility of the the death penalty for april 2013 attack. three people were killed in that blast, more than 260 others wounded. the trial is expect to last three to four months. a justice department report due later today shows direct evidence of racial bias by police and municipal court workers in ferguson, missouri. that report says officers targeted black residents for petty offenses such as walking in the street. the court system is accused of putting, collection ahead of public safety. the investigation follows august 2014 killing of michael brown. his shooting by police set off weeks of protests, ukee. big changes to the eagles offense, pro bowl running back lesean mccoy is reportedly on the verge of being traded. we have new video of the rough landing for this plane in the nepaul, turkish airlines plane skidded off the runway yesterday after landing in dense fog. pictures show the startled passengers actually running from that plane. it ended up nose down in the

grass but none of the 224 people on that plane were hurt. so that is got news there. 5:13. we will send it over to katie for more on this crazy storm, yes. >> it is a huge storm that started yesterday and it will continue to be here all through today and mess of tomorrow because it is so huge for one thing but also it has another piece of the puts will that we have to discuss here in the way of the separately pressure that will ride along the cold front. that is where our best snow potential comes from. we will walk you through all this starting with this look at storm scan three. for now we have speckles of pink, in between here but there is basically enough mild air in place that it has all turn over to rain. it could be slick in the northern most suburbs. look at this slug of moisture heading our way, all of it will ride along the rim of the slow moving cold front and there is enough cold air on the back edge there is some snow and that will be just dropping in our region here later on tonight. future snow amounts. we are at 9:00 p.m. and

nothing has change over. it is just rain fog drizzle most of today and even into tonight. but overnight that cold air will dive in and you'll see it all turn over from rain to snow from north to south with time. as we look ahead at this particular computer model we could get you through most of the day with that potential for snow. generally southern 23rd of the region has best shot for most accumulation. we will call it the four to 8 inches as our expectation here in the eyewitness weather center but there are a couple of factors with this, the timing of that change over how long any sleet may last before it turns completely to snow, and where it all tracks, that said too the speed of the storm could make or break whether we end up with up to 8 inches or on the lower end of. that it has warmed up. it is cold outside but warmer then it was. we have gotten 15 to 25 degrees in fact. now, as we go throughout the day we are closer to seasonal

but it is a a dreary one for you. overnight tomorrow here comes the snow again vittoria. >> ahh, the snow. good morning everyone. the roadways are sleeping right now and i think tomorrow we will can look forward to the white stuff but in regard to right the now road are just yet. if you are traveling on the ben franklin bridge and a few other bridges including betsy ross we have speed restrictions of 25 miles an her on the the betsy, rest of the bridges we have 35, they could change that but reason why they are in place because bridges are extremely slippery and usually bridges are first to freeze. very serious condition you will find on our area bridges. volleys not a problem but those slick spots are serious. moving to the roosevelt boulevard around wissohickon notice that the lens is foggy and wet, you are experiencing the same weather conditions outside. traveling a few buses are on detours and in regard to the rail lines we are moving fine, lets head back to the desk. red cross is helping three

5:23. let's send it over to katie. what is going on with this storm. >> lots. we have lots to talk b this will be another day's worth of an event with thankfully this time mainly rain but i have to tell you further north you go you might fine icing falling from the sky maybe a little bit of light snow because i did just check with our eyewitness weather watchers which we will talk about in a second. sky cam three in ocean city. other issues are areas of fog. we are in the warm sector of the storm. the lots of moisture. if it is not raining, icing or doing something you may have a little fog to contend with. it is somewhat sporadic and further are north purple and pink showing up that way. i check with one of our watchers in saylorsburg keith, and he has mix of snow and ice. not the best start in the poconos but everybody else can generally expect off and on period of rain and drizzle

with the fog, overnight and especially tomorrow morning all turns over to snow, as much colder air moves back in and we will see that snow coming down heavily here. we will pick up 4 inches but through southern 23rd of the area we have a shot for up to eight. that is the big story tomorrow. nicer weather story is we will breathe a sigh of relief here for friday, saturday, and sunday. in the only will temperatures start to rebound but we are banking on a couple straight days of quiet weather for a change. we deserve it vittoria. >> thursday, you have to get through the worst to get the bet, right. i think that is what they say. i saw that on instagram. lets look at our cameras outside this morning. traffic wise is looking great. we are in the seeing any major delays at all. looking at schuylkill expressway around montgomery drive, east and westbound side are moving well. we have a disable vehicle right here at on ramp. we definitely see more i would say disable vehicles in and
