from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia, this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". memorial gross near the site where philadelphia police officer, robert wilson iii lost his life in the line of duty and tonight at 11:00 a community honors his service and his sacrifice. good evening everyone, i'm natasha brown thank you so much for joining us, one of the men arrested in officer wilson's murderer face a judge this morning. simple homemade signs stuffed animal or two and thank you card written by some children. it was quiet there saturday afternoon, so different from the vine lens that occurred just feet away on thursday afternoon. >> around 4:30 officer robert wilson shot multiple times inside this game stop, he was buying a video game for his son, a nine year old whose good grades earned him a gift. two suspect came into the store to rob it, and officer wilson stepped in, and was shot and killed, as a result. saturday came the first charges in the case suspect ramon, a second suspect reminds in the hospital with gunshot wounds, but will be arraigned soon. >> he did what he was supposed to do. he got up in the morning, put his uniform on, came to work, serving the city of philadelphia. and for this to happen is a tragedy. >> wayne, with mothers in charge anti-violence group beyond that, her son police officer moses walker, was shot and killed in 2012, he worked in the same precinct as

into the 50's, in the seven day forecast. we'll get to that coming up in a few more minutes natasha? >> sounds great. thanks justin. this morning's bitter cold temperatures made it even more difficult for firefighters in montgomery county. they had to deal with icy conditions white battling two alarm fire. "eyewitness news" reporter steve patterson has that story from whitpain township. >> it is one thing to battle a fire, another to battle ice. but to battle both at the same time. >> it is just brutal. it is brutal. >> firefighters alert today whitpain township at about 3:00 saturday morning there is three-story converted home in flames. the 800 block of dekalb pike. >> they made an aggressive interior attack, but at that point, it run up into the third floor and got up into the roof area. >> center square fire chief lee miller, says the home was unoccupied, and after battling flames from the top down, crews controlled the smoke the problem there is was all playing out in sub freezing temperatures. >> it was difficult fire to

fight. we were looking at about ten 15 degrees out here, this morning. so obviously everything turned to ice right away. >> for every ounce of watt their firefighters had to dump on top of that house they also had to consider what it was doing to the grounds. so as much as this was a fire fighting operation it also became a salting operation. four firefighters were injured, three from falling no one needed medical treatment. the chief says all things considered, that is a win. >> four minor injuries, that's a good night. >> in montgomery county, steve patterson, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> well, police are searching tonight for the suspect who shot and killed a 20 year old man in philadelphia's allegheny neighborhood. it happened just after 2:00 this morning on the 2100 block of west indianna avenue. police say a gunman chased three men after an argument, and shot one of them in the back. doctors pronounced the victim dead at temple hospital. anyone with any information about this case should contact

correspondent, craig boswell has details. >> few dozen protesters celebrated friday night after police officer shot and killed a 19 year old black man. >> i'm frustrated, angry. >> police say callers report add man jumping in and out of traffic who then entered an apartment. another person reported the man was responsible for an earlier assault. police who responded to the apartment heard a disturbance and forced their way inside. they say the man assaulted one of the officers, hitting him in the head, and knocking him to the ground. >> subsequently shot the suspect. >> man identified as tony robinson, died at local hospital. police said saturday afternoon, he was unarmed. >> that's going to make this all the more complicated for

the investigators for the public. >> robinson's mother was not present at the shooting, but blames police. >> my son is now another statistic of the things that are happening all over the united states. another black kid shot by the police. >> the offers here shot robinson was also involved in another police shooting in 2007 but was cleared of any wrong-doing. he's now on administrative leave pending a state investigation. craig boswell, "eyewitness news". >> a garage roof collapses in california injuring at least eight people, this happened during a saint patrick's day party near the campus of california polytechnic state university. police say dozens of people were on the roof and that's what caused the collapse. none of the injuries are thought to be serious caught on camera, apparent road rage incident on a california highway. this video here was recorded by another driver earlier this week watch as this small car

repeatedly slams on its brakes nearly causing a accident with the suv following behind. the driver even throws bottles at the suv. eventually the small car speeds off at 100 miles an hour on the shoulder of the road. the witness who recorded the video says he want that driver to face charges. >> just stupid, stupid guy f there is something going on in that guy's head to cause him to drive like that. >> police say they are planning to speak with more witnesses, and they could file a host of charges in this case. >> an old school bus here is helping to train dogs, research and rescue operations, "eyewitness news", at the pen vet working dog center, a large crane lowered the bus onto an outdoor rubble pile, which the puppies go through to simulate searching for victims. the rubble pile also helps the dogs become accustomed to working on unstable surfaces. well, if you are looking for milder temperatures, you will like the forecast, but it

is a slow process. this is going to take some time. but eventually we will get our temperatures back to average even slightly above average. that will will feel nice compared to what we were dealing with over the past few weeks, and compared to 24 hours ago really not that bad outside. as we check in with our weather watchers, it is chilly, but we can handle this, 31 degrees at this hour in clementon, new jersey being robert stewart checks in. similar numbers in southampton, douglas 31, eileen gilbertsville, three; robinsville, new jersey, steven collection in with 34 degrees, one cool spot is in collingswood, new jersey, hal has 29 degrees, and generally mid three's in eagleville, jason chilly at 33 shower shale ton 29. so overall temperatures, pretty much at where they should be maybe lie slightly below for the overnight low. outside for center city looking at the ben franklin bridge, just some clouds, passing by, from time to time overnight. that will actually help keep the temperatures up little
