municipal courts. "eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer joins us from our the satellite center to tell you more bit, nicole. >> reporter: ukee, what began as a celebration of the chief's departure turned to chaos when shots rang out wednesday night shortly after midnight. in the cross hairs of 41 year-old st. louis county police officer strung in the shoulder and three two-year old officer from missouri, shot in the face. both were taken to the hospital and were conscious at that time. there were no details given about their conditions, but described only as serious. you can hear gunfire scattered the crowd at this amateur video up loaded to you stream. >> gunfire and now cops have guns drawn. >> reporter: witnesses a say demonstration outside the ferguson police department was winding down when it happen. >> we were actually all about to leave and as we were about to pack our camera up we hear what we thought were fire works. >> then i heard at least four

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao joins us from that scene with an update honorary pairs, crews are already out there, good to see, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, that is right, crews have been working very hard overnight to get this fix in place. the goal, it is to get this road reopened by morning rush and they are making very good progress. at last check they were

waiting on a piece of paper. that pipe has arrived, cut and new crews are working with it in the trench trying to get tonight place. cannon avenue is a fairly busy road off main street in lansdale. police want to make sure everything is up and running before the traffic picks up. at one point police were estimating this work could continue throughout the the morning but again crews are making good progress and they hope to complete this work in a couple hours. this 6-inch water main break happened around midnight on cannon avenue in lansdale montgomery county. north pen water authority have been working throughout the the night and as they work cannon avenue between main and second street is closed. i'm told workers here are getting that piece of replacement pipe in place right new and once that is in place they will be able to get this covered up a and road reopened hopefully by 6:00 a.m. back out here live on the scene, again, cannon avenue is still closed the good news this morning though is that there are in reports of any customers impacted by this break. you can see behind the work this is kind of a residential
