ter: jessica, even beyond the mayor police commissioner fellow officers, there were quite simply neighbors and resident who have come here for the viewing for this murdered officer. when a police officer like robert wilson the third is killed in the line of duty it tears at very heart and fabric of the city and right now sadness is focused at this west philadelphia funeral home as viewing moves forward. escorted by a motorcycle, drill team honor guard family members arrived hugging outside of the viewing as a silent blue line of police, paid tribute to murdered officer robert wilson the third. >> it just takes time to heel. there are in word that can instantly take away the pain that they feel right new. >> reporter: wilson was gunned down march 5th by 2 accused killers inside a north philadelphia game stop store where the officer had gone to buy a present for one of his two young sons who had just turned ten on monday.

this is eighth funeral of the officer he has attended since taking office back in 2007. the viewing will continue this evening. another viewing at 7:00 tomorrow, filled by a funeral. tonight the sadness for this city focused here as the the city says good bye. live from west philadelphia, i'm walt hunter cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a second viewing and a funeral will be held tomorrow morning at palestra on south 33rd street. that viewing will happen at a 7:00 o'clock, the funeral will be held at 10:00 o'clock. the officer wilson will be buried at fern wood cemetery in lansdowne. well, developing news right now chopper three is over a house fire on barlow avenue in woodbury heights, gloucester county. flames were shooting through the roof when fire fighters arrived on the scene right around 5:00 o'clock today. there are in reports of any injuries at this scene, they are investigating the cause of that fire. well, tonight we have an eye on the storm once again, it is expected to bring a substantial amount of rain as we kick off the weekend.

meteorologist kathy orr live on the sky deck with the timing here, the kathy? right now chris, we're still seeing the cloud rain is getting closer and it will be here late tonight. take a look at storm scan three, this is a very large storm that encompasses many states. the the rain keeping into baltimore, washington and already soaking rain in pittsburgh. it is in our near future. about the midnight hour we will see rain moving n flood watches and warnings posted all the way up to the closest is central pennsylvania we have a freezing rain advisory in east affect for poconos for a glaze of ice early tomorrow morning. as temperatures are cold there before they warm up. future weather shows cloud thickening up rain moves in around midnight and falls heavier at times through tomorrow morning and then continues through the day time. this is what we expect about an inch of rain in many locations, keeping an eye on uponning and area road and poor drainage flooding.

community. >> it is a horrible thing to have happen. >> reporter: janet says she's not tortured by hearing gun shots that killed her neighbor and dog walking buddy but those few seconds of silence right after that she cannot forget. >> no yelling, no dogs barking, no cars, you know, skid ago way or anything. so it was just totally quiet. >> reporter: it happen just a few feet from his window police say 51 year-old james stallman was shortly walking his dog 8:30. that was his routine. wow take his young daughter and dog on a knightley walk around the neighborhood. that night he was stop in the 6400 block of wood crest. >> unknown individual came up to him, shot him one time, and we believe fled on foot from that location. >> reporter: he was rush to the hospital and pronounced dead. philadelphia police captain james clark says detective are

during a traffic stop, in bridgeton is suing the the city for more than a million-dollar. jerome reid's death was captured on police dash cam video december 30th. the federal lawsuit names as defendants, not only the city government but the the two police officers involve, their chief and the cumberland county prosecutor. the widow said the officers violated her husband's right to be free from seizure and excessive use of of force. that shooting is under investigation. well, a doylestown man tonight is a accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a montgomery township tanning salon. marshall gibson is under arrest and charged with rape and other crimes. investigators released this surveillance photo of a man they believed to be gibson inside of that salon back on february 25th. the victim claims that gibson kissed and grabbed her inside a tanning room. when she resisted, he pulled out a knife, held to it her throat and sexually assaulted her.

prosecutors a say that gibson has confessed. a big relief for a philadelphia mother, her little boy is back home tonight, after he was kidnaped overnight. take a look at four year-old yandell rosario and his mother walking in to their home in fair hill. police say this little boy was kidnaped by his mother's companion staying at the house. detectives say that they found the boy and suspect a few blocks away. >> what man takes a child that is not yours that is not a man that is being sick. you have kids have of your own why would you take my kid for. don't nationaller what you you are going through now have light to take somebody's kid that is not yours. >> the suspect, 35 year-old carlos manual lebron junior is in police custody. it is unknown why he allegedly took that child. it is a major setback, bankruptcy judge has belong florida developer glenn straub from buying atlantic city's closed revel casino. today judge gloria burns said that she does not have the jurisdiction to a have prove
