"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live on the temple campus this morning, to tell us more about it, good morning, justin. >> reporter: good morning those student dion dawkins and hasson reddick positioned bonds every $10,000, facing several charges which include simple and aggravated assault as well as wreckless endangerment, criminal conspiracy. dawkins junior offensive

lineman, reddick red shirt sophomore linebacker, accused of assaulting a temple student at off campus farther back on january 17th. the university says it is aware of the case and investigating snake short that they have and will continue to fully cooperate with the police investigation, and will take a prepare row at action outlined in the student conduct code. they go on to say the student have been suspended from football team activities, pending further investigation. and back out live, their first day in court is march 31, at 8:00 a.m. and we are live on temple as campus justin finch "eyewitness news". >> thank you also, right now look at new video of passenger being subdued on a flight from washington d.c. to denver. the united airlines flight was heading to denver last night when it had to turn around and return to dullos airport after the passenger failed to listen to the crew's instructions. here's what the pilot told air traffic control. >> we had passenger becoming violent, no weapon involved.

he's restrained by other passengers now though. we don't know his mental condition. but sound like he's restrained for now. we just need to get on the ground. >> police took the passenger off the plane after it landed. the rest of the passengers will fly to denver this morning. >> new this morning, a man is shot five times in juniata park. it happened shortly before 2:00 in the 4600 block of ella street. investigators say he was shot in the chest and head. his condition is unknown at this time. that shooting is under investigation. >> also, new this morning, a homicide is under investigation in the cobbs creek neighborhood. investigators tell us 19 year old man was shot twice in the head. that shooting happened in the 6,000 block of irving street just before 10:00 last night. the victim died at a hospital. there is no word right now on the suspect. diana? >> erika, philadelphia fire investigators are trying this morning to determine how two firefighters were shocked by a power line. both men helped fight the flames on the second floor of

this rowhouse, on the 2400 block every west norris street. it was out within minutes as they were removing a 35-foot aluminum ladder t hit a powerline. fight fighter burn was burned, colter suffered minor injuries. >> very frightening close call. i talked to both members. and they say exactly the same thing, routine fire, taking down a ladder which they do on a daily basis and they both were shocked. >> taylor has third agree burns to his feet. colter was treated and released from temple hospital. >> it is 5:03, time for traffic and weather together. katie, good morning. >> good morning diane a happy saint patrick's day everyone, this is one of those days where you start off real quiet very pleasant, actually pretty mild, in fact, it doesn't stay that way. we are eventually going to end up with the wind kicking in and colder air taking back the lead, so we're really just going to get back little dose of winter for the middle part of the week specially in toward friday. storm scan three prom ills you

little dash of green for saint patrick's day on the radar t won't mess with you all that much. you won't need an umbrella in most spots. i would say the best zest puckett ends up with possibility of steadier showers would be the poconos. see there is steadier little batch right now just north of the i80 corridor. so that's really where you likely will ends up with the most showers here today. even then, it is not going to be all that bad. because the bulk and the gist and the thrust of the moisture is basically off to the north. but look where our temperatures stand. they are not bad. i mean, granted still into the 30's allentown, mount pocono, but that's not terrible to start things off. currently at 45 degrees in philadelphia, 47 in atlantic city, we zoom it out a smidge here, see out in cleveland temperatures are also starting to take a little bit after hit. and there is real nice little surge every moisture, or rather mild air i should say out toward pittsburgh. already flirting with 60 out toward steel city. so event lip we're actually going to warm up nicely, too. we expect to hit 62 degrees here, guys by the time we hit about lunchtime but the

problem is it won't last all afternoon. might get hour or two, low 60s, temperatures decline, wind kicks in, really much different second half of the day, jess, than what we are starting off with, which is nice and quiet for now. >> definitely nice and quai set good thing especially for therapy in the morning. no one wants to wake to up that. happy tuesday. good morning everybody 5:05, it will be pretty nice out so far. so get up. we got to get our day started. we start things off on the schuylkill expressway, right around spring garden, you can see, everything moving along nicely. if you are headed in or out of the city, east or westbound there is currently no problems there. out on the blue route, you are looking at pretty much the same story there. right around mid-county, you can see in the southbound lanes, not even car to drive by. but out in plymouth meeting we do have emergency sinkhole repair plymouth road closed between the blue route and butler pike, take germantown pike to get on by. over on the pa turnpike, on the -- excuse me, blue route northbound ramp to germantown

pike, there is an accident there. pa turnpike what i was talking about northeast extension southbound right before the pa turnpike there is a disable vehicle there blocking out the left-hand lane. also out in cheltenham, willow avenue at old york road. there is actually a car that's been pushed into a pole there. we can expect some clean up therefore quite some time. mass transit no problems this morning, diana, back over to you. >> thank up, disturbing twist in the disappearance of missing new jersey woman. the mother after man charged with her murder is now accused of trying to help her son cover up this crime. >> notorious real estate heir, confession happened in the rest rom while still wearing his microphone. jan carabeo joins us with the latest details on the story. jan? >> reporter: robert durst being held without bail this morning awaiting extradition to los angeles to face first degree murder charges. yesterday he was charged with killing his friends susan berman, in december of 2,000. now, for more than 14 years investigators hadn't been able to gather enough evidence to charge him. that all changed after robert durst reached out to film maker to tell his life story. in the cable series finale of the jinx, sunday night apparently durst is heard over a microphone saying kill them all of course. he said on cbs this morning that his crew didn't realize what they had recorded in the l -- until the editing process. >> obviously for us a shot, many months since we had sat down with him. >> durst didn't kill susan berman. he is ready to end all of the

rumor and speculation and have a trial. >> reporter: prosecute letters decide later if they will seek the death penalty involved in the unsolved 1982 disappearance of his wife kathleen in new york and also for the murder after neighbor in texas but claimed self-defense and was acquitted. >> jan, thank you so much. >> right now a 13:00. we want to get over to katie and get your saint patrick's day forecast, you say half and half forecast? >> that's how i would define it half the day pretty darn nice, and the other half things start to shift. we will be in transition mode as i like to call it by that point. and it all comes courtesy of the latest disturbance system that really is not so much barreling down on our area, but definitely moisture to work with off to the north. still find couple of stray showers, moving on through portions of say the pocono region definitely if you're traveling up toward up-state new york you will run into better possibility. wet weather. meantime though this front is actually more than anything going to send our temperatures

on nosedive later today and kick the wind in, which we'll discuss, but also have to discuss what's looming down the pike here, innocent looking little pocket of rain right now over northern mexico right? but this will eventually turn into a full-fledged storm system over the open plane. as it does so it starts to gather moisture, right now the track and the timing are critical. so, it is still several days away. but friday would be the day where we have the possibility at least for some rain and yes some snow. now, we're settling into a chilly pattern here for the next few days, guys, so again time something everything. few limiting factors will work against us if we're going to see snow accumulation, a lot of ingredient need to come together. we'll see how we do. stick with us. we will have to monitor it. in the meantime later today temperatures start to gradually decline. we hit about 62 greasy would say by lunchtime seeing the temperatures fall from there so we bottom out to 30 overnight. at least the sun comes back despite that chill returning for wednesday thursday, and friday too. jess? >> thanks, katie. good morning everybody 5:14,

starting things offer out on 95. currently no problems on a lot of the majors, and it is still early. we will show you 95 right around cottman avenue. right through the work zone, that's where the taillights are going southbound into the city. everything moving along just fine. northbound lanes doing the same. out on the schuylkill expressway, right around montgomery, everything moving along great there as well. so headed eastbound westbound, into king of prussia, no problems there. out in plymouth meeting though we do have some emergency road work repair therefore a sinkhole on plymouth road. that's closed. so between the blue route and butler pike, you want to take germantown pike to get on by. we do have a disable vehicle though, on the pa turnpike westbound from the ramp to the northeast extension southbound. that's blocking out the right-hand lane. actually one of the e-zpass lanes, as well. out in cheltenham, accident on willow avenue old york road. there is a car into a pole there, so we can expect some police activity on the scene for that clean up. out on the blue route northbound, the ramp to germantown pike, crash over into the shoulder, as well.

>> individual joe trying to track down the person who stabbed a delivery man on the lasalle university campus. that will delivery man for jack and jill ice cream was attacked yesterday inside bathroom at the blue and gold dining commons. we're told the man was stabbed once in the chest. he is expected to survive. >> this gloucester county teacher accused of secretly taking pictures of female student while they were in school. thirty-seven year old adam mayor teaches english at the gloucester county institute of technology, and police say that he took pictures of several girls private areas. he's lock up on $300,000 bail. police are working to id all of the victims. >> 5:19. another student at montgomery county high school is diagnosed with whooping cough. that bridges the number of cases at souderton area high

>> 5:23 on your saint patrick's day, how are we looking today? >> one of those days where half the day looks great half the day not necessarily looking terrible but different. start to see transition go into effect here, but off to pretty quiet start as promised, we are seeing little irish green showing up here on the radar for your saint patrick's day. doesn't mess with you all that much. might see sprinkle far and north, about the worse of your worries. but here is perfect example how the month of march is so changeable. we call it march madness for a reason, not just basketball but in weather too because on saint patrick's day in philadelphia you have seen everything from 86 degrees weather to 10 degrees weather to inch plus every rain to almost 5 inches of snow. and that actually happened last year, if you recall. meanwhile, today, it is a transition day for sure. but we're definitely seeing some interesting weather un fowl here. weep hit the low 60s early on, winds kicks in, temperatures start to drop. and talking 20 degrees difference from one day to the next. jess, over to you. >> it will be a shock for sure. thanks katie, a and good

morning, everybody 5:23, starting things off relatively quiet so far this morning. not whole lot in the way of volume, and a lot of majors. we start things off on 95, though, and tell you what i am talking b you can see not a lot of cars right around the airport, the taillights are headed southbound, right toward the airport northbound, doing just fine, as well. over on the vine street expressway, not much to speak of here, as well. that's definitely a good thing, right around 24th street. so westbound into the schuylkill, have no problem getting there. or to 95, if you're headed eastbound, right there on the vine. now out in cherry hill, new jersey, we have some construction sinkhole repair on route 70 eastbound at springdale road. that's blocking out the right hand lane. so only one lane getting by there. out in plymouth, plymouth road is closed between the blue route and but the her pike, for emergency sinkhole repairment take germantown pike to get on by. now, for the rest of the majors, junction like i said pa turnpike no problems headed eastbound from valley forge into bensalem, 23 minute trip. no problems on the schuylkill, eastbound, headed from the vine into 95, no problems on
