"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live with new information, good morning. >> reporter: nicole and erika, good morning. it has been one week since that 51 year-old father was shot and killed in overbrook and now developments in this homicide investigation. police have a a 14 year-old in custody being questioned in connection with this case.

take a look at this video, also developing, detectives and cream scene unit were busy at a home in west philadelphia searching for cruz in connection with this case. that home is at 65th and girard avenue. meanwhile as a memorial growness overbrook where 51 year-old james stoleman was gun down last thursday police have been working non-stop. motive peers to be robbery and attack random. he was out walking his dog 8:30 p.m. when three suspects attacked. investigators earlier this week spoke to "eyewitness news" and said trio had been stalking another dog walker but then decided to go after him. take a listen. >> this was an in fact attempted robbery. we believe it is by three black males wearing hot ease all with backpacks. >> it does appear to be very random. these guys just walking down the street saw him and for whatever reason targeted him. >> reporter: again, a a couple of new developments overnight
