"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live with more on that, good morning. >> reporter: nicole and erika there is very much a developing story, police have been searching for three suspects and new they tell us they have a 14 year-old person of interest in custody being questioned in a homicide investigation. flowers marked the spot in overbrook where one week ago a 51 year old father was gunned down in cold blood just out for a walk with his dog molly. now investigators could be

gaining ground on his killer. a 14 year-old is being questioned in connection with the homicide and detective were busy here wednesday night, in west philadelphia. the crime scene unit went through this home at 65th and girard avenue looking for possible clueness connection with this case. james stoleman was shot and killed in the 6400 block of. "eyewitness news", spoke with investigators who say they have narrowed down the motive and number of suspect. >> this was an attempt robbery. we believe it is by three males, black males wearing hoodies with backpacks. >> reporter: investigators believe the trio had been stalking another talk walker but decided to go after stoleman. >> it does a poor to be very random. these guys walking down the street saw him and for whatever reason targeted him. >> reporter: until the suspects are caught police want neighbors in overbrook to be on alert. they hope justice is served sooner rather than later. >> i just hope they catch these guys. that is the main thing. i hepp they catch these three

guys and just take it to the fullest. >> reporter: police say that surveillance video has played a big part, in this case, and developments overnight have been that one person of interest, at least one person of interest is in custody a 14 year-old is being questioned in this case at a home in west philadelphia, searched in connection with this homicide investigation. we will stay with this story and bring update throughout this show. we are live outside philadelphia police headquarters, jane carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". meanwhile a medical examiner will perform an autopsy on a mount laurel woman, found dead. searchers fod body of erika crippen inside 140 miles from where she was, last seen in cherry hill, new jersey. crippen was wrapped in the blanket some one used an electrical port to find her arms, leg and neck and covered her face and nose with duct tape. gps helped investigators found crippen's body. >> gps device had 8600 i'll

it is carrying pre dues. so a ton of mess in the area. a lot of clean up to go on. you can see one lane block off in the left-hand side so heading westbound from new jersey into philadelphia, is where this is heading in to philadelphia today that is where you'll primarily be affect. this is from new jersey, no real volume here, heading in to that area just yet but we will see some problems later on in the commute. left lane being blocked lanes all getting by and there is actually a vine street expressway and keep you updated later on. we have no problems for betsy ross, walt whitman east or westbound everything looking fine erika back over to you. we have learn that students at paulsboro high school will have classes this morning. yesterday fumes sickened over a dozen students and staffers. after 5:00 o'clock this morning. emergency workers finding air inside will be safe for students this morning. i'll step out of the way and show thaw school. they just left a short time ago. so nothing like what we saw yesterday. lets take to you video just afternoon time on wednesday that the school was dismissed early, 13 students and staffers were sent home and to nearby hospitals with itchy eyes and this is caused by a leak in the nearby paulsboro refinery plant. we are told there was a leak on the tank there and that leak had been spilling fumes in the air for about three days. the worst of the leak coming in on wednesday superintendent walter quinn tells thaws this will be ago and, take a listen. >> school is happening. all of the monitors from the different agencies, county local, refinery itself department of environmental protection have been here and they cleared the schools. they did a extensive tour of

between the second district where wilson worked. wilson was killed early this month when he was shot during a robbery at the game stop at 22nd and lehigh. a special moment before the sixers game last night the the team hosted officer wilson's family. the sixers tweeted out these pictures of the nerlens noel giving his ten year-old son a pair of sneakers. he got the to shoot free throws with the players. coach brett brown says they are welcome to come back anytime. wonderful will to see that. terrifying bus ride for west philadelphia student where their driver gets lost takes them off course abe out of the city. the bus left mastery charter school at 53rd and berks yesterday afternoon and wound up at west chester pike and new street in upper darby. police found that bus after a driver called 911 to report children were at the window screaming for help. bus driver was disoriented and then taken to the hospital. there is in word on their condition. developing right now, two people are confirmed dead and

heart breaking tragedy on the streets of new york. philadelphia would pennsylvania man was killed just months before she was supposed to get married. the 37 year-old woman was walking down the street in manhattan tuesday night when a strong win gust blew a four-by-eight section of play wood off a construction site fence. while the wood flew flew across the street and hit her and threw her begins a side of the building. >> it is really sad thaw are just walking down the street and you just never necessity what will happen. >> she was supposed to get married in july, the city was temporarily shut down while that construction project was investigated. we will send it over to kate for more on the at forecast. >> forecast is not what people want to hear. the right the now we have nothing but plane old rain showing up but on the tail even of the loop you can see that, it is over portions of the central appalachians and
