game in just a moment but first we have an eye on the storm, winter weather advisory is in effect. good evening i'm jessica dean. i'm natasha brown. the chris may is off tonight. lets get over to meteorologist kathy orr with the latest from storm scan three. kathy, i'm still trying to wrap my head around more snow. >> everyone is just tired of it. it is last waning hours of winter and on our screen we have got a lot of green but as it encounter cold air over northeast we will be seeing snow, moving into the delaware valley. this will fall early tomorrow morning, where temperatures are below freezing. winter weather advisory in effect with the region with the exception of south jersey and central and southern delaware with accumulating snow especially on the grassy surfaces. future weather takes us through the night, cloud thicken and by 7:00 a.m. you cane in the line west of reading through lancaster and eastern shore of maryland where it is mainly rain. the as it takes over the the delaware valley it the becomes snow very quickly through philadelphia accumulating in

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones is live at police headquarters with new information on this disturbing case. todd? >> reporter: and natasha according to police after the

three suspects got done playing basketball, they decided to rob the victim james stoleman and they pick him over another man who was also walking his dog because stoleman was older and that he was walking a dog that quote looked week and soft. philadelphia police say james stoleman, a married man and father of a young daughter asked the suspect to spare his life. >> did he plead for his life and said please don't shoot me. >> reporter: investigators say had didn't stop 15 year old ta find hamilton from pulling the trigger shooting stillman in the check as he walk his dog never his other brook home. police have an arrest warrant out for overbrook high school freshman and they have a message for him. >> turn yourself in. come see us before we come toe you. >> reporter: police arrested brandon smith, who was also charged with murder a 14 year-old was also arrested but he is facing lesser charges. sources a say he began crying when he gave his statement.

police say both lived at this home near 65th and girard that was searched wednesday night. several guns were taken from the home. stoleman's neighbors in the meantime are stun. >> thank god his daughter wasn't with him. that was one of the main things, you know people really are thinking about. >> reporter: surveillance cameras in overbrook recorded rid ohio of the suspects running, 19th district police officers spotted suspects wednesday and brought them in for questioning. >> nothing, nothing was taken which makes us even more senseless and even more troubling. >> reporter: so manhunt right now for hamilton continues police say both the 15 year-olds will be charged as adults and they say both of them have prior arrests for robbery. reporting live tonight from police headquarters in center city, todd quinones for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> todd, thank you. also breaking news right now a stabbing inside a restaurant in southwest philadelphia chopper three over 55th and lindberg boulevard. police say a 20 year-old man

was stab multiple times there and hospitalized in stable condition. police say a suspect is now hospitalized with what they believe are self inflict stab wounds. well, coming up on cbs-3 "eyewitness news" a terrible tragedy but not a crime. that is the word from authorities investigating the police involved death of brandon tait-brown. we will hear from tait-brown's family about today's announcement. he was trying to get in the bar and ended up getting slammed to the ground and bloody during an arrest. now disturbing video has hundreds rallying behind this honor student. we will be right back.

back on "eyewitness news" with a potentially dangerous situation in north philadelphia a truck gets caught up in utility wires bringing down a pole there. and chopper three over the scene at north third and west oxford. that pole came crashing down but no one was injured. and a local woman is killed in a freak accident in new york city. thirty-seven year-old, tram thigh wynn of philadelphia was walking down a street on manhattan tuesday night when a strong win gusts blew a four-by-eight foot section have plywood off a construction site fence. the wood flew across the street, hit her and threw her against a side of the building. >> it is sad, really is sad you are just walking down the the street and just never know

could see four to 6 inches of snow in the poconos. extend that spring season. our weather watchers are hard at work with those observations at bottom of the screen. the it is a cool day and about to get colder. lets go down the shore where we are seeing mainly rain quick hit of snow possible but don't expect much in ocean city or atlantic city from this particular system. you can see rain with warm temperatures with some colder air in the mountains and west virginia change ago this over to snow. we will see redevelopment off the coast and cold air is in place will create our next accumulating snow. snow moves in between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. moving from the west between 9:00 and 2:00 p.m. steady wet snow with rain in the south beginning to work its way north and then between two and 7:00 the snow change to go rain. i expect that to happen on the i-95 corridor but as that cold air stand firm we will be on the upper end of our snow accumulation. three to four in the suburbs.

new details in the investigation into a deadly police involved shooting that spark protest in philadelphia. the district attorney says that there will be no charges filed in this case, "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter is in center city with new information. >> reporter: surveillance video revealed publicly for the first time was grain i hard to see but the the district attorney says what it

proves along with eyewitness statements is crystal clear: philadelphia police officers who shot and killed 26 year-old brandon tait-brown during an early morning car stop and confrontation last december did not break the law. >> in this case, the facts show a tragedy. a terrible tragedy. but not a crime. >> reporter: the d.a. says this fully loaded stolen weapon found stuffed between the seats of the car had tait-brown's dna on it and he conclude that had evidence shows he was trying to reenter that car when the officers opened fire. >> this was not the case of an unarmed man shot while running away. >> reporter: prior to announcing his decision the d.a. says he met with tait-brown's mother. >> like any mother, i choked and i cried. >> reporter: while she and her attorney did not openly criticize the d.a.'s decision they say far too many questions remain unanswered.

"eyewitness news" new jersey reporter cleve bryan has details new from cape may. >> reporter: like an episode of real willty tv cape may's march 3rd council meeting had drama the members voted not to keep rob sheen an as police chief the day his one year probationary period was up and this councilman resign on the hunt. >> crucified that man. i will not to it. if i have to resign from this town that is what i will do. >> you are free to go. >> i resign effectively. >> chief sheen an's lack of support can be a attributed to some council members concerned that he is part of the investigation in the the possible abuse of comp time. councilman shane meyer supported sheen an. >> it was appropriate information we received. it had nothing to do with cheap sheehan being rhea pointed as chief. >> reporter: city officials blamed a letter from the county prosecutor's office that arrived a day before the vote. it made it unclear whether sheehan is facing any criminal

matt rivers explains. >> hit the the curve too fast an 18 wheeler heading westbound on the ben franklin bridge into philadelphia, flipped on its side backing up traffic all night and into the morning rush hour. >> he tried to negotiate the curve at the rate of speed that they were going at the truck just went over. >> reporter: truck, carrying a large load of italian kiwis blocked a couple lanes of traffic. the cars were diverted on to the fifth street bridge until crews could get lanes opened for rush hour but even then commute where is much longer than normal. the road was in the fully cleared just before 10:00 a.m. offer 13 hours after the crash. why did it take crews as long as it did to clean this accident up. it had to do with all of those kiwis inside, there were hundreds of boxes inside that truck just like that one that were involved in the accident and they each needed to be cleaned by hand. that included box that he is fell out of the truck and box that he is remained outside. >> our plan was to have it off the roadway by rush hour.

a quick thinking school bus driver in florida is called a hero for saving some students from this burning bus. the the driver noticed a

strange smell on the way to school yesterday and quickly got all 20 student off that bus. well, moment later the bus burst into flames destroyed in just a matter of minutes. fire fighters think a problem in the engine sparked that fire. >> look at this guy, look at this guy look at this, look at this. this hot shot motorcycle rider is behind bars this morning after taking police in southern california for a wild ride. he taunted officers, by standing up on the seat of his met or cycle several times leading them on a chase outside l.a. he eventually pulled in the gas station got off his bike and officers arrested him. well, some students meantime on spring break in florida had a chosen counter with a shark. take a look a fisherman ruled in the shark at the end of the peer on jacksonville beach. that caused a panic because spring breaker were swimming nearby. police got involved to stop the fisherman. they made him cut his line so snow one could get hurt. >> hey fisherman you cannot

former secretary of state hillary clinton is in atlantic city. potential 2016 presidential candidate was keynote speaker at american cancer association convention today.
