er when the plane went down. good evening i'm chris may. >> i'm jessica dean. as investigators continue to comb through the ruble and rugged rugged mountains we are learning more about these on the doomed flight. and emily selke graduated with honors from 2013. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter is live at the university's campus where she's remembered tonight walt. >> reporter: selke attended classes at usual absenter on the drexel university campus and it was late this morning that word began spread ago this she, in fact, was a victim of that plane crash, a crash so very far away that suddenly caused a great deal of hurt and pain here on the campus where selke was known and well liked. inside the urban center on the drexel campus there were tears and hugs among those who knew, and taught emily selke as they learned that the the 2013 graduate long with her mom yvonne were among 150 victims tied in the crash of

the germanwings airline flight from barcelona spain to dusseldorf germany on tuesday. selke who graduated with honors from drexel as a music industry major had been employed at a place in alexandria, virginia. drexel is deeply saddened about the loss of alumni, em lie selke and her mother read a university e-mail. our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. during her studies here at drexel selke was active as vice-president, of a campus chapter of the national service sorority gamma sigma sigma. selke's family who lives in virginia, also issued a statement that reads in part our entire family is deeply saddened by the the losses of yvonne and emily selke, two wonderful, amazing people, who meant so much to so many. and selke's sorority also had word of praise commemorating her, for her giving service

oriented spirit. live from the drexel campus i'm walt hunter for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right walt, thank you. meanwhile french officials say it could be days or weeks before remains of all 150 victims from the crash are recovered. investigators are trying to figure out why germanwings flight 9525 lost altitude and slammed in the french alps. they started analyzing voice recordings from one of the plane's black boxes. officials say a it contains usable material but they caution their fine goes will be preliminary. the the "cbs evening news" with scott pelley will have more on the investigation coming up next at 6:30 immediately following this broadcast. we have breaking news coming out of the olney section of philadelphia, this is chopper three live over an accident that as you can see involves a philadelphia fire truck and that car that is up on its side. we new no one woman had to be taken to einstein medical center following this wreck but there is no word on the

extent or severity of her injuries. the crash occurred at third and grange in olney and we will bring you more information just as soon as it is available. well, rain is moving through the region right now. wet weather will stick around too for a while. meteorologist kathy orr is live on the the skies deck with her umbrella up trying to stay dry, hi kathy. >> one minute it was dry and cloudy, next minute was pouring, chris. it will be that type of evening, spotty showers and a few downpours here and there but the real heavy rain will move in during the day time tomorrow. the warmth as well. during the evening temperatures will be pretty much steady a cross the delaware valley. you can see the numbers. we will be seeing conditions that will be changing across the region. the right now blue representing, some cooler temperatures, 32 in the poconos, allentown 40. reading 40. right now 43 degrees in wilmington. forty-seven in millville with milder air to the south. first forecast shows damp weather right through the evening, patchy fog at

9:00 with temperatures staying in the mid 40's and really climbing overnight. as you can see on storm scan three showers moving through the region right now through philadelphia, parts of the lower montgomery and bucks county. they will pass through and behind them some drying conditions, but the patchy fog will be lingering into those late night showers. future weather shows tomorrow morning some cloud and also some rain moving across the region. heavier downpours as well ahead of the cold front and then a line of showers and storms license moving through during the evening with that colder air filtering in. coming up we will talk about a significant one day warm up, the risk coming with our storms, our thunderstorms and when it will be turning cold's cross the delaware valley. yes, colder before the month of april begins. we will have more on that with the seven day forecast when i join you inside. >> kathy thanks very much. prominent new jersey attorney and court appointed guardian was sentenced to prison today for stealing millions from elderly clients. the i team charlotte huffman

luxury condo in florida. >> power of attorney, transferred money in tour own bank account even executed wills, for the people so you could steel from them after they died, how to you sleep at the night. >> reporter: lieberman hid from our cameras and called security. today in court she had in place to hide. >> unaudible. >> reporter: judge event isensed lieberman to ten years in prison. the she's eligible for parole in three and a half. if she testified begins others involved. lieberman agreed to pay three million-dollar in restitution but all of her victims except but one has already died. >> she had to go to prison. the crime was a significant crime. >> reporter: case isn't over just yet the state's investigation is ongoing. the just last week a grand jury indicted lieberman's three coconspirators and two others n mays landing atlantic county i'm charlotte huffman for cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

in bucks county a judge sent isensed the former philadelphia sportscaster don tollefson to two to four years in state prison and 15 years of probation. tollefson is also required to pay back $165,000 for defrauding nearly 200 people in a sports ticket scam. tollefson did face up to 37 years behind bars, following his fraud conviction. he could go free in as little as 14 to 15 months for good behavior and time served. there are air quality concerns following this smokey three alarm warehouse fire in bethlehem. as "eyewitness news" reporter noel mcclaren tells us smoke could be seen for miles around that fire at 1150mauch chunk road. >> it was a frightening wake up call information moravian college students lived just feet from a fabrication company the bethlehem warehouse went up in flames before sunrise. >> we got a net case this morning on our phones there was a fire. >> reporter: sean says fire fighters work fast to contain

the flames but the smoke lingered on moravian's campus. >> my whole room smelled of smoke. i got to class with a cough kind of thing. >> reporter: fire fighters say nobody was inside when the building ignited but some employees showed up to the scene in shock. crew his had todd cut power supplies to 300 area homes and part of the moravian's campus for much of the morning. >> approximately six hours the the power was shut down, for safety of our fire fighters here. >> reporter: since the warehouse handled sheet metal and oils fire fighters say it continued to smolder through the afternoon. emergency management crews are closely monitoring the air quality. >> it will be obnoxious smell to them but the content of what they are breathing is nothing that they should be concerned with. >> reporter: again although smoke in the air may be uncomfortable to breathe we are told that the air quality is considered safe, at this point. crews will be out monitoring air quality throughout the rest of the evening. you can see crews will be cleaning up throughout the rest of the evening. there is still much work to be done in this area. we're in bethlehem tonight

noel mcclaren for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". detectives from allentown and berks county d.a. bring down a drug smuggling organization, bringing drugs into our area from mexico. six suspects were arrested in reading, yesterday after police acted on a tip that drugs would be smuggled in the area search of multiple locations and vehicles connect to the us pecks revealed large amount of cash, heroin and methamphetamines. the street value of those drugs 2.2 million-dollar. philadelphia police investigating a shooting today said they had to open fire on a suspect because he refused to drop his gun. this happen in the nicetown section of the city. police found a crash van with the man inside who had been shot. then another man was seen leaving the vehicle when police noticed he had a gun. after a foot chase officers say they had to shoot had suspect have after he pointed the weapon in their direction. police involved shootings and this weeks recommendation by department of justice was

rain with it with the warmer temperatures. >> meteorologist kathy orr is tracking it all tonight kathy. >> in the end we will have thunderstorm, but it is a sign of warmer weather. that is the the good news. on storm scan three we have leading edge of what what warmer air, thinks a warm front. we will see the warmer air lifting up from the south and we will enjoy that for about a 12 to 24 hour period and then, of course, it will be cooler once again. as we look ahead conditions will get a little bit more tricky as far as temperatures are concerned. lets look at our eyewitness weather watchers. we're in the the 40's, rising overnight and stays mild but cooler air moving back in by the time we end the man of march. we have 43 degrees reported in willow grove. barbara says yes, not much win but we have rain showers. in south jersey even talking about a few sprinkles over the course of the day, 46 degrees

being reported by david. he lives in clementon. the not much in the way of wind but that barometric pressure is falling. anytime we see that we will know storminess is coming. the temperature 45 degrees in new castle county, walter reporting in dry conditions in newark but pressure is falling again. lets look outside where we are expecting more showers even down the shore in ocean city, cape may county where temperatures are in the 40's today. in the a bad day but cloudy day. philadelphia checking in at the 45 degrees at the airport. thirty-two in the poconos. forty-five in dover. you can see to the south warmer air in pittsburgh, 67. richmond 61. the surge is already beginning. that warm air will be lifting to the north tomorrow we are in the place called the warm sector the warm front to the north and approaching cold front. strong southeasterly wind will help those temperatures to rise through the 60's, some locations the 70's and then cold front moves through with thunderstorms toward the

evening. cooler friday and cooler still saturday as cold high pressure settles in over the the northeast and great lakes. start of the storm threats for tomorrow, of course anytime we have a thunder storm we have lightening downpours and wind but as far as threat of hail or tornadoes that is low. we are not expecting any severe storms. rain falling looking at our computer models the average right around half inch that is what the european model is information case continuing and that looks like the best bet with this cold front. during the evening spotty showers and downpours areas of fog developing overnight and temperatures rising through the the 40's, in the 50's by tomorrow morning. by the afternoon upper 60's at least with showers and late the day offer early evening thunderstorms. on the seven day forecast you can see we will rise and then we will slowly fall, 52 on friday, 42 on saturday. another 10-degree drop. then getting better, sunday 47. monday 56. tuesday, 52. but i like wednesday april begins and this is in joke,

63 degrees, on wednesday with some wind not so bad. >> and in rain. >> yes. >> welcome april. >> that is right. >> can't get here soon enough. >> we hope so. at 6:20 we have a disable vehicle starting to tie things up in the southbound lanes right around girard avenue. you can see police activity just got to the scene right there. that reek will is in the third lane over. the cars and traffic are kind of split beyond this point and jams right behind that as well. over on the 42 freeway in new jersey, we have a little bit of activity heading off the the walt whitman bridge. southbound toward ac expressway where that volleys north bound lanes are doing just fine so far. out in olney we have an overturn vehicle an accident here involving a fire engine as well, and third street and grange avenue a lot have of activity on the scene there in bucks county another accident on route 611 between ferry and zillow hill road pushed off in the shoulder.
