this generally pretty much right up and down the i95 corridor specially near trenton getting doused right now with some very soaking rain but this whole mess is going to just sort every glide from northwest to southeast with time, and as it does so, we eventually do see it all retreat out to sea. so meantime, yes, you have damp roads to kick start the morning here. >> visibility is bert but kind kicked in, part of the reason you don't have low clouds, but yes, you will notice that winds flow, 41 degrees currently at the airport generally within that range around the region, colder up toward the mountains on the roads this morning, you just have to slow it down. any time there is precipitation every any kind, you're automatically slowed down. but specially for the next few hours, that rain will come down, and douse you at times on some of the major roadways. so, it is going to be slow commute unfortunately. but you know what? casino of our turn, we didn't have to deal with the rain yesterday morning. but, now we do. obviously. temperatures meantime will eventually get to the upper 30's in the mountains, 40's at the shore, low 50's in the city.

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now at the special victims unit with new information about these suspects jan? >> reporter: erika, both of the suspect under arrest here at the special victims unit as we speak being processed accused of rape and robbery in port richmond overnight and to make matters worse police say, they're both teenagers under the age of 18. a terrifying night for young woman just walking home from the gym in port richmond. police say she was raped, at gunpoint, and robbed, by two teenagers, who left their victim with a threat before leaving the scene. >> the males who committed this crime stated to her point of gun that if they -- if she called the police, or told anyone including her family,

that they would find her and kill her and also kill her family. >> this all happened just after 11:00 thursday night, in the 3900 block of richmond street. police arrived after someone reported screams in the area. the victim was able to describe both of her attackers and police start today search. they found one teenage suspect just couple of blocks away on richmond. police found the second suspect half mile away on east butler street. after arrests the young woman id her attackers. >> in addition to being positively identified, by the female victim, both of the suspects had in their possession items that were taken from the female during the robbery. she was a very violent crime very haneous crime. >> and police also add a lot of businesses in this area, with a lot of surveillance cameras, they are hoping that video will help tie up the case. jan carabeo cbs-3

"eyewitness news". >> jan, thank youment also, breaking this morning, a victim fight back during a armed robbery attempt in west philadelphia, and this morning, two people are dead. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at police headquarters to tell us more about that, justin? >> reporter: good morning, this was a robbery turned shooting involving four men this morning, we know two had passed away, and one is now being treated at the hospital at this time, this all happened about 10:25 last night, in west philadelphia, let's take to you video now of the scene there. on the 5400 block of media street now, two suspect we are told tried to rob two other men and it turns out one of those robbery victims was armed and he saw a gun on one of his robbers so he opened fire, striking two of those robbers then, one of the robbers opened fire on the man and his friends. and he did hit one of those victims. and police continue to investigate this morning. let's take to you sound now from the police. >> well, pulled the triggers

on scene yes okay, little shaken up as you can imagine and we're going to work the investigation for tonight and determine what charges will be filed against each of these individuals. >> now, again, we know two men have passed away, a third man is hospitalized, we also know police have recovered the weapon, that those robbers used to open fire. they will test that gun and see if it may have any ties to other crimes in the area. we are live at police headquarters, justin finch cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> justin, thank you. new this morning, a septa bus driver has found a child soaking wet wandering the street overnight. he spotted that four year old little girl at the intersection of torresdale and magee avenues around 3:00 this morning. the girl was not hurt. she has been reunited when her mother. there is no word yet on how the girl wound up on the street all by herself. >> we're also following a developing story this morning, a woman possibly abducted in philadelphia's fairmount park. it reportedly happened on sedgley drive just before 3:00 yesterday afternoon. police say an eyewitness,

called about seeing a woman being forced into the trunk of a car. the car described as a dark blue pontiac grand prix, with partial tag of jt, the car was last seen going westbound on girard toward kelly drive. if you know anything at all please, call police. >> investigators are trying to find out what motivated the co-pilot of germanwings flight to deliberately crash that plane. a german tabloid reports andrea lubitz had serious depressive episode six years ago, aviation records noted medical problem, too. investigate verse been searching the apartment where lubitz lived in the city of does dove in germany. they've also been looking through the hope of lubitz's parents bringing out bags, big box, and a computer. prosecutors say the voice recorder reveals that lubitz locked the pilot out of the cockpit, and then sent that plane into it descent. >> two of the 150 victims we're told do have local ties. one was yvonne selke then

known as yvonne carlo, 1975 graduate of spring filed high school. both she and her daughter on board that airbus a320 when it crashed into the french alps. >> she was always very student just person, i mean, highly intelligent, and very kind to everyone. >> her daughter emily also died in the crash. emily graduated from drexel university in 2013. >> and stay with "eyewitness news", as we stay up-to-date on the germanwings crash investigation. when you're not near a tv you can go on line to cbs philly. com. this morning crews are starting to demolish three buildings rocked by a massive gas explosion yesterday. at least 19 people were injured, four of them critically. the fire could be seen for miles and spread to other buildings nearby. at least one other structure was destroyed. the explosion believed to be caused by natural gas and plumbing work. we will have a live report from that scene coming up in just a few minutes.

i saw a commercial that said you can save $500 by switching to progressive. that was me, mom. [ laugh ] i thought you said "that was me, mom." [ laughter ] happening today i hadly's hyatt court determines whether to uphold knox's murder conviction in the 2007 for which she was previously found guilty and late area quit dollars. knox and her ex-boyfriends were convicted of killing knocks' roommate. how much, knox is in seattle it is unclear if the us would extradite her if knox's conviction is upheld. well, no murder charges will be filed against a

colorado woman accused of cutting and removing an unborn baby from a pregnant woman. former nurse's aid lane, remains behind bars on $2 million bond. authorities say lane lured the victim michelle wilkins with craigslist ad for baby clothing of the police say lane attacked and cut wilkins stomach, then removed that fetus. the baby did not survive. wilkins was treated at a hospital and later released. there is new information in the pen is that fraternity scandal. police say some of the women pictured nude on the secret facebook page have come forward. authorities also say some members of the fraternity are now cooperating with the criminal investigation. cap a delta ro was suspended for a year, and ordered to reorganize by its national office. new jersey asomugha emmarble has passed a bill that lets students opt out of the so-called park test. par won't have 14 days before the school administers that test to notify their school that their child won't be taking it. parents have complained about

how that test is administered. the amount of class time it is utilizing, and what the results are being used for. 45,000 student have already refused to take it. that bill now goes to the senate. 6:13, ache -- waking to up rainy friday morning how is it looking? >> absolutely waking to up plenty every wet weather out on the map erika. you can see the tell tail application of moisture out here and present on our "skycam 3" camera lens. overlooking the ben franklin bridge here, off in the distance definitely able to see the skyline of the city, it is over just off camera here on the left side of the screen. soap, there are clouds out there but higher up in the atmosphere. we have enough winds to keep us from developing any low-lying cloud cover. but still will have reduced visibility, if you're battling windshield wipers, and certainly the spray that comes off the vehicles. keep that in mine. that said, yes, there is nice little slug every moisture working its way right up the i95 corridor right now appears as though little hint of cold air trying to nudge its way in, as women, just north of the city.

do you not have to worry about snow accumulation, if you saw a wimpy little snowflake mixing in with the rain, i'll give that you temperatures are definitely chilly, this is are your feels-like values, factor in the wind, feeling more like the #'s but we just don't have the atmospheric conditions ripe enough for any snow accumulation, it is just not going to happen. that's at least good news i think for a loft us. but left with the showers and granted, some steady rain here, through the rest of the morning, many locations, it is all sort of winding down from northwest to southeast, so by this afternoon pretty much done with it, and a chilly weekend, this is like early february tomorrow, you can even see flurry but generally it is partly sunny sunday's brighter, but still chillier than average. vittoria? >> thank you good morning everyone. right now it is going to be very busy commute for folks traveling on the platt bridge. reason being, disable bus, been out here for just little bit now. i would say moving close to like the 40 minute range we are dealing with heavy eastbound delays, making your way down toward 26th street f this is where your planning to go this morning wait until it clears out of the way.

stay with us on cbs-3 we'll let you know it does, notice how slick and wet the commute will be this morning, all over. if you are traveling elsewhere, like maybe 476 notice volume not a problem. no incidents to be reported, but with the wet their we are having this morning, you will want to take it extra easy out there. we are starting to see little bit of rush hour pick up on 95 southbound, as the northeast down through to the vine. it will move in pockets but it will be slow. you will find some delays on the schuylkill expressway, room harley city avenue and conshohocken. if you are traveling the manayunk norristown line or plan to this weekend, they are doing some track work. so they'll be shuttle bussing saturday sunday, between norristown and conshohocken. as every right now mass transit looks pretty good. nick oath? >> still ahead local woman accused of faking cancer while under investigation for child abuse. >> also, crews have started to demolishing three new york city billion dollars that is were rocked by powerful gas explosion and collapse. now we have word that someone could be missing. a live report from new york, coming up.

the scene demolition crews still here, as women. as you mentioned overnight we learn that sad development a family says their son is missing. they say that he was inside, one of the buildings when it exploded. investigators now believe faulty utility work may have led to this gas explosion, and fire, in manhattan's east village neighborhood. video recorded by a witness shows the immediate chaos after the explosion rocked several buildings. firefighters worked well into the night thursday, pouring water on hot spots. >> i felt like a big shake, i heard allowed noise, then heard like car alarms go off. >> witnesses returned to help victims who were laying in the street, one man even climbed up a ladder to help a woman get out of the building. >> i know a man unconscious barely conscious in the street, and another man with a laceration across his eye said pretty bad injuries. >> in all, 19 people were hurt, one man a 23 year old may be missing family members say he was on a date inside a

sushi restaurant in one of the collapsed buildings when the explosion happened. the explosion and fire were so intense, two buildings collapsed, a third was badly damaged, and the buildings housed apartments, and stores on the ground floor. >> my belongings were in there, so i just got to figure out i guess from there what's going to happen. >> it took about 250 firefighters get the blaze under control. now family members say the man who was missing is nicholas figueroa. they say that they know that he was inside that sushi restaurant because they checked his bank statement. we should mention there was no gas leak reported before the explosion. live in new york city this morning, don champion, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". don, thanks for that update. updating breaking news right now, two teenage remembers in custody accused in the gunpoint rape and robbery after woman walking home from port richmond gym. police say that the teenager's threatened to kill the victim's family if she alerted authorities. also breaking two men are dead after victim fights back during a robbery attempt in

disable bus traveling on the eastbound side of the platt bridge. it is compromise ago lane or two, as you make your way approaching the area of 26th street. >> moving to the vine, wet and wild westbound seeing delays approaching the schuylkill, it if you are traveling eastbound, also starting to see the slow down, out of 76, down through to broad street. but generally speaking the rush hour, now starting to pick up. so if you are travel on part of the schuylkill, definitely on part of 95 where we would usually find rush hour traffic, it is going to be there this morning just be careful. we have disable tractor trailer in new jersey on 295 southbound, right before the 42 freeway all lanes are blocked, as a result of it so as these arrows here indicate the slow down in this area, also going to find delays on the 42 freeway itself generally around that area, as well. so pretty busy if you are traveling in that section of new jersey. also, we have construction on the eastbound side of industrial highway closing

>> sore bye your drive. >> exactly. that's exactly where i was going with. that will you know there is will be one of those mornings, where you are going to be affected by the weather. if you lock real closely though, right at the tail end of the loop, see how it starts to sort of dwindle away, a little bit at least? so, i can't guarantee things are drying out necessarily but i can promise you the heaviest moisture is pretty much happening right now. you are going to see things sort of taper away a little bit, as the morning progresses, but that said, spray from the vehicles, windshield wipers are going you have got the ponding on the roadways, you are going get slowed down by. >> this we call it steady showers, with the embedded heavy downpours we will be still out there really the next couple of hours so slow, slick travel is the concern but it is all rain. so that's at least something good. not dealing with any snow out there. so we have that going for us, right? 41 degrees the current temperature at the airport definitely off to relatively mild start. we are not going to tack too many degrees on these daytime highs, my friends cold front crock cents through, so i call

the bridge. so, if you are traveling the platt or plan to, i would give it some time and/void it at all costs at this point because it has been slow ever since this occurred at least over an hour to go. so you can imagine the bill up try to avoid the eastbound side of the platt if you can. stay on 95 speaking of 95, we are moving to around cottman trying get to the southbound side of 95, using the the cottman avenue onramp, you can not due to construction as you notice here. so if you are trying to get to 95, good idea would just be to take harbison to ash mink owe 95 find delays, schuylkill find delay rush hour above delays no delays for mass transit. >> thank you. more now on our breaking news, terrifying night for a philadelphia woman who was raped and robbed on her way home. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now at the special victims aoun width more information on the suspects jan good morning. >> reporter: erika, nicole good morning. very quick work by philadelphia police this morning. both of these teenage suspect are now here under arrest, at the special victims unit,

being processed this morning police say that the victim in this case has positively identified both of the suspect, and police also add that the victims stolen property was also found on both of these suspect. take a lock at the video. this is where it all happened around 11:00 last night the 3900 block of richmond street, in port richmond, police were called to this area after someone heard screams, and when they arrived they found this young woman she says, she was raped and robbed, at gunpoint, and that the suspects then threatened her before they left the scene. now, she was able to describe the suspect and police fanned out and scoured the area for these two teenagers, they found one of the suspect just couple of blocks away on richmond street. they found the second suspect, a half mile away from there, a very frightening night as you can imagine for this young woman, she says, that these two suspect threaten her before leaving. take a listen. >> the males who commit in the crime stated to her point of gun that if they -- if she

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us at police headquarters with more information on this one justin, good morning. >> good morning this all began with two men walking home in west philadelphia, not knowing they were pray for two would be robbers. both side here were armed and now this morning, two men are dead and one is recovering. let's take to you video now from last night along the 5400 block every media street in west philadelphia. that is where those two men were walking home late that night, two robbers rather those two men for stick up, the suspect then pounced but one victim was ready. he had a gun and had a permit to car that i gun he opened fire. now police are setting the scene. take a listen. >> the males display the handgun, announce a robbery our permanent victim fires at both males. he hits both of them. they both flea. they drop their gun on the street, also run out of their boots, one collapses short distance away, the other one gets into alleyway here not

too far. police arrive on the scene and all three people are taken over to presbyterian. >> and again those two men did pass away at the hospital, third man being hospitalized, they're being cared for at this hour. that weapon as you heard there was recovered on the scene it will be test today see if it can be tied to other crimes in the area. and also, for balistic testing, as women as for the injuries they're shots to the chest, stomach, arm. we're told this morning. live outside police headquarters justin finch cbs-3, "eyewitness news" erika, nicole? >> justin, thank you. meanwhile, philadelphia police need your help finding a suspect wanted in attempted sexual assault and home invasion in point breeze. take a look, the suspect here described as a thin, tall man in his 20's, 30's, redish brown hair. the attack happened in the 1700 block of south chadwick street yesterday morning. now, police say the victim was elderly woman. she did not suffer serious injuries. shocking surveillance video now of a teenager being shot outside after kensington store. you can actually see the

gunman, right up on a bike, there fire the shots then fall off his bike, before make that escape. this all happened around 11:00 yesterday morning, along the 2,000 block of east cambria street. the teenager is fighting for his life. police are looking for that shooter. >> police now say they believe foul play was involved in the disappearance of a drexel hill woman. twenty-five year old amanda degeo vanished from her neighborhood last june. she was two daughters ages three and five. police say an amanda, who has history every drug abuse and prostitution, left home with only her handbag and cell phone and may have been roaming the streets every kensington. her mother and sister want her back home. >> i need to bring her home. i need to at least have an answer for her children. and for her family. >> i think she is in very bad place. i think she is scared. but we just want her to know we love her very much and we're just concern for her safety and juan her to come

night on the 5400 block of media street. investigators have searched the home, meanwhile of andre as lubitz, the co-pilot of the plane that crashed into the albaladejo ups killing 150 people. he locked the pilot out of the cockpit and intentionally crashed that plane. >> bucks county mother faces several charges this morning after police say she faked having cancer after they began investigating her for child abuse. police say 26 year old ashley went as far as shaving her head to support her cancer claim. >> authorities began investigating her last july after her then 11 month old daughter was taken to chop with broken bones burns and bruises. charged with aggravated assault, child endangerment and other offenses. >> waking to up a loft rain this morning, what are the weather watching snake. >> definitely finding temperatures at least off to little bit of milder start erika. we take you around to couple of locations temperatures
