good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. well critics of the just agreed to framework of a deal to limit iran's nuclear deal say it doesn't go far enough. six world powers including the united states and iran agreed to the breakthrough deal following months of negotiations. the goal now is to have a comprehensive agreement by jeune 30th. president obama says it's implemented a deal that will make the world a safer place. >> if iran cheats the world will know it. if we see something suspicious, we will inspect it. iran's past efforts to weaponize this program will be addressed. they'll face more inspections than any other country in the world. >> the real threat is survival. he tweeted any deal must significantly roll back iran's capabilityies and stop its a

terrorism and aggression. >> good morning, anne-marie. it was a true all-nighter. secretary of state john kerry and he hageled through the deal and president obama signed off and oomz they called world leaders. >> united states together with our allies and partners has reached an historic understanding with iran. >> reporter: after hours of framing a teal to keep iran from nuclear weapons president obama then began trying to sell its plan to the skeptical ally prime minister of israel. betnetanyahu filed off tweets. >> if he's looking for the most effective way to ensure iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon this is the best option.

>> reporter: the framework calls for iran to decrease its number of nuclear sub ter fujs. their stockpiles would be neutralized. in return crippling economic sanctions would be lifted after iran is compliant. >> we now have guaranteed access access. if they don't provide it the sanctions come back. >> the president called leaders of both parties to keep them from passing new sanctions or demanding congressional approval of the deal. republican senator tom cotton of arkansas nins skeptical. the president will begin briefing white house leaders next week. it would require congressional review of any final deal which could still collapse the next three months as all the final technical details are filled in.

but we're i got to fight it out in court. >> reporter: velentzas's attorney had no comment. if convicted they will spend life in prison. this morning we're hearing more details about jet's deadly attack at a university in kenya. al shabaab says it's behind the attack. four masked gun menned kill 147 people singled out single christian women at a college. >> students were jolted away by the sound of gunfire as the gunmen shot their way past the university's main gate and stormed the dormitories. they tried indiscriminately at first before beginning a deadly march from room to room demanding to know if those inside were muslim or christian. some christians were shot on the spot. terrified students tried to

escape. >> we are hearing and seeing the gunshots but we're not seeing the people themselves that are shooting at us. >> reporter: some students were taken hostage, but it is unclear how many. and many remain unaccounted for, possibly trapped inside college buildings. at least 65 were rushed to the hospital mostly with gunshot wounds. the somali based group has claimed the attack. it's only 90 miles from the somali border. al shabaab's extremists have struck kenya before. one of the worst attacks was in 2013 when militants rampaged through the upscale westgate shopping mall. trapped shoppers were asked to cite verses from the koran. anyone who couldn't were executed. the attack left 67 dead. tonight they named this man in

after being lost at sea for 66 days, a sailor is back on dry land this morning. louis jordan's odyssey began in january when he left the south carolina marina and headed into the open waters of the atlantic. he was found along with his capsized sailboat thursday 200 miles from capethe cape. he spoke with his family for the first time in two months. >> hey, dad. >> hey, louis. i haven't heard you in so long. >> father and son made contact by phone shortly after louis jordan was able to walk into the hospital under his own power. >> we prayed and prayed and hoped you were still alive. >> i was just praying for you afraid you were crying and sad that i was dead and i wasn't dead. >> we were.

eccentric millionaire robert durst was in court thursday in new orleans. he faces weapons charges when a gun was found when he was arrested. he's confessed to that killing and two others in an hbo documentary. erin moriarty reports. >> reporter: robert duretst's arrest last month was cut and dry. the fbi suspecting he was about to leave the country made their move first. but that's not how his attorney dick deguerin sees it. >> it was not proper. they approached bob in the marriott hotel and he was under arrest from that point on. >> reporter: the defense describes this timeline. on march 14th at 3:00 in the

afternoon the fbi detained durst. at 6:00 p.m. agents began to search his room. a .38 caliber gun and a coat hangs in his closet and marijuana in his luggage was seized. yet it was only around 2:00 the next morning that authorities applied for a search warrant for his hotel room. not only that the defense claim they made a false arrest making it appear the gun and marijuana appear after the warrant was in hand. the attorney assisted the arrest was valid but when attorneys for durst called the fbi agents and state investigators to the stand, no one appeared. the magistrate judge postponed the hearing and ordered the u.s. attorney's office to either produce the witnesses or in contempt. burton wouldn't comment but
