5:04 am
kentucky and the tennessee or sorry the kentucky border here up in toward ohio. soap, that's where we've got the bulk of moisture right now. that's what's going to cross through before we can clear out. and say we're done with this storm. outside the board walk plaza rehoboth, spot where you actually may end up with stronger storms later today. so very dry right now mild for that matter, avenue feeling a loft people will be out and about enjoying the warmth while we've got t temperatures right now mid and upper 50's, most spots mount pocono, look at that warmer than it is in allentown doesn't happen often. 60 degrees at philadelphia international airport. it will feel pretty good to you when you walk out the door. but as the day goes on, not just showers but eventually some pocket of steadier rain, and yep couple of gusty thunderstorms can't be ruled out. i would same southeast most pa, southern new jersey, delaware, have the best shot for those thunderstorms to turn locally not just gusty but maybe even strong or locally severe. so possibility, it is a slim shot but it is a chance, to make you aware of that, meantime you need an umbrella today, bottom line.

vittoria? >> thank you so much katie. good morning everyone, if you are traveling right now, you will notice it is still very quiet, however, if you are traveling on 95, i would say that would be definitely a target spot for a little bit of activity, at least. you know, usually at this time, we never usually see much. but, it does seem to be right now that an accident situation has now occurred on 95, so if you are traveling southbound right around girard avenue. unless, this is the incident scene right here, compromising the left-hand lane. originally, i thought it was construction, because in the southbound side of 95 you do have construction right around girard avenue, narrowing things so, you will want to be mindful that you have this incident, then you have construction to watch out for. so if you are not going to get here for the next 20, 25 minutes, definitely be mindful after delay that's now starting to form, and considering we're moving toward rush hour, it is only going to get busier. so again southbound 95 incident here, right around girard avenue, on top of construction, so given yourself more time. ben franklin bridge, looking

basically the ohio river valley, extent g back to the central planes. that's been hot bed of very severe weather activity, as of late. couple of tornados, lot of winds, hail reports in recent days. let me start things off taking you out to the zoom on storm scan3 yes these storm sells are nasty looking south of i-95 there. all of that needs to cross our area before we can say we're wiping our hands clean of this storm system. so for now bulk of the moisture well off to the wells. right now really just finding hands full of showers at a very localized level here. but all of this is eventually going to move in, and we even have the potential for some localized severe weather later on today. so the afternoon early evening, would be the prime time for that. and it will be specially true for southeast most pennsylvania southern new jersey and in through delaware. now, we are primarily looking at this to be a gusty thunderstorm event with frequent lightning heavy downpours, almost definite with anything that fires up here. but, i have to tell you, there is at least a minor risk for
5:15 am
us to even see a brief tornado spin up. it is a chance, not guarantee but something that we do want to mention. current winds speeds out of the southwest here, as high right now even at 20 miles per hour, sustained winds, no less aren't even your gusts so starting to pick up already, so the breeze is noticeable, make sure to secure those loose objects. if you are out and about maybe raking leaves or something yesterday, and you left that stuff out it, could fly away on you. so make sure it is secure. we look ahead to tomorrow. systems out of herement temperatures take a hit quickly rebounds, easter sunday especially monday, looking pretty good. vittoria? >> that's what we like to see katie. good morning everyone. well right now not looking great on 95. we already had construction that set us back this morning now notice in one of the screens behind me, we have an accident situation. get outside just give you all of the details that we have for you. if you are traveling 95 southbound right at girard avenue notice, the left as well as center lane is being compromised by emergency teams now on scene of this crash. it does seem to be involving
5:16 am
this truck right here, if you are traveling trying to get into center city philadelphia, you will want to keep in mind that this will definitely continue to build a delay back in toward rush hour volume where we are already seeing possible delays starting to form around cottman as well as girard. so already around girard, because every construction, but with this accident here just going to continue to get more severe. give yourselves more time. mass transit doing great. erika? >> thank you vittoria. breaking news tops your headlines right now shooting outside north philadelphia house party sends two men to the hospital, one critically wounded, told the other is stable. this happened on the 2200 block of north park avenue, police have two men in custody. >> a fatal accident is under investigation in jenkintown, one person died after a car hit a pole at fisher and jen continue town roads. >> and phillies fans will run into tighter security at citizens bank park. starting this evening fans will walk through metal detectors before they get their tickets scanned. well, it looks like the third time is the charm for
