>> this is was is a college campus. now, whether the victims and college students are victims? as police try to figure that out, trying to determine how this happened and who pulled the trigger. >> philadelphia police secured the scene here in the 2300 block of north park street, and used flashlights to search for evidence. after a house party in north philadelphia ended in gunfire, friday morning. >> police heard gunshots around 1:30 and returned to the scene. investigators say there was

fight at party here. with 100 people, crammed into a small rowhouse. >> once the fight spilled into the streets the gunfire rang out. as police arrived they found two victims, party goers and more. >> they also saw a male, put a handgun on the sidewalk, and then attempt to flee from police there. was a struggle. individual actually tried to fight with police. police were able to subdue this male. >> twenty-four year old man and another man who was with him, were taken into custody. meantime, 19 year old man who was shot three times is in critical condition this morning. twenty-three year old man shot once in the arm is in stable condition. police are hoping witnesses and cameras in the area, will help close this case quickly. >> fortunately, there are police real time cameras and real time crime unit operational 24 hours a day did observe the shooting, so the shooter and part of the shooting is recorded by

philadelphia police cameras. >> reporter: and police are now interviewing witnesses close to a dozen of them after all. there were about 100 people at this party. now, this house just off temple university campus. we've reamed out to the university this morning. so far no comment. we're reporting live outside philadelphia police headquarters, january. >> january, couple every teenagers also recovering after they were shot in north philly it happened yesterday at 25th and jefferson streets at the time of the shooting the streets were filled with children enjoying a warm afternoon. >> i have children teenagers off for school this week, i was making sure they was all right. >> if i wasn't downtown, i went down to see, you know, with all of this shooting going on. >> the victims ages 14 and 19, are being treated for their injuries.

>> cause of the jenkintown crash under investigation. investigate underway this morning looking into allegations of hazing involving members of the st. joes' university's women's softball team. the school released statement reading in part, re median actions have already been taken to assure there is no disruption to the educational environment of any student who may be affected. the university adds, it is taking the matter very seriously and not discussed the allegations. >> 6:03. let's get your traffic and weather together. >> good morning happy friday, first and for most, everyone, we made it to the end of the week here. also the warmest day of the forecast. that's a bright spot. not going to be like yesterday was, seeing more cloud cover certainly wet weather on the way.

county. this is what is left of her home 500 block every vincent avenue, east vincent township, after flames broke out early this yours morning. good samaritan says the woman disable by the way was able to make it out of her chester county home and on to the porch. but with heavy fire, spread interesting side to side, he had to act quick to bring her to safety. >> flames were just coming all the way around the porch. i made several attemptments. i couldn't get up. finally just jumped through on my back and got her down off. really afraid for her. >> i notice he said he was afraid for her not for himself. incredibly selfless act there. and as you heard it, did take few tries to get her down off that porch. but this morning we are told, that woman is doing just fine. all because that far neighbor, ukee, err dismay. >> incredible, nicole, thank you. two alarm fire sweeps through apartment complex in west whiteland chester county. now this was the scene yesterday, at the winter brook amounts, on phoenixville pike. firefighters worked quickly

in the last couple of days. the last 24 hours all of the different storm reports coming in, from this section of the united states, we zero in on one spot, there are was in fact quite a bit of tornado activity since last night specifically, we take you couple of these reports, in jasper, last evening tornado touchdown, right around 8:20, and then, we also had numerous hail reports, that came in, this one specifically, from galena inch diameter hail size out that way. still severe weather potential across this zone today. when you get to the outskirts, though, that lighter shade of green means marginal lowest on the totem pole any weather categorization, while we could see stronger gusty storms, there is very minor chance even if the conditions are ripe, could even be brief tornado that spins up. that's absolutely not guarantee. so just something i want you to keep in the back of your head. real reason for concern we will let you know, don't worry about, that but this will be a ripe day for some storm activity for sure. 69 degrees our expected high

meantime with showers and more than anything later today, steady rain and those storms starting to ignite. gets better by this weekend vittoria. >> i love looking forward to something at least good news, because right now unfortunately, you're being flooded with traffic on 95, in either direction so let's address first what's behind me. northbound side of 95, make your way around girard avenue. dealing with a accident situation, it has been out here for quite a while addressing the vine street expressway, but headed out of south philly, out of center city, don't get on 95 right away. definitely good idea to man our your way toward delaware avenue if you are trying to get northbound, jump many back on at aramingo. you will bypass all the mess and save yourself the headache and even some gas. if this is where you are headed be mindful of that. here is the delay on the vine street expressway, lead to go that northbound 95 incident. soap again, hopping off at eighth street, good idea, right now, maneuvering through old city to get on delaware, because right now you're just going to be stuck here for quite a while. so again give yourself more

was a college house party. it is unsure at this moment right now however whether the victims or the suspect are college students. now, take a look at the video how it all went down overnight. officers on patrol, heard gunshots, near the 2200 block of north park avenue around 1:30 a.m. turns out police say, a fight had broken out inside that house party and spilled on to the street. that's when the shots rang out. when police arrived they found a 19 year old man shot three times. he's now in critical condition. they also discovered 23 year old man shot once in the arm. he's in stable condition this morning. meantime attempt willing to leave the scene police spotted a man punting gun on the ground. twenty-four year old tried to get away, struggled with officers during arrests. he was with another man and both are in custody this morning being questioned by police. for thely police, real time cast, a -- cameras operational 24 hours a day

under arrest charged with stealing airbags from cars. now, this is the suspect, 20 year old ricky sanchez. the major crimes auto squad says he's been involved in at least six thefts, of airbags in the northeast. those thefts occurred in september of 2014. now, police are investigating to determine if sanchez is the suspect behind a recent wave of airbag theft last month. mainly honda's acura's have been targeted. >> prosecutors say they're committed stopping home-grown extremists after the arrest of two women in new york. they apparently talked about recipes poor homemade bombs. nicole and asia are charged with plotting to build a homemade bomb, and use it for a boston marathon type attack. lawyer says she'll plead not guilty. >> prosecutors say a tablet computer found at the home of the germanwings co-pilot shows he spent time on line researchers suicide methods and cockpit door security weeks before the crash.

now, this is the first evidence andreas lubitz may have planned that crash. meanwhile, search teams have found the second black box from the plane and it shows lubitz repeatedly sped up the plane as it headed toward the ground and the mountains. 150 people were on board the plane when it crashed into the french alps late last month. no one survived. >> 6:33, let's get our traffic and weather together. katy? >> we want to check in with weather watchers, ukee, we start things off here. take a look at some of the area temperatures. pretty pleasant right now nice and comfortable start mid 50's, at minimum as we take a look around the region right nowment we start things off with a nice mild observation coming into us from ed connor, just got clouds out in chesterfield, sent into us within the last 15 minutes, balmy, he says, the moon behind a mist and the frogs are croaking apparently. so, good friday. starting off on nice mild note for us here for good friday. but eventually the wet weather will be moving in, which we'll discuss. and also of course passover, looks like there will be wet

weather out there for that, too. lou sent in just clouds, eagleville, right now 58 degrees though, this really just came in to us within the last minute. so nice mild start basically for everyone, but already got hint of moisture out there and that has led to some very light rain showers along i95 around the city. just us getting started my friends, as we zoom it out even one time. look at this slug of moisture. and this has actually been the same system responsible for numerous severe weather reports already. back through the central planes, and we actually have at least that possibility for stronger if not locally severe thunderstorms, later on today. so, we have since seen the storm prediction center put us into the marginal risk zone. in other words, it is the lowest risk of the five categories available. so that's at least something good. that comes out of this, if we have to deal with storms at all. heavy rain, strong gusts lightning are a concern. we have do have to watch for anything that might erupt and specially for the southern tear of our area, this is the concern spot. meanwhile, as the afternoon progresses, it looks as though

we will see pockets of steady heavy rain, kind of coming through again intermittently. so the whole day isn't a wash out. but if you're out for extended periods every time today not the worse idea to have some wet weather gear ready to go, vittoria? >> thank you probably not bad idea to put couple of smacks in the car because you're going to need them while sitting in rush hour, because we have some very high volume on both sides of 95. going to start first with a nice birds eye view of 95 northbound really paint the picture for you. so dealing with a accident northbound side of 95, approaching girard avenue. notice, police activity as well at the ramp, if you are traveling in this area, you will notice that people are squeezing on by, and about one and a half lanes. so, they are using that right-hand lane and the shoulder to squeeze by. looks like maybe partially the center lane, but just barely. southbound 95, gaper delay. rush hour traffic, residual traffic still lingering from earlier accident that we had at girard avenue. so in regard to that northbound accident, specifically, take a look at the vine street expressway. i would highly suggest if you

are traveling out of center city or south philadelphia, and you're trying to make it into the northeast use delaware avenue. don't even get on the vine. stay -- exit at eighth street. hop into old city. navigate your way to delaware avenue. shoot on 95 at aramingo, your best right now. the delays is only growing. speed censors at 12. ninety-five northbound delay is stemming back into south philly. as far as the rest of the majors, doing fairly well. we will continue to keep you updated on that. no delays for mass transit. >> thank you unique crime fighting tool is helping camden be safer. we first told but the shot spotter technology, well, police aren't using it. as "eyewitness news" reporter natasha brown shows you the city of camden now says the tool is making a dramatic difference. >> you can hear six rounds fired. >> reporter: the sounds every gunfire in the sit i have of camden is not uncommon in crime ridden areas. what's becoming more common the speed at which officers can respond to shots fired. >> it will give us a pinpoint

no doubt, a long 66 days stranded at sea for him but also, for his family. this morning we're hearing the conversation he had with his father, shortly after he was rescued. listen. >> i was afraid that you guys were crying, and sad that, you know, i was dead. i wasn't dead. i wanted you dice -- >> ya, we were, i thought i lost you. >> right now you're looking at video of the coast guard pulling him to safety. turns out the crew aboard german container ship discovered his boat about 200 miles off the coast of north carolina he described the moment his boat capsized back in january. he says he was woken up by all of the commotion. >> the whole boat had turned around, and i was flying through the air somer salting, and the ceiling was the floor and the floor was the ceiling, and this side was the other side and everything was upside down and backward. i was just rolling around with all of the things, all of the object, all of my possessions. >> now, after he was unable to get work at a marina, jordan

says he took to living on the river, but admits he's not an experienced sailor again his disappearance reported more than two months ago. at that time they notified coast from new jersey to miami to be on the look-out for this guy. physically he's okay, but mentally had to be really tough. >> all alone 66 days, having to live off raw fish? >> something tells me book and/or movie is on the way. >> real life cast away. >> i admire a man who does his own laundry on board -- i mean? >> or even at home, hey, all right. >> that too, we'll take it. >> welcome home. my goodness. >> right now, 43:00, we want to get over and get our forecast for the day and grab the umbrella? >> specially if you plan to be out later in the day looks as though we end up with heaviest of the rain headed our way. but right now you know, things are actually off to an okay start. couple hit and miss showers already rolled on through philadelphia, for example, we start things off with quick check here in the live neighborhood network. you can see little glimmer of sunlight, that's about the

best you can hope for here today. generally talking cloudy skies, mild start though because of those clouds, and out in the kutztown area middle school and everywhere else sort of waiting for the wet weather to arrive. yes, quite big slug of it waiting off in the distance there, eventually headed our way. not too much out there to track, but eventually when the heavier moisture gets in here specially through southern tear of the area heavy rain to dodge. and then it will come through in pockets. soap, it is intermittent to a degree. but, i tell you what, if you get stuck under one of these pockets, you're going get doused. so don't take the chance. then we see the cold front actually start to cross this evening, look at that, not just heavy rain but frequent lightning, very gusty wind, and there is a possibility that these storms could turn locally severe. so we have to keep an eye on that, certainly let you know how things evolve. in the meantime, come saturday morning, there will still be wet weather in the area, but things are generally starting to clear out and cool down. but still going to notice the wind by this point shifting

back out of the northwest and easter sunday overall still looking pretty good with some sun and high of 60. i'll sure take it. vittoria? >> me too. hands up if you'll take it. hands up, everybody raise their hand. good morning everyone. well, right now i wish i had some good news to follow katie's great forecast. but right now if you are traveling on 95, both northbound and southbound, we're dealing with some pretty high volume. southbound you're just delayed, because of rush hour traffic. and then residual traffic that was lingering from earlier accident that we had at about 5:30 or so. so traveling on the southbound side of 95, see slow downs around cottman, catch bit of a break. and then approaching allegheny down through to the vine pretty saturated. northbound 95, also lingering traffic out of penn's landing through to the vine street expressway. notice, around girard, it is starting to break or allegheny rather but if you are traveling on the vine street expressway, still dealing with high volume from about eighth street, to 95, because of the 95 delay. so just keep that in mind. if you are traveling on the schuylkill expressway, there it is, both sides of 76, not
