outages were related to an explosion at a power plant on the outskirts of the d.c. jury deliberations are underway in the federal death penalty trial of the accused boston marathon bomber dzhokhar tsarnaev. cbs news reporter chris van cleve is in boston with the latest. >> reporter: jurors are deciding whether take hashing tsarnaev is guilty for 2013 bombings in the boston marathon and violence that follow. on monday prosecutors finished closing arguments telling the jury of five men and seven women that tsarnaev and his older brother tamerlan a attack was a cold calculated terrorist act. that was intentional and blood thirsty and was to make a point and tell america that we will not be terrorized by you anymore, we will terrorize you. tsarnaev's attorney judy clark continued with the theme dzhokhar participated but tamerlan was the driving force. the the the one who planned the attack. bought the materials and made the bombs. if tsarnaev is found guilty the jurors will hear a second round of testimony before deciding on a sentence, 17 of

those allegations came to light earlier this month at the the university, they have said they are taking matter very seriously but not yet discussed details of the alleged hazing this week the on line campus newspaper posted a statement from the softball team that statement read in part we live, eat and breeze sju softball we love our school we are devastated by allegations and resulting reports that have come about in recent weeks. we will respect the investigation and officials involved and cannot address specific allegations at this time. drexel university is investigating one of its law professors, the university says professor lisa mche will roy e mailed students a link to pornographic video last week. drexel issued a statement saying drexel has been made aware of an e-mail will that a professor sent to a class of law students that erroneously included a link inappropriate material. the university takes this allegation seriously and is investigating the matter. the the professor a

contestant who wants to be a millionaire, teaches legal writings and methods. she's none for her writing on the supreme court and has written several children's books. rutgers university bans all fraternity and sorority house parties, for the rest of the spring semester. this follows several alcohol related problems this school year including the the death of the student. this ban only applies to rutgers new brunswick campus. we check with rutgers camden and told us it does not have any fraternity or sorority owned houses. well, what was once considered a savior for a failing atlantic city was finally and officially sold today for pennies on the dollars. revel who tell and casino was a shining star of the sky line down the the shore but quickly became a falling star that money problems that just never went away. let look back at the brief history of the revel hotel and casino. it opened in grand style on may 25th of 2012. but the revel wasn't quite finished the at the the time.

its opulent accommodations, restaurants and stores stood in contrast to areas still under construction. two years later september of 2014 having never turn a profit, the revel then closed its doors. it went to auction, there were four failed bid but finally today revel sold for 82 million-dollar. our new jersey reporter cleve bryan is joining us live in ac, he talk with the new owner today and got a look inside the revel, he has this television exclusive now, cleve. >> reporter: chris, i took about an hour long tour inside the revel, with that new owner glenn straub. he says some portions of the building could be opened within two months. he told me several times he is very eager to get people here, back to work new owner of the shuttered revel casino glenn straub is still trying to learn his way around the huge property which he is finding is full of surprises.

well, a sure sign of spring is in center city philadelphia today. a annual cherry blossom festival kick off this morning at liberty place. you can see these kid dressed in their dress, they sang japanese songs, there was a sushi demonstration as well. sound like a great event. cherry blossom festival now in the 18th year celebrating japanese culture. >> that makes it feel like spring when you see cherry blossoms. >> last year i remember being out there thinking there aren't that many blossoms but

argument between two men in north philadelphia led to gunfire. take a look at scene just a afternoon at intersection of north 12th and nevada streets. police say victim here was shot in the groin but is expected to survive. the gun man is still at large. a murder investigation is underway in norristown montgomery county tonight. police say that two men were exchanging gunfire at locust and basin streets when at least one man was hit. police say that a woman drove that man to plymouth township where she flagged down police for help. that man did later die at a hospital. the other gunman remains on the loose tonight. this man is wanted by police in philadelphia for several items for a business on south street on monday. that man was first seen on surveillance video looking in the store's window. he then went inside after notice ago this no one was there and then walked out ten minutes later. police say man took off with the lap top and a few tablets as well. if you recognize him you are
