are new developments in the police shooting of an unarmed man in south carolina investigators are looking at dash cam video to shed more light on exactly what happened. >> they are looking into prior complaints of the excessive force. omar villafranca has latest from, north charleston. >> reporter: witness who recordedded a south carolina police officer shooting an an armed man spoke out for the the first time in an interview with nbc news. >> i remember police had control of the situation. he had conn troll of scott. scott was just trying to get away from the taser. >> reporter: cell video begin as walter scott attempt to flee and shows police officer michael slager firing eight times. it shows slager dropping something next to the victim's body. slager is now charged with murder. record show the officer, a coastguard veteran had two other complaints during his five years on the force. one was a 2013 complaint filed by three three-year old mario

2001 from lenape high school. she says even as shooting incident happened far away it hits close to home. >> it is just sad. his family has to go through a lot of pain for something that shouldn't happen. >> reporter: thumbing through her lenape high school year book christie remembers sitting in class with michael slager. >> i was weak in a subject he would be right there to help me. never would have thought that he had, any violence or toward anyone. >> reporter: he says slager was quiet the a and in the in the least intimidating. >> i get very small build so i was shocked to see how broad he was. >> reporter: video showing slager a white officer shooting an unarmed black man in the back has sent a shock wave through lenape circles. it upset her many are questioning if he had a racist upbringing. >> i mean i don't really think his upbringing was brought up, racist, as i said, lenaim was a really good school,

everybody got along. there was no you have to be here, you cannot join in. >> reporter: dillon barlow lives a few houses down from where slager spent his teenage years in mount laurel. he is a a recent graduate and find closeness to home at officer involve shooting disturbing. >> i just think it is crazy. i saw the the video. it is just, i don't know it seems like i don't even know it blows my mind. >> reporter: i reached out to the lenape regional high school school district to find out what more we can learn about michael slager. we didn't hear back from them. certainly when students and staff get back something to talk b live from medford township i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 eyewitness muse. chester county bus driver ace rested for leaving a child on that bus all day. authorities tell us that 66 year-old he pick up a seven year-old girl at her home to take her to school. she was only passenger on that van but she never made to it

school. investigators say roseland drove past the school and park the van at the bus lot. when that girl failed to show up for class the school called her mom who notified them that had daughter had gotten on that van. now that little will girl was still strapped in her seat nearly six hours later. when officials found her. the roseland was fired from the bus company. police say speed and alcohol were likely factors in the deadly crash in bucks county this morning. the accident happened at the mechanics villain street roadness bensalem. police say that the driver, 30 year-old brian was trying to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his red mustang and slammed in the utility pole. mechanicsville road was shut down for hours but has been since reopened. well, federal prosecutors want a philadelphia woman behind bars until she goes on trial. that woman keonna thomas was arrested last week and accused of trying to join the terror group known as isis. today a judge heard arguments from both sides in this case. cbs-3 reporter todd quinones

bars, through her trial. reporting live tonight from the federal courthouse, todd quinones, for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> todd, thank you for that. justice department has now charged this madison wisconsin man with attempting to provide material support to isis. criminal complaint says 34 year-old joshua van, he was return to the u.s. on wednesday evening by turkish authorities and handed over to the fbi at chicago's o'hare airport. a new investigation of airport security found that hundreds of intruders had slipped past security and some cases gaining access to planes. in the past decade there have been 268 airport perimeter breaches and this includes intruders hopping fences slipping past guards and then crashing cars right through airport fences. the associated press which conduct this investigation said that in of these incident were terrorism related. now philadelphia had the second highest number of airport perimeter breaches after san francisco.
