"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch live at southwest detectives this morning with much more on this, justin, good morning. >> reporter: diana ukee, good morning, as that son recovers, maryland police working with philadelphia police to bring his mother back to the city, to face a hearing and possible charges. forty-one year old nia paul is her expected to face a list of charges, including assault kidnapping, false imprison. neglect, unlawful restraint. she is accused of leaving her 21 year old quadraplegic son for five days in a cobbs creek park. he was helpless for days in those element there he was

found by a passerby on a friday night. now, police say it was in the baltimore maryland area visiting her area, and tips helped police find her thereon friday. now, at last check she was in a hospital in the maryland area being treated for undisclosed illness. her son was taken to chop hospital, for treatment of dehydration, malnutrition, a cut to his back and several vision injuries with his family now by his side, police say, he's in better care than he was before. take a listen. >> see the kid laying, there it is heart break to go see another human specially mother can treat someone like that when you have all of the opportunities in the world to turn that kid over to your family members who wanted to care for him. >> and back out live, police say that the son's school did check in with his mother to see where he was if he was okay. she told the school all was well, in this case, his family concerned, and now by his side. it is unclear when she will be back in philadelphia, but she is due here soon to face charges and that hearing.

we are live at southwest detective, justin finch cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> all right justin, thank you. happening today suspect in the violent abduction after woman in jewelers row section of the center city will be arraigned in south carolina. a judge will then decide whether 31 year old tiere gay will be ex at the diet dollars back to philadelphia. fell rad signatures arrested gay on friday at a hotel. earlier this month, three men grabbed 53 year old woman from parking garage, dragged her into a burgundy van you see it there then beat, round her and used a taser in a attack that lasted for hours. she was eventually found in a darby township septarian hospitalized. time now 43:43, traffic and weather together. pretty nice monday, katie. >> it is looking like it ukee yes. so basically just going to say the hits keep rolling here today. it is a little bit warmer than it was yesterday. how could you beat yesterday? nothing but sunshine and perfectly blue skies. we are seeing few more clouds

start things off with quick view generally we actually still have high pressure on your side. finding few little blips on the rare. do not worry about it. not expecting rain today. couple of extra clouds, all we are really finding out there at this point. again, high pressure is the story. it will stay that way for us at least for one more day. a lot of activity when you zoom it out one more time here. solid line of heavy thunderstorms rumbling on through portions of missouri, central planes in general some very heavy rain, as well. down across the southeastern united state, that's really where it is at with the stormy wet they are week, the southeast, but we do ends up with some of our own wet weather. let's walk through that, too. let's take you here day-by-day. starting things off with nice mild note. little breezy through the day, overall, really nice. enjoy it. then we track this next cold front, and tomorrow could be pretty soggy day especially early on. have an umbrella, trust me on that one in fact, if this rain comes in heavily enough, we may end up having minor flooding issues even tomorrow morning. that will will be something

>> one big retailers are under investigation. >> joining us from the new york stock exchange, jill, what's this investigation all about? >> well, good morning ukee, diane a target gap and j crew are just three big retailers that are now under investigation. by new york's attorney general. so at issue whether they are breaking new york state law by requiring hourly workers to remain on call for ships with little notice then not paying them if they're not needed. worker advocates says it gives workers too little time foray range for other work or for family needs. ukee diane.

4:53, good morning. >> good morning, waking up no problems as far as the weather goes, good news for the travel. dealing with typical morning construction on area roadways. we first start you off girard taillights here, southbound, both directions, northbound, are looking good this morning. again, no weather delays to record. we take to you new jersey, 42 freeway northbound, head lights moving good this morning, no backups as of yet. volume slowly increasing. burlington new jersey route 130 closed at high street due to an accident. the alternate is old york road. pennsylvania turnpike, eastbound, between bensalem and street road, right lane closed, due to some construction, we have more obstruction going on the delaware memorial bridge, taking out the left lane headed from the toll plaza up through mid-span. ninety-five northbound, off ramp to cottman avenue closed until 5:00 o'clock. let's check what's happening on the roads take it to the skies. good morning.

on that plus rain on the way full details straight ahead. justin? >> something to look forward tonight nice day today. that will will help things out on the road, 76 at 202 no problems right now but dealing with typical morning construction, few lane and road closures, we'll get to the details coming up in a few minutes, ukee? >> justin, thanks so much. more on breaking news now, two hour barricade situation in west philly is over. after man surrenders to police. it happened at 48th and parish in mill creek. woman told police a man sexually assaulted her threatened her with a gun, and took $20 from her purse. he eventually surrendered around 4:00 this morning police are now questioning him. they say no one was hurt. also breaking, a house fire in west mt. airy this morning, "eyewitness news" on the scene along the 100 block of west sharpnack street. the fire broke out around 3:30 this morning, it was quickly placed under control. there is no report of any injuries. the cause of that fire is still under investigation.
