really giant umbrellas so, i think like five people can fit under here. specially across the southern tear of area, that's where you want to have the umbrella ready to go, for the better part of the day. we take you back outside actually no wet weather currently, in delaware, new jersey, it is obviously on the way. and we are starting to see it, encroach into the north and west most suburbs so, just matter of time, and of corpse, it is coming with poor timing, in time for our typical morning commute here. but the thing is, once this sort of clears out of the lehigh valley poconos even in philadelphia, we will be done with it, but it doesn't clear out for the better part of the day in southern new jersey and delaware, that's why i say those are location that is specially you want to have the rain gear ready to go. meanwhile temperatures a lot mild they are morning. we've eaked out 20 plus degrees of surplus in millville, atlantic city since this same time yesterday. so, while yesterday was actually not terrible, look where we start off here, 58 degrees in atlantic city,

ukee, back to you. >> thank you so much. we are following developing story. one child is dead. no fighting for his life, the first hit-and-run happened in southwest philly. then half hour later another one in kensington, "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us at the first scene in southwest philly with the latest jan? police back out here on scene 1600 block every south 57th street in southwest philadelphia looking for any evidence they can to help track down this hit-and-run driver. they are still looking for this driver and another driver responsible for two separate hit and runs in philadelphia last night. but, in this case, the southwest philadelphia case, police already have a huge clue. take a look. they want you to take a look at this surveillance video capturing the terrible moment, an s.u.v. hit a child here in southwest philadelphia, we have pause that video before impact. but police again want you to take a good look at the vehicle in falls. it is a black suv that police

say fled north on 57th street. the four year old boy who was hit died after he was taken to children's hospital. police say he was cross crossing the busy street by himself. late another evening in kensington, another hit-and-run involving a child there is time, police say a young mother was caring her two year old in a carseat across the 2700 block of mascher street when both were hit. police found pieces of the striking vehicle's headlight on scene there surveillance cameras were rolling too as witnesses stood by. take a listen. >> from witnesses we have pretty good description of the vehicle. they believe it has been a 2014, new err model nissan. four door, white in color. and after striking the mother and son on mascher street, the vehicle then made a right turn and was last seen west on lehigh avenue. >> now, the mother and child in this case were both taken to the hospital, and last list in the critical condition. police tell us, however, that the mother is expected to survive, no update on that two

year old boy's condition this morning, in the meantime anyone with any information about either of these cases is asked to call philadelphia police. we are reporting live in southwest philadelphia, this morning, jan carabeo cbs-3 "eyewitness news". thank you jan. also new this morning philadelphia police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in the thigh in north philadelphia. detectives found more than dozen shell casings on the scene at north 22nd street in west susquehanna avenue. officers rushed the victim to the hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. and just few blocks away from that scene a 56 year old man is stabbed several times in the back, and face, and he's currently recovering at the hospital and police are still searching for the attacker. >> more chaos in colwyn. contentious council meeting ends with the outspoken manager of the delaware county borough voted out of a job again. as "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones tells you, that was just the beginning of the.

one council person. >> brown locked herself in her offers, saying she needed pro protect documents, and document of financial discrepancies, some of which are now in the hands of detective as part of ongoing investigation. the borough currently is a $1.1 million financial hole. monday night the locks on borough hall were changed so brown could not go back in. brown calls the choice to eliminate her position political. she says is that she's a whistle blower but her opponents deny. that will reporting in colwyn, delaware county, todd quinones cbs-3, "eyewitness news". well, philadelphia police meantime have now located the van used to kidnap a jewelry store worker. victims take friend chestnut street parking garage on april 4th. she was beaten, tazed and robbed, and waiving extradition from south carolina court document say surveillance video shows him in the store where the victim worked. police say they are searching for other suspect at this point, the total reward in this case now stands at

we take you to the blue route. southbound at ridge pike, both directions headlights southbound looking good both ways. rain won't start to move in from the west later on as we just showed you on storm scan3. ben franklin bridge, again inbound and out bound, no problems this morning yet. but again early in the game, bridge construction on the vine street expressway, we're reopened now. eastbound, but tomorrow, westbound will be closed, from broad street to the schuylkill expressway. so the alternate you have to get off broad if heading west, go to 15th to jfk then to 30th to get back onto 76. so a lot going on with that long-term bridge construction. eastbound on the pa turnpike between ft. washington and willow grove two, lanes blocked due to construction, no reported delays on mass transit. >> a volunteer sheriff deputy fatally, is expected to turn himself in today. prosecutors charge bob bathes with manslaughter yesterday. the 73 year old shot and killed eric harris during a undercover operation saying he

accidentally grabbed his gun instead of his taser. the victim's family members say they were disturbed by how other deputies on the scene treated harris' life as if it had no value. >> now to controversial police shooting in south carolina newspaper audio has emerged recorded just minute after former police officer michael slager fatally shot unarmed black man. >> first voice from police supervisor advising slayinger what to do now. accused of faithly shooting walter scott who was running from a traffic stop. slager was fired last week and remains behind bars charged with murder. >> a south carolina man has filed a lawsuit saying officer michael slager tazed him after a traffic stop. julius wilson says he was pull over back in august, for broken tail light. the officer told him he was under arrest, for a suspended south carolina drivers

>> jury selection could wrap up today in the lawyers have spent the last few months narrowing down the pool of 9,000 possible jurors for james holmes murder trial. accused of opening fire in a crowded theatre in 2012 killing 12 people, injuring 70 more. holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason every insanity. running back laurence films could face murder charges after cell mate found dead in a california prison. already serving 31 year sentence for several violent crimes. his cell mate was found dead saturday morning. phillips was once one of the top college football players in the country. but his nfl career was cut short by his legal problems. one man learned the hard way not to fall asleep on the job, especially important when you are baggage handler at an airport.
