doubt on prosecutor's conclusion that their parents died in a murder/suicide. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan is in camden with the details cleve. >> reporter: former cooper ceo john cher done was known as an advocate for help here in camden and now his family is fighting allegations that he was a murderer. the it began last september in the faith willal arson investigation in the somerset county home of cooper health ceo john sheridan and his wife joyce. now is there a bitter debate over how the couple really died. >> mark sheridan, one of john and joyce's four sons sent a letter monday to the somerset county prosecutor's office. he claims they botched his parent's investigation saying your office set out to prove premature conclusion of the investigators. >> they never conducted even or performed even the basics of an investigation. all they did was try to prove that this was a murder/suicide. >> reporter: last month in a seven page release the prosecutor's office described stab wound to the sheridan's

body a and concluded john sheridan killed joyed sheridan and there have after committed suicide. mark and his brothers hired doctor michael bod tone do an autopsy. he found john sheridan's a wound were not self inflict and knife to kill him was missing. shark sheridan says it is possible both of his parents were murder victims. >> i wish i had some answer for alternative toss what happened to my parents. if i had had conduct this investigation i believe i would have had them. >> reporter: somerset the county prosecutor's office said they stand by their investigation and won't comment further because of the pending lawsuit. sheridans are suing to have their father's death certificate changed so it does not say he killed himself. >> i had a huge amount of faith in the the system. i can tell you i no longer have that faith in the system. >> reporter: mark sheridan says his family is putting together a $250,000 reward for information that lead to the conviction of the person or persons that really killed his parents. live from camden, i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness

don't know what will happen. someone could get killed. >> we don't think it is funny. when we do find this person we will charge them. it is putting everyone at risk here. >> reporter: both swatting hoax are currently being investigate now arrests have been made. callers can hide their identities by using the the internet. in washington township, new jersey, todd quinones for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". well, philadelphia police now say they have found a van that was used to kidnap that jewelry store worker in center city philadelphia we know that victim was taken from a chestnut street parking garage back on april 4th, beat, hit with the taser and robbed are. one suspect in this crime khiry gay has waved his extradition from south carolina. court document say that surveillance video shows him in the store where the victim worked. police say they are looking for other suspects tonight. the total reward in that case is up to $20,000.

pretty dramatic scene in the delaware river as a large cargo ship runs a ground. the ship called the the nord explorer got stuck in the mouth of the rancocas creek in riverside, new jersey around 5:00 this morning. the boat was eventually freed by the coastguard. officials say they are investigating what cause that had ship to run a ground. it is the the second ship to get stranded on the delaware river this month. on april 1st this cargo ship was stranded near the burlington bristol bridge. it was headed south on the delaware when it lost power but it was also freed by the coastguard. both ships became stuck after making a cargo drop. a startling revelation

from actress rita wilson, wife of the anchor tom hanks has been diagnosed with breast cancer. wilson told people magazine she underwent bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction last week. wilson is expect to make a full recovery because the cancer was caught early and she got a second opinion. she also says her husband was at the her side through all of it. we will have have much more coming up later on our broadcast. on the healthwatch acetaminophen is one of those popular pain relievers in america but new study has discovered a new side effect. ohio state university researchers found acetaminophen in the only dulls your pain it reduces your positive emotional response. researchers had participant in the study view pleasant and disturbing photos after taking the drug and those had taken acetaminophen did not react as strongry to those photos as those given a placebo. >> but we know pain is not at local phenomenon. if you have pain in your knee

reserve deputy in oklahoma who was captured on camera fatally shooting a man in custody turned himself into bay. thirty-seven year-old robert bates has been charged with second degree manslaughter. he was working with tulsa police when they apprehended a suspect during a weapons sting operation. bates reached for what he said he he thought was his taser but wound up firing a gun at the the man instead. suspect died at the hospital. family members say the way he was treated is what disturbs them the most. >> he is hollering out the for help and there is no aid. you see the blood running out of his side. >> document show that bates who again was a volunteer has been a long time supporter of

today governor chris christie proposed an overhaul of social security benefits. during a speech in new hampshire the new jersey governor shared his plan which includes a income limit for benefits. governor wants to reduce payments for retired seniors making more than $80,000 and for individual, making at least $200,000. >> we really believe that well paid americans need to take from younger, heart working americans, to receive for what most of them is a modest inly social security check? i say no. >> reporter: governor christie is proposing the same concept for medicare, the governor also says he plans to raise the retirement age to 69. meanwhile 69 percent of new jersey voters say governor christie would not make a good president. this is according to a new rutgers, eagleton poll 24 percent, say they think he has what it takes, and
