this week this happened in the 2900 block of masher street. though were crossing the the street when they were both hit by this white four door acura or infinity. young mother desperately tried to get the in the way and pull her child out of the the way before he was hit. both were critically injured. she was released from the hospital earlier this week and is recovering but has to deal with the death of her son. family spokesperson addressed reporters yesterday and pleaded for information about the car and its driver. >> just so tragic and so hard to see a two-year old injured in such a significant way. any piece of information makes a difference to us. >> reporter: again, the driver of the southwest philadelphia deadly hit and run still has not turn herself into police but authorities have been in contact with her attorney. they are closer in that case to coming to a conclusion then in the kensington hit and run case. there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the driver in the kensington case,
