"eyewitness news" reporter jane carabao joins us from plumstead township with the very latest information on this good morning. >> reporter: erika and ukee, good morning. fire officials have confirmed for "eyewitness news" this morning that the big house fire that happened here, overnight, has turned deadly, a 58 year-old man lives a at home a alone by himself in one else with him has died. now that scene has been since cleared but the investigation continues. if you take a look the at a

the video you can see the video we shot not too long ago, chopper three over this scene last night as the fire burned out of control. the the flames broke out at 6400 block of point pleasant pike at 7:00 last night. they found heavy fire in the back of the home. there was even a partial collapse there eventually. the it took dozens of fire fighters an hours to knock the the flames down and took all night to extinguish the the fire and clean up the the scene. again, one man, 58 didn't make it out. they found victim as they sifted through ruble overnight. he was fun on the first floor. fire officials say the the house was cluttered which makes fighting the fire even more difficult. >> it was a lot of difficulty, there was a lot of material inside the house had a lot of things in the house. so, there was a tremendous head start for the fire. we had to work aggressive liz to get ahead of the fire. >> the the fire chief wouldn't

call this a hording case but he says it comes very close a at this point, no identification of the victim and no cause of the fire, of course, this is still ongoing this morning. we will bring you updates as soon as we have it the but for now we are live from plumstead, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". jan, thank you. fire has damaged a home in philadelphia's olney neighborhood. fire filedders responded to the flames of the 4400 block of north 13th street. that fire was under control in 15 minutes no one was hurt but the fire damaged the second floor. meanwhile four people, including three children are recovering after they were struck by a pickup truck this happened in woodbury heights new jersey. chopper three over the scene here shortly after the accident last night on the 400 block of chestnut the avenue. it is not men if the driver suffered any injuries or if any charges will be filed in this case. also, two philadelphia police officers are out of the hospital after another driver, ran their car in ogontz.

this is happening on east front street in florence township burlington county. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us where engineers are expected to survey that area later today. justin, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning. homeowners, have been watching this problem develop for years. land underneath their homes here literal willly crumbling and falling into the delaware. you cannot tell from the front but the the problem is way out back there and it has gotten worse in the past few months. lets show you video now. yard's condition neighbors say has worsen in the past two weeks. there are two hems here roughly 10-yard. these homes on the 500 block of east front street in florence township. homeowners say in recent months these recent heavy rains and snow have worsen the the problem here, loosening that soil and cause ago this dramatic drop that we saw just yesterday. homeowners say they have reach out to the township and the response that they say they

justice department is looking in the death of freddie gray. >> gray died of spinal injuries in the custody of the the baltimore police and at rest was captured last week. "eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer joins us now with more on the investigation, nicole. >> reporter: justice department has launched that

investigation to determine if any civil rights were violated in this case. meanwhile hundreds are taking to the streets of baltimore just to protest the the 25 year-old's mysterious death. there was a lot of raw emotion on tuesday as gray's family join community leaders and also demonstrators in the rally at the at where gray was a arrested april 12th. police say he and another man ran from officers when they approach them and video obtain by cbs baltimore station shows gray being carried in a van and then rehave moved and shackled. at the end of the 30 minute ride he was rush to the hospital and one week later died of significant spinal injury. police say they dent know what happened but protesters want the six office are involved to face charges. >> i want murder for all six of them because there was no history or record of him having any spinal injuries all six police officers can't say what happened, the mayor has acknowledged in the press that he called for immediate medical attention and no one
