7:16 am
reports of injuries, so, that is some good news out there but, certainly very, very wild weather across the country, and just so dangerous, carol? >> you know, really is, spring time is never great. because you get the clash of these air masses, and you end up getting this extremely violent weather, a lot through the center of the country also through some of the southern states. we on the other hand complained about few clouds, well okay. i complain about few clouds. we shouldn't though. we should keep a lot of perspective going all the time. it is melting. slowly. jack frost big boulder they build it up. people come here. they ski. and then they watch it all go away. and then move onto other pursuits during the summer. but you can see the ski slope is starting to look more like maybe the boardwalk. and people are out all dressed in black, ski jackets pants temperatures in the 40's, it is a day that you probably will be dressed at least to start the day in a jacket. because it is cool out there. you can see, it is also pretty cloudy out there. we have temperature of
7:17 am
46 degrees, as we look from new jersey, all the way across the delaware, to the city of philadelphia, with the clouds overhead. it won't be this cloudy all day long. these clouds will be moving out. you can see, they are thinking about pulling away. there is a low pressure system near north carolina it will move out to sea. that will take some of these clouds with it, so, this afternoon, while it won't be probably full sunshine, at least we will be finding variably cloudy skies. it is brighter to the north that's the areas of the chillier temperatures, too because. clear skies. thirty-eight in allentown, 34 in the poconos, start to warm up with the clouds, though, 44 in trenton, 49 in philadelphia, 45 in wilmington. in the 40's every place to the south of that. then we head to the north and find 41 degrees temperature in quakertown, 43 willow grove. forty-two pottstown. and beautiful mt. holly county seat of burlington county, is at 45 degrees. today, we will be finding fairly decent weather. if you liked it yesterday, i think you will probably like today. a little bit more.
7:18 am
at least weather wise. temperatures should be getting back out here, you can see the s there the 60s not 60. yesterday we didn't even hit 60. we hit 58 degrees. today we should be just about 64 degrees or so. partly sunny skies tomorrow, we are into the lower 60s again, with few more clouds possibly and maybe even shower chance, as we move on through the afternoon hours on monday, then, by the time we get to tuesday i think we get some sunshine around here, these temperatures will boost as a result, high pressure building in, and we find on our future weather, it is doing a stellar job. i always say this, when it starts right it, has better chance every ending right. and it is sam bling the atmosphere appropriately. we are finding clouds, in these locations. as we hit this afternoon we find sun clouds, by 6:00 we've got few little clouds, and this computer model says a sprinkle to the north. maybe that happens. maybe that doesn't. but doesn't look like a big deal in any case whatever it is. by monday afternoon, few
7:19 am
clouds around here. by the time we get to tuesday looking at pretty nice conditions t may be breezy on tuesday, but the temperatures will be warm. and you may be sneezing, because we do have some pollen out there. and it is oak, birch and maple over the next few days, they are the ones over performing in the political edge region. 60 degrees if you are going to the ballgame this afternoon at citizens bank park. phillies against atlanta. sixty-four philadelphia, 58 at the shore, 58 in the poconos today. not a bad day. not all that windy either. we find the winds coming out of the north between five to 10 miles per hour. tonight dropping down to 45 degrees pretty much finding ourselves this morning. over the next few days, cooler on monday at 62, chance of shower in the afternoon. tuesday and wednesday look pretty nice with temperatures close to the 07-degree mark. thursday will there and shower in we will continue to monitor that day. then that far it looks like it is pretty nice around here neck weekends at this point looks terrific, nicole? >> carol, thank you. 7:19. time to see how traffic is moving out there. ann evans joins us now good morning, ann.
7:20 am

7:21 am
plant material coated with thc. that's the active chemical compounds in marijuana. but unlike pure marijuana the man-made version much more potent and can be deadly. >> our warning, don't try any of this stuff, even the marijuana you buy in the street, do you not if it is laced with any of the synthetic products. >> officials in the lehigh valley announced last week, dozens have been treated for adverse reactions to that drug. there have been eight suspected overdose deaths in lehigh county since april 16th. we're going to take a short break. we'll be right

we've got doctor jerry geffin there at paw's spay neuter and wellness clinic, doing spaying and neutering and getting these dogs very, very adoptable exactly what with what we want, miss mavis we won't play with my hand. a loft questions. a lot of people think and they are wrong i think you will agree every dog should have their first litter, they'll be healthier. that's old-fashioned wrong thinking. correct? >> very old-fashioned. that was old fashion when the i first came out of school. so you can imagine. >> no benefit to having a pet have a litter first before being spade. you want to have them spade when they're about six months every age that's going to prevent breast cancer, won't get uterine infections, even for males, as well, six months good time to neuter them. >> okay, so first litter thing we have too many pets as it is, nobody needs to have late. we need to spay and neuter for their health and the health of the animal population.
7:25 am
>> 100% @ agree. >> raw food diet. is that healthy for pets? >> you can't help what people have in their heads what they think is right but i think science would show that raw food only leads to problems with you can have pieces of bone in there that will chip the teeth perforate the intestines, and have bacteria, can get salmonella, parasites in uncooked food. if you wouldn't eat it uncooked, i wouldn't give it to my petitor. >> i am sure there are people who disagree doing it, but -- >> they are welcome to their opinion. >> one of the things you mentioned was the perforate g of the raw food and bones and things same deal with stick? >> correct. >> classic dog caring a stick smashed. >> classically, what we've seen sticks get lodged in the roof the mouth they cause discomfort sometimes little sprinters can perforate into the soft tissue, migrate through the body and cause

7:27 am
their blood pressure goes up it, could lead to misdiagnose and maybe take it couple every times? >> correct. actually do it about three times and take the average when we do it then and if we suspect it may just be stress, we may have them come back another time when they are a little more relaxed. and check it again to make sure saw doctors scare us. see you next time. >> 7:27 right now. and there is how much more ahead on "eyewitness news" this morning including, why gas prices are now going up in the area. also ahead shocking case of road rage. caught on camera. their bicyclist, recording what happened, when a driver attacks. we first tolbut unique runner in this year's penn relays, update on this inspirational sorely we continue at 7:30. we'll be right back.

it's a money maker. i mean, i just feel like our children are paying the price for these high stakes tests and their teachers are stressed out about it. so, teachers aren't benefiting. they're not getting information from these tests that are helpful for teaching. kids aren't benefiting because they don't even know what they got right or wrong. they just know that they feel really bad about it. parents aren't benefitting because i don't get any more information about my child. so the only people that could possibly be benefitting
7:29 am
from this are corporations who are making the tests and selling the tests.
