now, the focus is shifting to the injured and the homeless. we'll have the latest, plus this. a massive rally to protest the death of freddie gray, moves throughout baltimore. while it was mostly peaceful, there were isolated pockets of violence i'm craig boswell in baltimore, that's coming up. today is sunday, april 26th, good morning to you, thanks so much for joining us, i'm nicole brewer, it is 8:00 right now, we send it over to carol for more on today's forecast, an improvement, so that's good. >> it is, you know, we came in, it was dark. but i want to show you a window outside nicole, brightening up, already we've seen a lot of clouds through philadelphia, and i've shown this camera a million times this morning. and every time it was really cloudy now, look at it, a trend we would love to see continue for the rest of the day. we've got blue skies over the ben franklin bridge, we have melting snow, up at jack frost big boulder, with just fun this time of year, also notice

the sky beyond that, it is clear, looks really really pretty out there. storm scan3 showing right now we are dealing with clouds, that are on their way out and they will be thinning out as we go through the afternoon, i don't know that they'll be totally gone still we should be finding some sunshine out there, in a couple every clouds, not bad day at all. beach patrol down in margate right now extremely quiet as we watch the waves kind of roll in gently. not a big day, in the ocean and that way you can make it maybe a big day on the beach if you wear a jacket, because temperatures will be in the 50's today. at the shore, 49 right now in philadelphia, 48 in trenton 49 degrees in wilmington, and all of those temperatures to the north were in the 30's now in the 40's, that frost advisory for the north has expired, because the temperatures are coming up. and they'll continue to do that. 58 degrees by noon, by 3:00 p.m., 64 degrees, mixture of sun and clouds, and our computer models says get out of here. by 10:00 o'clock, we are watching them push down to the south, by 2:00 this afternoon

we should be finding more sunshine around here, and couple of clouds. we will check the seven day forecast, the end of it, you may really like, i'll show that you coming up. nicole? >> carol, thank you. well, new this morning the inner sent smoke of 52nd and walnut, remains closed while police investigate a car accident. two cars crashed knocking over light pole there. one car actually slammed into sun ray drug store located on the corner, while the other car ended up down the street on the sidewalk. the accident happened around 5:00 this morning. two people were taken to the hospital. but, we don't have any details on their conditions. >> a plan shot in the 4700 block of dara street around 11:00 last night. investigators tell us the unit dollars man is in extremely critical condition. there is no word on a suspect at this time. a pedestrian is struck by a car in bensalem. the accident happened just before 2:00 at the intersection of i95 and street

far away place, heart wrenching gun wrenching scenes from different century. but it is different for him nepal is home. this is so painful. >> devastating, so how can i express,? >> he is a small business owner in the united state for about five years now. he grew up in nepal in this house most of it now reduced to rubble. after the powerful earthquake, that brought down dozens of buildings, tore up roads and killed hundreds and hundreds of people. hoping his relatives aren't among them. can't get in contact with most of his family, still there. >> we know that they're okay at this point or have you -- just don't know? >> don't know. >> he shows us his facebook feed just a litany of destruction, as the nepal police share images of the horror with the rest of the worldment also hit home with this northeast philadelphia family. political refugees from nepal

fatally injured. craig boswell has the story as some demonstrators clashed with police. >> a protesters through a fiery trash can at police, as rallies over the death of freddie gray turned ugly. earlier, van as barge in windows, demonstrators through barricade at officers outside camden yard. position full rally demanded justice for gray, died in police custody last week. >> i think most of the city in solidarity. thawing cents marched from the spot where gray with a. was arrested. >> we are tired of being pushed around, tired of police brutality, and it needs to stop. >> gray died sunday of severe spinal injury a week after his arrest. individual joe shows gray dragging his leg. police did not say how he was stopped or why he was injured but admitted police made

mistakes. >> failed to give him medical attention in a timely manner multiple times. >> despite isolated pockets of violence overwhelming majority of protest verse been peaceful. organizers of the massive rally to city hall says the goal was to shut down the city. >> but bush johnson, manager of standard auto parts no intention every closing his doors. >> this is our community; we're not afraid. >> protesters plan another rally after the police investigation is completed next week. craig boswell, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". septa police arrest 18 year old, brawl at subway station. tuesday attack tentering garden station was all caught on camera. authorities say taken into custody on the 1600 block of fillmore street. he faces numerous charges and police are looking for three more suspects in this case. identified two people suspected he terrorizing local

cup. damian cornish, 23 year old bash at this williams, now facing host of charges. police say the pair were involved with three others, who allegedly kidnapped and robbed 86 year old george saunders, and his wife, priscilla jones. saddens is a korean war veteran. police say the suspect forced the terrified couple into car in west philadelphia, then drove them for hours rented two vehicles in vowed ers' names. they were eventually dropped off back to their neighborhood. >> 810:67:89 parent never look forward to the talk with their kids, you know, the birds and the bees. well, now there is another talk you should be having, it is called the tech talk. local mother turned author has advice for parent. and special show from up above. how all eyes are were on the sky in urban philadelphia. that story coming up

owner took her to the vet. they took x-ray they found gears, they found springs, they even found pieces every leather. after an operation mocha is just fine now. so that's the good news here, i guess you could call her a really good watchdog. oh, goodness i'm just glad she's okay. wow. >> wow is right. yes. yes. with dogs, it can make you be a better housekeeper. keep your stuff up high. you know nicole, we ' starting to see these skies thin out with the clouds, fortunately, so, we are getting the sun for sunday, and it is about time. we started on very gloomy note this morning. a lot of those clouds, but they're gone, just beautiful picture out there, as we really look at almost any location at this point. this is from palmyra overlooking the delaware, no icebergs, no ice cubes even, everything is warmed up from the winter, and we're looking at the beautiful view of philadelphia this morning. 48 degrees, our temperature right now and we will be getting a lot higher than yesterday. yesterday we stopped at 58.

today 64. in the four's every place. so, just couple every agree variation, four's, not bad start, what we should be starting at. should have temperature of 47 at this point in the morning. this time of the year. >> clouds, getting pulled out by system will take it out to sea. may still find clouds around here, but i think you will like the day today temperatures into the 60s mixture of sun and clouds find those variable sky conditions maybe a shower, not guarantee but maybe a shower on monday. temperatures remaining in the 60s, and tuesday they're in the 60s again we take away the shower chance, we boost the temperatures, so i think tuesday looks warmer and then wednesday looks even warmer than that. if you like these warmer temperatures we've got something to look forward to on the seven day forecast. >> keep the dog from 11, looking at few clouds out there they leave. by the time we hit this

afternoon and by 7:00 tonight we are still looking at mixture of sun and clouds out there. very shortly thereafter, it is just dark and clouds. but, overnight time period, looks very nice, tomorrow we see the sun and the clouds again and chance of picking up a shower. this computer model wants to make it spotty tomorrow afternoon and just a place or two. maybe even just a couple of more to the north. but, something to watch for on monday. chan after shower. tuesday better, breezy, nice looking day coming up tuesday. wednesday, i think may get my gold star, comparative gold star t may not be still area. may be few clouds on wednesday. but the temperatures, i think will be as warm as we'll see just about any time on that work day. seven day forecast, heading to the ballpark, are you today? perhaps you're one of the players? one of the fans? 60 degrees, 1:35 phillies take on the braves, partly sunny winds out of the north 10 miles an hour, and we have temperatures easy to take, 64

>> yesterday wasn't bad weather wise, today better, well, we just dropped one agree, it was 50, there is just a psychological difference between 49 and 50. so we will get back to 50 degrees and we will be adding temperatures to that, in fact, our high this afternoon, 64 degrees. easy to take, also, easy to take the clouds, leaving and the skies clearing up. and we're find that over the ben franklin bridge this morning. nice looking start to the day we have temperatures that are in the 40's, 49 out at the airport in philadelphia, and everybody else in the 40's at this point. we will be finding these temperatures climbing, as you head to the shore also, in the four's, right now. so that makes it easy. we can push on from. that will even the ocean is in the 40's, what's going on here? >> boards walk plaza, with temperatures in the 40's, people are in jackets right now, as you can see but the skies are starting to brighten up little bit. you can see on storm scan3 that the clouds are thinning, that rain that was well to the south of us, is pulling out to sea, that system pulling out and taking those clouds with it, and we are happy to help

gunshot wounds on the 1200 block every mechanic street in camden. he was returned to cooper university hospital, where he died. so far police have not made any arrests. well, police have now arrested three juveniles in the vicious beating after man at an olney gas station. the attack happened back on april 7th, on the corner of fifth street and somerville avenue. police say the suspects jumped out of the mini-van then beat that sick tim with a hammer and piece of wood. police had previously arrested three other women in that attack. all six suspect face attempted murder charges. >> well, scene of terrible tragedy is now dedicated as a place of healing. "eyewitness news" at the corner of germantown and allegheny streets in north philadelphia. a mural was officially unveiled honoring keisha williams and her three children, thomas read, terrence moore and key air a williams. the family was selling fruit on the corner last summer when they were struck and killed by

a pair of carjackers. >> i just have one last remark, for all of you out here today, hug your loved ones, cherish them, tell them you love them, each and every day. because you will never know when it may be too late. >> the ceremony also honored michael kevin williams, who was murdered on that lot back in 2013. >> well, philadelphia's 35th police district transformed into a movie theater saturday afternoon families were invited for fun filled day of activities including watching the animated movie big hero six. you can't have movie without smacks, right? so plenty every treats on hand, the event is part of the police district's community outreach project. >> we can just keep in touch with the community show some good old fellowship. share in bonds with some of the kids in the district. >> last night in washington journalists, politicians and
