international airport. chopper three was overhead, as the plane satan the runway, the flames from that engine fire were being extinguish, you can see white foam there and the 75 passengers on board, welshing they were evacuated from the plane and standing on the runway as officials brought that situation there under control. passengers were then put on a shuttle bus. here's what we have learn that plane was in route as we mentioned to newark. well, it was just over philadelphia when one of the captain called back, that they were reporting smoke on the plane and believed that they had an engine fire. that is when the plane made an emergency landing and dozens of other planes were held, circling in the air while the situation on the runway was put in control. >> they said there was a plane on the runway so we were detained and circling, in south philadelphia, about six times. >> i have travel enough that something is wrong. >> right, right. >> that simple.

protesters this afternoon. officers used pepper spray to keep them back. the authorities arrested 135 people, 34 of them, juveniles. officials say 20 officers were injured in monday's rioting and looting. right now 1,000 national guard troops are on the streets as clean up efforts begin. president obama condemned the violence during a news conference this afternoon. >> we cannot just leave this to the powe lease. there are police departments that have to do some soul searching. i think that there is some communities that have to do some soul searching but i think we as a country to have do some soul searching. >> wife live team three coverage of the riots. we will start with david spunt live where more protests are underway david? >> reporter: jessica, it has been a ebb and flow on the streets of the baltimore. right now we will take a live look at corner of pennsylvania and north, this is near where the the cbs burned down last

we are getting our first look at a woman whom prosecutors say was a key player in the scam to steel millions from senior citizens. our charlotte hoffman has been on top of this since last year and has this i team follow-up. >> reporter: jane van holt is accused of stripping elderly people of their life savings and using her senior care company to do it. "eyewitness news" in the atlantic county courthouse where van holt was a rain. she wanted to be seen as a trust worthy caregivers but state prosecutor yvonne mayor says van holt and her co-defendants were the opposite. >> they looked for people who were elderly and who had a assets. >> reporter: van holt who was a county caseworker for adult protective services before starting her own company is one of six charged in connection with the ten year-old conspiracy to allegedly steel 3.8 million-dollar from at least 16 victims. >> they name themselves power of attorney and heir to the estate and most of these people did not have capacity

on the rise again just in time for weekend just the way we like it. the right now in philadelphia 70. sixty-nine in allentown. zero seven in millville. sixty in the poconos. the wind still gusting gusting to 33. a same in wilmington. allentown gusting to 31. the the good news is those wind are subsiding and high pressure takes over. we will have clear skies overnight tonight. on storm scan three you can see north east, mid-atlantic looking dry messy down to the deep south, in the gulf of mexico and, low pressure. developing system will cross over florida and move up eastern seaboard as a nor'easter. it will come close enough to impact our weather but right now it doesn't look like we will have an enormous impact. wednesday look for sunshine, high pressure in control high slide away, it is not going to protect us as this coastal low moves up the seaboard. we will have additional cloud ahead of this, northeasterly wind. that will keep it cool with some showers. not a lot of rain a tenth to

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse i'll take them to federal court. as mayor i'll do what's right for them.
