kate was admitted a few hours ago. cbs news correspondent susan mcginnes is live with the latest. >> reporter: palace officials confirmed that the duchess of cambridge has been admitted in the exclusive private wing of st. mary a's hospital in lon on. the kate and prince william say they don't know if they are having a boy or girl but that has in the stopped people from guessing. >> girl,. >> boy yeah. >> reporter: duke a duchess of a little boy, kate had prince george at the the the same hospital almost two years ago. the doctors a this baby will come much more quickly then last time when kate was in labor here at st. mary a's hospital for ten and a half hours. royal bulletin will announce the baby's birth and againer on a golden easel in front of the buckingham palace. the name of the prince or princess will be september secret forever days. when prince george was been will and kate kept people guessing for two days first informing queen elizabeth of the name choice. in london susan mcginnes,

cbs-3, "eyewitness news". another live look at st. mary's hospital in london. we will have another live report coming up in the next hour here of "eyewitness news". and new this morning a two alarm fire is burning in wilmington this morning. fire fighters spent the night the there. this is new video coming in, to us from the 100 block of bank croft millions millions road. at times portions of the building collapsed end ising gusts of fire and smoke high in the night sky. so far there are no reports of any injuries. we're told that the building was under going renovations the at the time. we have a crew on the scene and we will have a live report just a ahead. and five people are rushed to the hospital following this accident involving a military convoy from fort dix. it happened on the new jersey turnpike, in hamilton township, mercer county late last night. three military members in the humvee were hurt. the the the driver was eject and flown to helen fold with another just injuries. two other victims had non-life

threatening injuries. two people in the black nissan suffered non-life threatening injuries and that crash remains under investigation this morning. and now to the latest on the charges against six officers in maryland. prosecutors a that the arrest of freddie gray was illegal and what happened to him in police custody was murder. the the officers are facing criminal charges most serious are murder charges file against caesar goodson he drove the police van in which gray a allegedly suffer a fatal injury. goodson could get 30 years in prison if found guilty. charges against the other five officers including inn volume will try manslaughter, assault and false imprisonment. one of the charged officers is from south jersey, edward nero grew up in sewell gloucester county a and member of the washington township fire department. our natasha brown has more on that. >> reporter: city that days ago erupted in to violence and chaos, transformed into a city

jubilant about news of arrest in the freddie gray case. >> the people are tired of those few bad seeds in the police department and they want them out of there. >> medical examiner's determination that mr. gray's death was a a homicide which we received today has led us to believe that we have probable cause to file criminal charges. >> reporter: six baltimore police officers are facing criminal charges in gray's death, freddie gray died one week after suffering a spinal cord injury in police custody one of the officers now charge is 29 year-old edward nero from sewell, new jersey who once served as a fire fighter with the washington township fire department. >> ed nero was a member of our department for approximately ten years from 2002 through about 2012 during his tenure with us he was an outstanding, dedicated fire fighter. he basically had a clean record, squeaky clean, never in trouble. he was an all around good guy for us. >> reporter: the investigation

reruled nero was one of three officers that loaded gray in the police wagon on his stomach. sources tell "eyewitness news" nero's family lives here in this neighborhood in sewell, new jersey. no comment from his family. >> what do we want? >> justice. >> reporter: no shortage of comments from local protesters who took to the streets of philadelphia a friday night winding their way through south street around city hall to the steps of the art museum a peaceful protest followed by days of unrest. >> the more people that come out and see what is going on and join marches join all of that and get into it. the get in tuned. be aware. >> reporter: officer nero is facing two counts of the second degree assault, one count of false imprisonment and two counts of the office misconduct. the other officers are facing much more serious charges including second degree murder and man slaught on. five of the six officers have posted bail and released, right now. in city hall, natasha brown cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

contained. a pair of stolen rentallal trucks has philadelphia police on alert ahead of the weekend full of special event. police say this man is one of the three wanted for stealing a u-haul like this one on sunday from the hunting park location. two days later someone stole a penske cargo truck from a rental store in south philadelphia. police don't know if the thefts are related but they are hoping the public can help fine them. >> at this point there is no evidence to believe that there is anything terrorism-related but my job is to always air on the side of the caution. >> the u-haul has an arizona license plate of ag30928, the penske truck has an indiana plate number of 2245222. if youe them you are urged to contact the police immediately. coming up next on "eyewitness news" gearing up for what some people are calling the the fight of the

saturday may second good morning i'm todd quinones. nicole is off today. the lets get outside to meteorologist carol erickson with a look at the weather. good morning to you carol. >> good morning, todd. we have great weather coming up. people will be thrilled to hear that. so many weekend plans. you are free to go out and enjoy the great out of doors today. it is a beautiful start too. did you note that is moon overnight? just gorgeous. taking a look at center city there are a few clouds in the sky but look the at the line of where there aren't clouds. this is just really like one of those san things where you put sand in various levels and that is what we have got this morning. we've got clouds, of varying levels but they are, just straight across the sky and a very interesting sunrise. cape may courthouse middletown ship high school 44 degrees right new but sunnies coming up and it looks like a nice looking day. storm scan three is showing another view of what those clouds look like. this is satellite view of them, not as interesting to many as the the actual ground

kate have a son prince george and right now this is a a live look at lindo wing of st. mary's hospital. crowds have been gathering as speculation grew over kate's actual due date. we will have a live report at 6:00 o'clock from st. mary's. and new this morning a two alarm fire is burning in wilmington. fire fighters have spent much of the night there. this is a look at the scene on the 100 block of bankcroft mills road. portions of the building collapsed end ising gusts high in the night sky. so far there are in reports of any injuries and in the just the last few minutes fire fighters placed the fire under control. they are still working to put out hot spots and "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff is at the scene and she tells us this is an old building that dates back to 1787. we will have have more information as it becomes available. and six baltimore police officers find themselves on

the other side of the law this morning. they have been arrested and charged with the death of freddie gray. cbs news correspondent craig boswell is in baltimore with the details. >> reporter: baltimore police enforced a 10:00 p.m. curfew taking away several people who staged a sit in outside city hall. overall, these protests were quite different from previous ones. >> i just feel the the most wonderful thing i have seen in a long time. >> reporter: residents are celebrating the arrests of the six officers involve in the death of the 25 year-old freddie gray, baltimore's top prosecutor says that gray's arrest was illegal and officers were negligent. >> the manner of death are deemed a homicide by maryland state medical examiner is believed to be as a result of the fatal your that occur while mr. gray was unrestrain by seat belt in the custody of the baltimore police department wagon. >> reporter: gray died of the severe spinal injury after a week of his april 12th arrest.
