. tornado alley, gets slammed and does major damage with reports of injuries from twisters across three states. and more probable and parliament with the prime minister. this is the cbs morning news update may 7th, 2015. good morning, i'm allison in for marie green. this morning, communities across the plains are cleaning up from damaging tornados and bracing for more severe weather.

the twisters damage destroyed dozens of homes. no deaths reported but people were injured in oklahoma. five are in critical condition. at tlooes three tore through oklahoma city area. and some are just a pile of rubble. the storms overturned power lines and snapped trees and brought flash flooding. a massive twister black thnd sky as it tore through and at least one in kansas and rural nebraska. >> reporter: debris from dozens of shattered homes litters the ground in as it tore through. >> they lined up. >> reporter: devastation was widespread as one tornado was an estimated half mile wide.

>> significant damage in the city of bridge creak. they just got hammered. ef 2, ef 3 damage. >> other twirsz reported in nebraska and kansas. >> and it was that base of this hill and threw tree debris and stuff down. >> and a day care center destroyed. a hotel in norman also sustained damage with winds over 150 mile-per-hour and heavy rains caused flooding in nearby moore, oklahoma. and the rain made it hard for people to see, not just forecasters but residents. and more is possible by the thoechbtd week. >> and conditions are right for more dangerous weather in the plains.

meteorologit at our wbc shows us the threat. >> we've been tracking these across the plains and more than a dozen of them and the wind reports and hail pretty damaging day across the plains. and the storm system is pushing up through the plains and adding low wind chill and the next couple of days similar thing. and we'll be watching oklahoma and texas pan handle for more tornados and damaging wind gusts you need to be on guard for. and then on friday the same zone and right across will be the highest risk area. and then as we look toward the end of the week, another storm pulls into the rockies and cold enough to bring snow and more chance of severe weather for

mother's day weekend. the first named storm of the season could be forming in the atlantic. they say it's forming in the southeast coast. the worst conditions should start tomorrow and into the weekend. rain and thunder likely and heavy surf. in the carolinas. this morning, tom brady is under fire in the deflate-gate. report says he was likely aware and likely about deflated footballs. that makes it easier for the ball to be caught. the nfl says it was no accident that footballs used by the patriots against the colts were underinflated. a league investigation concluded that patriots likely deflated the footballs and that quarterback tom brady knew about

it. back in january, brady denied any knowledge of deflate-gate. >> i would never do anything to fwlak rules p. >> league rules require it be 12.5 and 13.5. mcnally and equipment assistant were involved in a deliberate effort to release air after referees examined the balls and text messages suggesting inflation and mcnally also reportedly got signed footballs in return. roger goodell says the league will decide what happens next. we will continue our efforts to vigorously protect the league. >> i think he's going to take it serious and possible game suspension for tom brady.
