bike gangs in texas turns deadly a shoot out erupt tad crowded restaurant leaving nine people dead and nearly 20 others injured. gabriel row haws from our sister staying joins us live from waco with the latest. gabriel. >> reporter: natasha investigators have blocked off a massive space surrounding the twin peaks rest aunt where this all began. you can see there's still a very large police presence not only here but across the area because officers believe more gang members could still show up. >> nearly 35 years of law enforcement experience, that this is the most violent and most gruesome scene that i have dealt with. >> reporter: waco police sergeant said his department feared something like this could happen. for the last two months officers have responded to the twin peaks restaurants to break up fights involving motorcycle gangs. five separate groups converged with close to would hundred members in one place.

in plymouth township. sherri from our sister staying cues news radio has the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: residents from this quiet block woke up around thee 30:00 this morning to crack bling fire at a nearby warehouse warehouse. >> it was horrific. it was -- it was nightmare like looking. >> reporter: 50-foot flames billowing smoke and explosions met firefighters as they arrived at the american flooring and zen tech building here on caldwell lane. >> had multiple collapses of walls, structural walls inside and outside the building including the roof. >> reporter: fire chief michael burton said a major challenge was getting water to the fire which ripped through the building thanks to petroleum based chemicals that accelerated the burning. >> we believe we have a variety of chemicals that were used -- that's used in the flooring business that were involved in this fire. we do have some issue with potential run off that the dep and montgomery county montgomery counsel hazmat

some sunshine a breeze off the water and still a mild day with a shower in the poconos temperatures in the mid 70s. it does get cooler later this week. i'll scholl you the seven day forecast in just a few minutes. natasha. >> justin, thank you. severe weather meantime continues to batter the midwest as another round of storms hit the planes over the weekend. cbs news correspondent henna daniels has look at all the damage. >> reporter: powerful storm in kansas picked up this train tossed around the cars and left cargo everywhere. in iowa another train knocked right off the tracks leaving 80 cars lying on their sides. strong downpours dumped nearly a half foot of rain op north texas texas. stranding people inside their homes turning roads into rivers. national guard sent a helicopter to this house to pull people to safety. tornadoes blew through the planes along with heavy rain and hail createing treacherous conditions near wichita kansas. you can see this windshield getting smashed as the driver

you three more. first a familiar face, jim kenny kenny. he serve as member of city council since 1992. jessica dean sat down with him to talk about his vision for the city of physical. >> reporter: why do you want to run for mayor now? why is the time specifically right for now? >> i think the first time i was thinking about it i really didn't believe i was old enough or mature enough. i've gotten to the point in my career where i was finished with what i was trying to do in council and wanted to take the next step. >> he grew up in south philadelphia the oldest of four children born to firefighter father and stay at home mother. he's lived in philadelphia his whole life. and his entire career has been in public service. >> you've seen the mistakes you've seen things that have been done right and wrong. >> kenny cease the way forward as universal pre k the end of stop and frisk and equality for all philadelphian glass my goal every family nowhere they live in the city, no matter what their ethic or racial background no matter what their

economic status has a chance to have better lives and that they're parents. >> when we asked philadelphia i don't know what is mattered most to them. >> how do you real his tick klee consider with the current budget is fix our public school system? >> i don't think fix the schools schools. we fix the schools. harrisburg has had a constitutional responsibility to fully fund education in pennsylvania, in many ways they haven't done it. we need to continue to engage them to get a fair funding formula and immediate toll get reimbursement for charter schools. >> over the years kenny has acquired of reputation for speaking his mind. a reputation amplified by his twitter feed. remember that tweet at new jersey governor chris christie after the governor celebrated a dallas coys boy win with team owner jerry jones. >> well, in south philadelphia fat ass -- is not a slur. people call that you in terms endearment i'm didn't mean terms of endearment at the time. >> kenny says shows dates of tweeting his mind are probably

>> dozens turn out at one world trade center today for the first ever tunnel to tower stare climb climb. it was a grueling 90 floor climb witness proceeds going toward high tech homes for injured veterans. today's run was organized by a group named in honor of 21st responders who died on 9/11. while trying to get people out of the world trade center. pope franciscan nonuses two nuns during a ceremony in saint peters square. miriam and marie alfonzi became saints recognized for their work in the poor. they were born in the late 19th zen teen the first palestinian nuns to be cannon knifed. it comes days after the vatican formally recognized palestinian state hood. ♪ well now our philadelphia mayoral candidate profiles continue tonight.

we catch up with lynne abraham. philadelphia's long-time da has her sights set on the city's top job. and our own chris may recently sat down with abraham at her campaign headquarters in center city. >> reporter: she's spent more than 40 years shattering glass ceilings in physical politic at the redevelopment authority as a municipal court judge then for five terms as district attorney. and now lynne abraham wants to do it again. >> you have legitimate shot at becoming the first woman ever to be elected mayor of the city of philadelphia. what do you think that would mean to this city? >> i'm running for mayor because i'm the best ceo and the best trusted and proven leader and i also happen to be woman. >> a powerful woman. long associated with law enforcement. it's a mantle she's not fray afraid to carry even in the aftermath of ferguson and baltimore. abraham says as mayor she would tackle philadelphia's own problems with racism and race separation by making sure

everyone's concerns are heard. >> i will go back out to every community as i always have done every week and sit at some community table and listen to whoever wants to speak because they have a voice in my administration. >> she believes the wage tax is too high. that current business taxes make the city less attractive. and that pension reform is unavoidable. and while she opposes mayor nutter's property tax hike to provide more money for schools she says education spending has to go up. >> it is a disgrace. that our schools do not have librarians we don't have janitors we don't have nurses, we don't have counselors, so any taxes that are directed to the schools is superb and a good move. >> reporter: most importantly she says she's ready at 74 to be an active and engaged mayor. everyone saw that moment during the debate where you collapsed on stage. all right, ladies and gentlemen we'll pause for a quick break. >> should there will be any lingering questions in voters

the boards. inland our warmest spots. low and fit 70s still his hour. atlantic city 73 degrees. we can't beat skate in wildwood right along the shore line. really all across northeast mid atlantic still very mild sitting in that steamy air mass. it's warm, it's humid the showers we had earlier today have now diminished for the nighttime but it looks like bite afternoon tomorrow we'll see them pop up against again maybe a strong thunderstorm partly cloudy skies expected through the overnight into the start of your monday. so we'll get a weak front that kind of slides on thee from the north tomorrow. so this pushes more of an easterly wind through. eastern new jersey you'll get a breeze off the water your temperatures come down. once you get west of philadelphia very warm temperatures there should be in the 80-degree range. then we see a better chance for scattered showers and storms on tuesday as our next cold front moves in once again highs back into the mid 80s but once that cold front passes by, it lives up to its name.

we start to shift our winds out of the northwest that's a cooler drier flow from canada bring the temperatures back in the 70s get rid of the humidity it stays very pleasant for the second half of the um coming week. here's 8am tomorrow morning. you can seely clouds over the region a few peeks of sunshine but mainly dry conditions. here we go into the afternoon. just isolated showers maybe few thunderstorms popping up. again not everyone cease it. thing start to quiet down a little bit in the evening but still during the evening hours i think areas north and west of the city best shot still see wet weather and we'll do it all over again on tuesday. there's that approach of the cold front. you can see some more showers breaking out during the afternoon and perhaps even a thunderstorm. all right. notice the wind direction the arrows are now pointing to the west that means easterly wind for monday afternoon. that's why we cool it down a little bit especially areas east of philadelphia. but here we go right back at it on tuesday. more of a southwest to west wind that brings back the heat for tuesday afternoon. so tomorrow morning waking up with temperatures in the 60s to

around 70. should make it to near 80 for philadelphia. again even up into the lehigh valley the farther north and west you are away from the ocean you're even warmer. so kutztown, reading and berks county will be in the lower 80s. you get closer to philadelphia little bit cooler. upper -- uppero near 80 degrees. chilly right along the immediate coastline with that breeze right off the water temperatures drop into the 60s possibly by mid to late another afternoon on monday. big ridge in the jet stream continues that's why we're warm and humid once again for monday and tuesday. but watch what happens wednesday. you see that jet kind of sagging south. allowing that cooler air to move in fort end of the week. as we start off memorial day weekend it looks like temperature stay below average. overnight partly cloudy slight chance for shower 67 for the low. shower or storm is possible monday afternoon under partly sunny skies. warming back up to the 80s tuesday with afternoon shower or storm. wednesday and thursday humidity is gone. low to mid 70s. you see the beach ball that means orr at the shore begins

williams grabbed the headlines with one comment. >> the person who unfortunately is the person who uses stop and frisk the most the current commissioner would be changeed. we have to change commissioner in philadelphia. >> those words ellis sis the strong reaction from the current mayor. >> one of the smart test things that i've done is to ask charles ramsay to come and be the police commissioner steve philadelphia. anyone who is not smart enough to at least ask him to stay is probably not smart enough to run this city. >> at a press conference following that comment from mayor nutter william said he would not engage in what he called name calling. instead he said this was about ending stop and frisk. >> i do respect commissioner ramsay. i think he's a good person. i think he was charged -- now people have negative perspective perspective. >> when i sat down with him before all of this he told me about other changes he wanted to
