>> orders to restore full train service by monday morning, however the investigation into how this train ran off the rales tuesday night is far from complete. instead, more questions than answers, after investigators reveal late last week, that amtrak train 188 may have been hit with an object before the deadly crash. >> is there anyway that that could have been connected to the crash in some way? >> and you know that's a great point. it could be completely coincidental t could be causal. that's what we intends to find out. >> nts board member robert stopped by cbs "face the nation" sunday to talk about the investigation. officials had been looking into the track signal, until and speed as factors investigate have now also spoke win engineer brandon bostian. >> the engineer said he has no memory of anything. does that make sense snow. >> it certainly doesment as we know people can be an automobile in a crash and say i don't even remember the crash. i just woke up in the hospital. and so, that's typical some

not looking bad. you have got one or two little pocket of very light showers. currently rolling through portions every chester county and new castle county in delaware. and yes, as i said it, depends where you are what you are finding, actually 10-mile visibility in reading, for example, but just one county over in lancaster at half mile. so it will be somewhat patchy in nature, dover also, showing that you have got some lower visibility by comparison to a place like philadelphia, for example, but as the day progresses again, we are going to see at least some sunshine, help get rid of low-lying cloud cover. low 80s expectation in philadelphia, but everybody has the possibility for shower or thunderstorm, especially, later on today. justin, over to you. >> good morning katie, that's right, a lot of humidity out there to help fuel the showers and thunderstorm later on. so far so good out on the roads, dry conditions again you may run into few areas of patchy fog as you saw. visibility for the most part looking good. we take you to the airport right now skies starting to lighten up little bit. we approach sunrise and less than an hour or so, both

afternoon in wako. five gangs met up to focus on turf and recruitment when something went wrong. police new about the meeting in advance, and they were outside the restaurant when the shooting started. police did shoot some bikers but no word if any deaths were from police fire. wako police issued a warning to any gangs looking to avenge the shooting. >> we have been getting report throughout the day that bikers from out of state are headed this way. we would encourage them not to, because we have plenty of space in our county jail to put them there. >> wako police say that no innocent civilians were injured in the violence. they say that is because the -- of those officers and tactical teams that were in place monitoring the situation. >> well, isis on the attack again in iraq. the key city just captured despite effort from the american military. >> also, a marine mishap. when this helicopter burst into flames while landing. we'll have the latest on how those injured troops are doing. >> and, buckle up or risk

>> we have new video here every helicopter crash in had a we thee kill a marine. flames, thick black smoke filled the sky yesterday after what's being described as hard landing during a training exercise. one marine died, the other 21 people on boards were taken to the hospital. some with serious injuries. the cause of the crash is still under investigation. a seconds soldier has died after a humvee crash on the new jersey turnpike.

new jersey state police confirmed yesterday that 35 year old staff sergeant, bryce leak of new york passed away on thursday. leak and three other soldiers were part of a convoy driving through hamilton on may 1st when another vehicle hit their humvee. leak was ejected and suffered spinal injuries. the driver who hit the humvee is facing criminal charges. >> a major city in iraq falls to isis millitant. isis says this video shows iraqi troops racing out of ram de apparent retreat follows days of intense fighting between iraqi troops and isis. the battle leaves hundreds of civilians and soldiers dead. and there are now reports that isis is caring out mass execution of iraqi security forces. >> 5:13, let's get our traffic and weather together. here's kate. >> i good morning happy monday everyone, starting our work week off with summer like warmth out there. and very summer like pattern when you walk out the door, you feel the humidity out there. you probably even notice in some locations that you have got little bit of fog to deal

with. we are still tracking very large storm system the same storm responsible in fact, for yet another outbreak of weekend severe weather through the mid section of the country. as this crosses our area, we will find ourselves once again in a very slight risk, i shouldn't even satisfy slight marginal. lowest in terms of categories eggs, a stormy weather tomorrow. but eventually this is what has to cross through. then high pressure will build itself up and bring back some very nice weather to our area. comfortable is what i should say. 69 degrees currently at philadelphia international airport. a mild 70 for you currently in wilmington, and there is humidity in the air. notice that, very palpable, off to the west, also very warm, kind of on par here, even out toward chicago. but you can sweer the front crossed through. temperatures certainly take answer dive here in minneapolis, currently at pair of four's, through the dakotas, freeze warnings currently in effect here behind the storm system. now, as far as it pertains to us today that front not crossing through still going to find some moisture to work with, so i say as early as

i'm lynne abraham. when i became philadelphia's da, child victims had to face a judge ...a jury...the public... and testify eye to eye with their attackers. it wasn't right. so i got a constitutional amendment passed allowing children to testify remotely. i'm running for mayor for the same reason -- our children should come first. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i disagree. we have to improve education for all of our children.

when we take these tests we don't actually do anything. we use the tutorials. one of the tutorials showed things like how to change the background color in an online test environment and it takes time away from learning math and science and english and all the things that i really enjoy learning. they can't do as much because they have to administer this test on the computer. and that's really one of the worst parts of the test.

this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". happening now, amtrak is getting back on track after last week's deadly derailment. the first train from new york to philadelphia is leaving right now. a train from 30th street station will passover the rebuilt tracks in port richmond coming up in less than a half hour. now, the trains operating today along the northeast corridor are in complete compliance with federal safety orders.
