take to fix that road. so philadelphia police are trying to determine if this same suspect is responsible for two different assaults on woman. back in march a suspect tried to sexually a assault a woman in her home on chadwick street. early yesterday morning a woman awoke to a suspect standing over her bed on rosewood street. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry is live at special victims unit with the very latest on this, syma? >> reporter: jessica, police are looking for a sexual predator who could be linked to two cases in south philadelphia. both have happened within blocks of each other both times though the the women were awoke even to find a man in their bedroom in the middle of the night and both times the suspect wore a distinct pair of gloves. >> we got pretty dangerous individuals here. >> reporter: sexual predator is on the loose in south philadelphia. police say there is a possible link between two attacks. the the latest a happened monday morning on the 1800 block of rosewood street in point breeze.

police say the 35 year-old victim awoke to a masked man standing over her. he placed his hands over the victim's mouth demanded money and then sexually assaulted her. he took cash, house keys, victim roommates id and threatened her if she called police. the man then steals the victim's car leaving it the a few blocks away. >> that male is described as a black male in his late 20's to early 30's. he was described as being about 5-foot 8 inches to 5-foot 9 inches tall with a medium build. >> reporter: suspect wore red orr range gloves, that unique detail is in another case that happened only a few blocks away on the 1700 block of chadwick street back in march. the victim awoke to the man in her room, demanding money. he then choke, and tried to sexually assault the woman while her children were in the house. this composite sketch was made for the attack in march and now being used in both cases. >> same area same mo of the entry into the property

will install video cameras inside locomotive cabs to record actions of its trained engineers. that move follows the deadly derailment here in philadelphia earlier this month. "eyewitness news" investigative reporter walt hunter joins us live at 30th street station now with more, walt. >> reporter: chris, amtrak wants all of its passengers like ones boarding trains here at 30th street that come end of the year cameras will be monitoring every engineer in the cab. the question, however among attorneys for victims of this may 12th crash that killed eight people why weren't steps like this taken sooner. two weeks after train 188 flew off the rails ntsb investigators are still trying to find out what happened, inside of the cab as the the train suddenly accelerate todd 106 miles an hour, more than twice the the 50-mile an hour speed limit on the frank for junction curve. the the ntsb previously

police caught a man trying to take photographs up shoppers skirt this happened at wegmans in bethlehem pike in montgomery town ship may ninth. police released these surveillance photos of the suspect. pair of thieves, caught on camera stealing batteries in a north philadelphia repair shop. they were park in the lot at max's auto repair on oxford

unfortunately a very sad desperate situation in houston with all of that rain. that rivals any strong hurricane. it is really a amazing there on the flip side of that we are extremely dry. month of may in philadelphia you can see we have only had six days of rain that totaled to nearly .6 of an inch. we are over 2 inches below average for this month. we're going to stay try. as we machine for drought conditions you can see in southeastern pennsylvania the yellow that is a normally dry but as we look at the gold color through reading berks county lehigh valley, poconos, that is a moderate drought something to watch as we go in the summer season. we are not officially there yet. philadelphia 87, 88 in allentown and trenton. eighty in the poconos. look at the magic of the sea breeze. difference in pressure which land heat up and allows the ocean air to move inland. so you can see the cool, marine influence here. ocean city only 66. avalon 68. mild inner cape may with southerly wind at 74.

searching for two mask men who broke in the oxford circle home overnight. pair helped four people at gunpoint and tried to rob them but their haze think getaway left them with nothing. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch spoke to the home owner. >> reporter: shaken to show his face and we are toy give his name a man who tells us he is still cooling down after two men invaded his home overnight. >> i guess maybe ten or 15 minutes. >> reporter: their house invaded but not rob. the thieves took off before the heist was done. >> one guy ran out first without everything, and then the other guy came down and ran downstairs real fast. >> reporter: overnight police were park in the front and back of the house in the 2100 block of tyson avenue right after the break in. 3:00 a.m. man recalls hearing what he thought was his son and his son's girlfriend arguing. the it turns out they were close to the crime and he was too. >> once i seen that gun i said family first. trying to be a hero. >> reporter: two men facing

allegheny avenue in the port richmond section of the city, after a short struggle he got away. if you recognize that man you are asked to contact the police. >> police looking for a pair of teenagers who they say are responsible for string of robberies near temple university. on six occasions those suspects approached victims some of whom were temple students with black handguns and demanded cell phones and other valuables. two suspects described as black teens with medium builds, if you have any information on who they are you are asked to call police. some victims of the super storm sandy are hoping for a new solution to speed up rebuilding efforts. it is the latest in the battle over relief fund. congressman tom mcarthur announced tuesday he is sponsoring a bill so people who received disaster loans won't be penalized when borrowing grants. he wants it retroactive january 2012 and could help 32,000 people in the same situation asbellnotos. >> easy to get two and a half years after the storm that real peoples lives are still being ruined by this. i will feet to get this passed through the house. >> reporter: mcarthur plans to introduce bill next monday when congress reconvenes n berkley township i'm cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". two children of the blues legend bb king now believe their father was poisoned. king died nearly two weeks ago in las vegas at the age of 89. now cbs reporter michelle miller tells us police are looking into whether foul play may have been involved. >> ♪ >> reporter: man known as the king of the blues, was one of the most influential musicians in modern day history.

now, bb king's death is part of a homicide investigation. two of bb king's 11 surviving children said in a sworn affidavit i believe my father was murdered, i believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances to induce his priest mature death. the in the documents king's daughter karen williams and patty king said their father's business manager, laverne tally and personal a assistant myron johnson were only people around king in the weeks before his death. >> we are concerned about his medical care ape his well-being for months prior to his death. >> reporter: laris a represents the the women. >> people whether or not medical professionals were getting mr. king pills. they were giving him drops on his tongue, and those substances were locked up and kept away. >> reporter: on monday, nevada

officials said they took jurisdiction over musicians body because relatives of king alleged he was a victim of foul play. clark county coroner expects the investigation will take a minimum of six to eight weeks. bb king died may 14th at his home while under hospice care. his manager le vern tony worked with king for nearly four decade. tony retained legal control including power of attorney over king's affairs. one week before her father died karen williams went before a judge trying to get back control back. she said that relatives were being kept out of her father's gated community. >> he died and they were like why shouldn't family aloud to visit him and why shouldn't we be with our father, grandfather, uncle in his last days. >> reporter: the state of the nevada a twice looked into allegation that is king was being abused but investigators

celebrates 50 years we remember some historic local events, and today gambling got the green light in atlantic city. it was may 26th of 1978 when resorts casino opened up its doors making it the east coast first legal casino. crowd lined up on the boardwalk to get in a ac's new attraction. initial gaming laws in new jersey only allowed casinos to operate for 18 hours a day during the week and then 20 on weekend. of course, many casinos closed in recent years resorts has under gone renovations and remains opened today. >> we will be right back.
