meteorologist, kite bilo found a cool spot but we will start with meteorologist kathy orr live on the sky deck. >> we have shade right here, jessica it is hot and humid and that heat will stick around, and typically when we see spring that is this warm, it means that we are in for quite a warm summer. that remains to be seen. but for the the near future we are in it and it is going to be here for a while. take a look at temperatures that made it into the 90's, it is 90-degree club in warrington bucks county. ninety-two. green lane looking at 91. pennington, new jersey 91. bethlehem 91. blue bell 90 degrees. in philadelphia we made it to 89. right now 87. eighty's throughout the region. cooler when we get close to the water. atlantic city airport. 79 degrees. sea breeze has made it 10 miles inland. poconos it is a warm 81. our storm scan three has a few storms popping up well ahead of the cold front and in the poconos you will see darkening skies but most of the activity will be through

philadelphia police are investigating whether the same person is responsible for two different attacks on women. early yesterday a woman awoke to find a suspect, on rosewood street. and, chadwick street just back in march. syma chowdhry joins us now live from special victims with more on this, syma? >> well, chris police say sim laster to both attacks in south philadelphia, and women were targeted in the in middle of the night in their bedrooms in point breeze, both times there was no signs of forced entry and suspect wore a bright color gloves. >> ended up being brazen, bowl. >> reporter: sexual predator is targeted women in south philadelphia. late's tack happened monday morning on the 1800 block of rosewood street in point breeze. police say the 35 year-old victim awoke to a masked man in her bedroom.

he demanded money and then sexually assaulted her. the attacker took cash, house keeps, victim's roommate id and fled with the car which is found only a few blocks away. because of the mask victim could in the describe her attacker but did say that he wore red orr range gloves. police believe that detail to a similar attack that happened on the 1700 block of chadwick street back in march but victim managed to fight off suspect. this sketch was made from that incident and now being used for both cases. each time the attack starts off as a robbery and turns violent. man does not the appear to be a weapon n both cases there was no forced entry. >> the occupants cannot say whether they locked doors or windows. >> reporter: crucial detail linking the two incident are red orr range gloves worn by at salient. because the attacks happened near one another. >> my guess would be that the individual may well be from within that neighborhood. >> the smith's have lived here

admitted to the crime after failing a police polygraph test. police are searching for a man who is believed to have taken up skirt photos of the shoppers a at a wegmans. the alleged incident happened at wegmans on bethlehem pike in montgomery township back in may on may ninth today police released surveillance photos of the suspect and they say a he ran from the store after woman confronted him and drove out of that parking rot in the minivan. more changes are coming to improved safety along a northeast corridor following deadly train derailment in philadelphia amtrak plans to install video cameras to monitor the engineers of the trains. public. couple was killed on saturday, after the taxi in which they were riding in crashed along the the new jersey turnpike. police say that the nash a's were not wearing seat belts the taxi driver suffer non-life threatening injuries and the crash remains under investigation. seat belt safety is on the mind of many following that crash but how many of us do buckle up when we hailed a cab? "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff is in center city with a closer look. >> reporter: as we watched the typical cab rider at 30th street station grab for handles where they were headed and then. >> unaudible. >> did you wear a seat belt in your cab. >> no, i didn't. >> reporter: a dozen or so departure that is we watched only two reached for their seat belts. >> especially college students they don't want to put on seat belts. >> reporter: is malice a veteran cabdriver. >> twenty years now. >> reporter: he says his asks his back seat riders to buckle up but they are not required

to. >> a lot of people don't put on seat belt but they know it goodies but they don't want to put it on. >> reporter: new jersey and delaware law requires everyone inside a vehicle to wear their seat belt at all times but in pennsylvania that law only applies to children and those riding in the front seat. john nash and his wife were not wearing seat belt when they were thrown from the cab and killed saturday on the new jersey turnpike. about you if they had been stopped earlier by police the couple and driver could have been ticketed. >> we are not seeing everybody put on seat belt here. >> i tell drivers to buckle up, stay safe. >> reporter: do you think you will put your seat belt on in this cab. >> absolutely. we didn't see him buckle up. these riders may in the break any laws but they could risk their own lives. reporting from center city, alexandria hoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". camden city school officials are making last push to race for district. the the superintendent and staff went door to door to talk to families about the important answer of registering their three and four year-old for that

it cool, wind at 8 miles an hour. temperature wise it was a warm sticky day it is still a warm sticky evening. eighty-seven in allentown and philadelphia will mink ton at 83. eighty-one in the poconos. and down the shore a sea breeze down to the south barnegat light 65. sixty-seven in ocean city and avalon. ocean water temperature in the 50's, and upwelling event is going on when we have those strong southeasterly wind from the land and it actually pulse that warmer ocean what the's way from the beach and that colder water comes up from the bottom. it is going to be cold as far as ocean water is concern right through the end of the week. don't expect a warm up until the weekend. on storm scan three we have a few spotty showers that are well to the north of us, and you can see this comma shaped signature on the radar a of precipitation. that is a signature perfect textbook example of the strong area of lose pressure. severe weather with heavy rain through the the south and all this moving east but heat and humidity ahead of it will be

with us again tomorrow. a few scattered showers and storms popping up, tomorrow especially in the afternoon. at 7:00 a.m. we could see spotty showers but in the the heat of the day after 3:00 o'clock, some scattered showers and thunderstorms and by five or 6:00 o'clock, right through i-95 corridor even a few during the evening and then they could fire up again thursday afternoon especially through south jersey and then that front finally clears the delaware valley. you can see wednesday afternoon and evening localized downpours a possibility of hail and some gusty wind in these storms. humidity is going to be quite high for the next couple of days and then by the time we will make it to the weekend we should be seeing some relief by sunday. overnight tonight, the the temperatures 69 degrees, during the day tomorrow, high of 88. and then on the exclusive eyewitness weather seven day forecast and shore cast 87 thursday. better friday, steamy saturday sunday 81. june begins on monday, ape look at what happens it is much more comfortable.
